Absolutely not! I've been playing a lot of Elemental Mage the past weeks and that damn Mountain Giant on turn 3 or 4 always destroys my elemental synergy :P I can't wait for the update

I find 2 Sprints too expensive for them not being a threat. Even with 10-mana you can basically only Sprint and then play some 3-mana minion like this new wolf. That's not very scary considering you just used all your mana :P So Sprint is more like a preparation turn. With Gadgetzan Auctioneer it's ok to run two copies I think. But it also depends on the other cards you run. When you have a lot of cheap spells I would go with the Auctioneer. When you mainly want to draw into your spiders Sprint might be ok, too but I'm not a fan ;)

Shaman hast great ways to counter it with Hex and Devolve. It is often even ok to play devolve on just one minion. But when you can Hex the thing that comes out of Barnes or that 5/5 copy (I forgot the name of that spell) it really messes up their resurrects. At least the random ones without discover. So Even Shaman does quit well against Big Priest.

I have been playing a lot of elemental mage the last few weeks and am currently at rank 4 with the last 7 games being all wins. The one kibler was playing on steam some tone ago with book of specters. It's a lot of fun and I can totally recommend it.

I just got back to playing wild after a few months of standart. I usually play more wild than standart but this time the new year rotation made the standart format really fresh and new (and I needed a break from facing Big Priest). So I'm currently at rank 15 and playing around with this deck a bit. Had a lot fun yesterday where I got Anomalus and Frost Lich Jaina from my turn one and two Swashburglars :P Plus my opponents Dirty Rat pulled Anomalus on turn 2. Unfortunately I don't have the HS deck tracker running all the time since I sometimes play on Mac. But when I get some proof for my claims I'll let you know.

I agree with Kaladin. Spiteful is still very strong. I guess the reason it's not that common anymore is because it got hit by the nerfs and people (like you) disenchanted their Summoners. When playing Spiteful Druid you can even use Greedy Sprite to ramp up so you get to do your crazy stuff on turn 6, just as before ;)

Alright. Thanks for your reply :) It's just Lilian Voss that I'm missing from your list so maybe I'll craft her. I love playing thief/burgle Rogue and she'll also be in standart for another year so I guess that's enough of a reason.

btw: at what rank are/were you playing this deck and how much success are you having?

Is Lilian Voss one of your key cards or would you say it could be replaced by an Elise?

 Where did they state that it only applies to Shadow Visions?  That seems to be grossly inconsistent.  edit: I'm talking specifically about cards that say "discover a copy of a card/spell in your/your opponent's deck."  To date, I think only Shadow Visions and Drakonid Operative have that effect, but it would be ridiculous for one to be able to discover a Quest in a deck, and the other not. 

 Well, I was referring to the thread that is dedicated to Shadow Visions. And you are right, they can be discovered through other cards but all these cards need the Quest to specifically be in the pool of cards from what you discover (or get one at random). Like you said "in your/your opponent's deck". For Mind Vision it needs to be in your opponents hand, for Shadow Visions and Thoughtsteal in your/your opponent's deck etc. Cards that just give you a random spell or discover from your opponents class like Hallucination can't produce a Quest.

The tracker gives you a copy of keleseth so when you play the copy your original is still in the deck and his battlecries conditions are not fulfilled.

Do you mean fun deck or meme deck? Because I think there is a difference. For a meme deck I really like the weasel idea that was mentioned before. But fun is also the elemental mage deck kibler is playing the last few days. A lot of random and discover stuff is going on there which is really fun and it's more consistent than meme decks.

I feel like si:7 agent always belongs in tempo rogue decks. Maybe instead of tanglefur mystic? Or is it important for you? Si:7 is a huge swing especially when you have cards like counterfeit coin to activate it.

I think odd pally isn't and also wasn't as good as even pally. It lacks all the great cards the even version has and is thus much less oppressive. Even has truesilver champion, consecration, equality, pyromancer, Tarim... While odd really just has level up, stormwind champion and raid leader as a way to buff their dudes. So the match is all about board control. Odd pally can't really remove your board when they don't have a board themselves. In my opinion tempo decks work really well against them. Rogues with si:7 and their dagger are particularly good I think. But also warlocks despicable dreadlord works great since it clears the board just before they can play level up on turn 5.

thanks again for sharing your story. I already liked the first one but as you said in the beginning of this one, now it is probably more of a real experiment. Starting at the start of the season without a new year and everything in between. Congratulations on beating your previous record!

The most interesting thing for me is to hear about your encounters in the lower ranks. Since the new rank floor system is in place I haven't gone below 12 and that was just in the first month. So I'm not really effected by the increase in stars at the lower ranks. I'm usually aroung rank 5 most of the season so I don't know how the meta looks like around rank 15. And it's apparently a lot different from what I am seeing. It has been a while since I've seen Shudderwockfor example but the Shamans I face have Hagatha the Witch instead. Maybe you see the occasional meme deck at the floor of rank 5 but that's it.
