You realise just because it is 1 mana doesn't mean you have to play it turn 1, right? It's a combo card to allow you to double your buff spells, if you want a 1-drop play Northshire Cleric or Dire Mole or the new 1/3 that deals 5 damage to your hero and gains you 5 armor.
Well, they fixed that in Witchwood. The card shown here is the unupdated version, now it changes things depending on their class, which I'll note is relevant if you play it while you're Jaraxxus or a DK, and possible Ragnaros. Playing my Burgle Rogue deck, after turning into DK Gul'Dan it didn't buff my Warlock cards. I couldn't see if it buffed my Rogue cards since I only had Shadowsteps, but I assume it would.
Dalaran Mage for 1 mana cheaper which isn't bad. 4 Health at turn 2 is far more difficult to answer than at turn one so I'd put this at somewhere between Kobold Geomancer and Bloodmage Thalnos in power level. But yeah, 2nd form is bad. Probably same power level as Tainted Zealot
I like it! In a way it's like a slightly different Curious Glimmerroot where you are likely to get a worse card but you are sure to get one in case your opponent is playing a different deck than expected.
It's a lot closer to Voidcaller since you need to have it in hand and at 6 mana, it's hardly as dangerous to cheat something big out. Seems good, but far from amazing.

You can buy the class legendary one now before the dragon one appears. Once it does appear, I think the class legendary one is gone

Nope. It's a common neutral card that's also summoned by other cards.

Fair, although I think the reason it's 0/2 is because Primalfin Champion is a thing at 2 mana

You have to play the Overload AFTER you play Thunderhead.
2
Random Class cards from your opponent's class.
