I did it with Odd Warrior, which fares pretty well against the wild meta. You can beat Even Shaman pretty consistently, you can outarmor Star Aligner (I didn't lose once to it, but you need to mulligan for brawl, because you need to have it ready for after the combo. One Druid bursted me for 56, still won). Very greedy control decks can be a problem, some Renolocks hold problems for you and can outvalue or outfatigue you, but most don't. Toggwaggle and Kingsbane destroy you, but they don't see much play. So, overall it is a good bet. However, the games are long and I don't know if you enjoy control without a win condition of its own.
I've only played one game with it so far against some sort of Big Spell Mage, so can't really say if it works or not :P But this one game was really fun ;)
I advise you to get Inkeeper and make your collection public. That way people can help you and suggest decks based on the cards you have. To make a somewhat viable deck with Tess you need Spectral Cutlass. If you just want to have fun you can put Hallucination, Blink Fox and Pick Pocket in a deck (luckily they are only commons/rares) with Tess and fill up the rest with other commons like Hench-Clan Thug and Tar Creeper or Saronite Chain Gang to ensure you get to the lategame and play Tess for some value. Don't forget Shadowstep so you can play multiple Tess ;)
First of all: yes. The biggest problem with it is that it breaks your elemental chain. If you don't want that to happen (because you want to play something like Blazecaller) you can play it from turn 8. Or turn 7 plus coin something else but that's stupid.
When playing elemental mage most of the time you have a lot of cards in your hand and on turn 8 it would summon a random 8 or even 9 drop I'd say. But that is way too late. You're already running Mountain Giant that benefits from a big hand and you can get that one out on turn 3 or 4 (plus it is an elemental now). When you are in the lategame you wanna get Frost Lich Jaina in play and start making Water Elementals. No time for this guy :)
Kibler played it a lot on stream .So you can watch his youtube highlights if you need advice ;) I've had a lot of fun with the deck myself. You need a lot more epic cards though...
I've just played some Monster Hunt as Toki and encountered "Experiment 3C". When the match starts your enemy emotes "The Lab... in Netherstorm". And when you win it emotes "We finally escaped". Did anyone notice that? Now that the theme of the new expansion is out there, it is pretty obvious that this was a hint for Boomsday Project (since it's a lab in netherstorm). Anyway, I just wanted to share this for anyone who might be interested :)
Mulligan for Fire Fly, Stonehill Defender and Tar Creeper. Use Glacial Shard on your opponent after he/she played that turn 3 weapon to force trading with minions. Don't try to get out your big stuff because even the giant can only trade with one Recruit and these are the guys you want to get rid of. Obviously board control is key and you don't want to allow your opponent a board where they can play a strong Level Up on. Rather get cheap stuff (like these elemental tokens) on the board than just pinging one recruit with your hero power. Unless of course you have spare mana ;)
Will this make Baron Geddon a safer craft by extension? He's one of the few Classic legendaries I'm still missing.
Baron Geddon is not necessary in Elemental Mage decks if that is what you are talking about. But it's a nice heal in the endgame when you are Frost Lich Jaina that can buy you another one or two turns.
I predict this change will be detrimental to elemental decks, especially Shaman with Servant of Kalimos.
Giants are strong in very specific decks with very specific synergies. Substantial discounts are necessary to make them worth it (or even play at all in arena).
Adding giants into the elemental pool will dilute the overall card quality for discovering elementals, since the giants will be unplayable in a deck not designed to capitalize on their discounts.
..........what?
you could play an elemental deck and just not include giants if they dont fit your theme.
I think he means that they could make the pool of Servant of Kalimos discover cards worse, when you are generally low on cards in your hand. Then you get offered two different giants and another "weak" option.

Haha. Word. I totally missed that one but it's quite important

2x giggling
2x fledgling
2x blink fox
1x bloodknight
1x owl
Would be my idea. I also run one assassinate instead of a second vilespine in case you don't have an activator for the combo.
Edit: and replace one leeroy with Baku :P

Would you mind sharing the decklist for this?

Ahm... you mean like Tyrande and Arthas and all the other alternate heroes we already can choose from? What a great and unique idea </irony>

Before the combo so you can maybe play a ransom and then copy your opponents ransom.

Where can you do this?

Damn. FeelsBadMan.
I've just put together a deck that is rather cheap and uses Tess. Check it out:
I've only played one game with it so far against some sort of Big Spell Mage, so can't really say if it works or not :P But this one game was really fun ;)
Edit: I also won this one game by the way

If you like the idea but are not f2p and have a bigger collection try this:
Kibler played it a lot on stream .So you can watch his youtube highlights if you need advice ;) I've had a lot of fun with the deck myself. You need a lot more epic cards though...

Wow, didn't know there were extra interactions for Dr Boom but it makes sense.
