replaced Gormok the Impaler with Void Crusher helps a lot with removing Ysera or other high hp cards.

Bromanov91 posted a message on Ancestral KnowledgePosted in: Ancestral KnowledgeThe overload is 2 because an overload 1 would put it above Arcane Intellect, since you can play it sooner and combo it with more cards (Chromaggus on turn 10, for instance). That's generally the balance for overload cards: the combined cost is always more BECAUSE of that convenience. That's the drawback, otherwise overload is strictly better and only for one class. Same concept works for hero powers, since it's unlimited you pay for the convenience. 2 mana for a 1/1 or 2 mana for 2 damage or 2 mana for 1 damage isn't good AT ALL. But being able to play that without losing cards? That's worth the cost. Same concept applies for overload

Bromanov91 posted a message on Ancestral KnowledgePosted in: Ancestral KnowledgeIt's not fair to say that this card is "4 mana" for draw 2. The purpose of overload is to spend less mana THIS TURN. You will pay for it later, but the convenience of unconditional "draw 2 cards" might be worth it, especially for a class that has little card draw of its own.
Let's also not forget synergies with Unbound Elemental and Lava Shock. Like all overload cards, you gotta make that mana cost count. The drawback here is you can't always be sure that the overload (2) will be offset by your draw. overload is inherently flawed that way, it's like using credit cards when you have no money. But that's shaman's deal, and it can be fun. This card should help them keep their options open in the late game.At the end of the day, this card is competing with other card draw, like Battle Rage and Northshire Cleric, which can be combo'd into significantly more card draw for often less cost.

Oromashu posted a message on Avast! Pirate/Weaponpower RoguePosted in: Avast! Pirate/Weaponpower RogueI did a few test runs with the deck. I removed Gallywix, felt really slow. He also never saved me or won me a game. I played 11 matches and won 8 and lost 3. The three losses were to hunter and mage. You need a killer start against those two it seems. I also managed to defeat a Control Warrior, which seems to be the worst deck for Rogue to face, though Mill Rogue fares well against it.
I think the best start is perhaps t1 coin, t2 Deadly Poison, Dread Corsair. It's pretty sweet and won me every game I used it in. Tinker's Sharpsword Oil has won me a game. I think it's effective if you're facing aggro and each of you is going face and also holding a blade flurry for emergencies.
I'm considering adding Cold Blood, but like Southsea Captain at times, it can be a dead card.
Jeeves actually lost me a game because I was facing aggro hunter. I don't often get it in my starting hand so now sure how mandatory he is.
Anyways, cool deck, will play some more game soon and see how I fare.

Without having the luxury to actually play-test this card my assessment just at face value is that it sucks.
It's body doesn't justify the drawback. It should have been a 3/4.
My suspicion is that it probably was a 3/4 at some point in testing and that was too good so they nerfed it to a 2/4. I'm guessing the "balanced" statline is probably 2.5/4 but since that isn't a thing they erred on the side of suck.

It's not good unless comboed with something that can buff your webspinners to make them semi-relevant like a Dire Wolf Alpha. Even then it still might not be good enough to warrant the mana cost.
I'll still play with this card though in a casual deck. It looks like fun.

Yeah I'm reallly excited about putting Mirror Image and Arcane Missiles back into a mage deck.

Cool deck idea but it gets curb-stomped by other aggro decks, notably Zoolock and Mech Mage. The problem is you don't have a lot of replacement deathrattles so you lose the board really quickly and get swarmed. And Jeeves is totally worthless in those matchups. I tried it as / is but go matched up with stuff like Zombie Chow aggro because of blizzard's stupid pairing algorithm. I went 0-4 against the 4 decks I played (all aggro) and they weren't even that good of decks. I'm sure it's really insane against control, but I haven't been able to test against it.
I think this deck really needs Annoy-o-Tron to make it viable against aggro, and it also needs something to buff it like Abusive Sergeant.

Cool deck. I love tribal themes. I dropped Salty Dog in exchange for Sap. I also dropped Argent Squire in exchange for a Bloodsail Corsair. I defin like the Sap since it handles giant monsters you can't normally deal with and also has nice synergy with Jeeves. The corsair is questionable over the squire, but it's kinda cool because you can trigger a cannon with it, trigger One-eyed cheat stealth and it can get buffed by the captain. It's even helpful against most weapon decks. It's important to have cheap drops in this deck and not glut your hand with expensive cards otherwise they are hard to dump and get Jeeves online when you finally draw him.

Nice idea and really good core. I made a few changes after a few test runs.
-1 Blade Flurry
I generally only run one these in most rogue decks since it's dependent on having a weapon online, usually a buffed one.
-2 Jeeves
I really like this card but this deck seems a bit high cost to take advantage. If you're going to run it consider running something like Sap since it hurts their ability to take advantage of the card draw.
-2 Eviscerate
Mainly because you're glutted with 2 cc cards already. I'm not sure you need it in a deck like this, I might prefer a creature. I'll keep testing.
-1 Trade Prince Gallywix. Nice card I didn't have room for.
With the open slots I added the following:
1 Bloodsail Corsair
2 Cold Blood
1 Gnomish Inventor
1 Spellbreaker
1 The Black Knight
I added these cards primarily to deal with annoying taunt which seems problematic for this deck, especially sludge belcher. I put in a Gnomish Inventor to smooth out draws, cold blood combos nicely with One-Eyed Cheat and Bloodsail Corsair because it's a cheap way to trigger the cannon or combo with the added bonus of maybe removing a weapon.
