Gunnolf posted a message on Kobolds is Handing Out Freebies - Which Legendary Weapon Are You Hoping For?Posted in: NewsAnything except Hunter, Shaman, Druid, Warrior, Paladin (oh please GOD not warrior, shaman and Especially not Hunter). So in this game of 'Get fucked roulette' the odds of getting what I want are not in my favor. #sadlife

Vernula posted a message on Calling it now, next expansion has legendary spells.Posted in: General DiscussionMark my woooords.
Much like the various weapon based cards in KFT could be used to predict Legendary Weapons in K&C (which I didn't do), we can extrapolate that the next expansion is going to be spell heavy due to several cards already revealed.
1) The Runespear and Rin, the First Disciple. Both are incredibly slow, with the Runespear having many things going against it and Rin being the literal slowest card in the entire game. These only make sense in slow, minion-light metas, and Priest just got at least two tools to help ensure that that's the type of meta we're gonna be living in.
What makes The Runespear good? Big, expensive spells that do big expensive things. What makes Rin good? People spending entire turns casting big expensive spells and buying you time.
2) We've got creatures that care for giant spells in Neutral. Much like how the Weapon matters cards were in Neutral in KFT, I think this is a point for Legendary spells. All signs (Arcane Tyrant, Spiteful Summoner and Grand Archivist to name three) point to large, big mana spells. Such spells are likely to be Legendary since we've had Legendary Hero cards, Legendary "Enchantment" cards, and now Legendary Weapon cards.
3) A lot of people have been asking for Legendary spells for a while now. Brode even announced Quests as being "kinda like the Legendary Spells you guys have been asking for".
4) A lot of questionable design choices (Crushing Walls, Psychic Scream, Rin, the First Disciple, Glacial Mysteries) become easy to see why they were made if we are going to see a slower, spell heavy expansion.
If I had money, I'd be willing to be that's what's up.
Just some cool little ideas for legendary spells:
Priest: 4 mana, skip your opponent's next turn. (Temporus makes me think this'll be it).
Shaman: 3 mana, refresh your mana crystals, overload (10).
Mage: 6 mana, add one of every Mage Secret to your deck.
Warlock: 8 mana, whenever you lose life because of an effect you control, gain that much life instead (lasts for the game).Edit: "Minionless Hunter" only works if this is the case, too.

Crazy_Gio posted a message on New Hunter Weapon - CandleshotPosted in: Card DiscussionIf only hunter had this before Small-Time Buccaneer got nerfed...
Anyway I don't think this is that good... Light's Justice is not good and health doesn't matter too much in hunter, unless that all spells deck is viable, but I don't think it will, for now at least.

For me it's a three-way-tie between Druid, Warlock, and Mage. Druid because I like toying with the new archetype, and Warlock and Mage because the DKs are fun.

You got a free choice of legendaries, so I'd say be happy :)

I prefer it golden.

When I'm trying to play a new fun deck and for some reason people are still netdecking pre-expansion decks in casual....

Oh I hate those occasions where your opponent's deck is so similar to a constructed deck. My last free arena run ended when I went up against a perfectly synergized hand buff paladin. Some people just have crazy luck.

You should probably rename this. "Overhyped" isn't how I'd describe cards like Archbishop Benedictus or Forge of Souls.

And then you cry when Spreading Madness deals 9 damage to your face and you gave your enemy a 3/6.
But in all seriousness, that might be viable. Probably more devastating to do Howlfiend and Treachery on turn 6, then SM next turn.

A small percentage of people say that this is Meta Defining. Who are these people.

I'd love to see more events like the Fire Festival, something that gives players an opportunity to make a lot of gold quickly.
