Here is a new version taking some of the advice above. I cut the Rafaam's Scheme package for Zilliax, Bone Wraith, and another Shadow Bolt so that the deck has some more meat to it.
Ideally you do something like:
T1 - play quest
T2 - lifetap or questing explorer
T3 - shadowbolt or lifetap + mortal coil something
T4 - you can start playing taunts, clearing boards, etc.
T7+ - now you can use cards like twisting, godfrey to control the board more easily
I think if the deck is to have potential, it has to do more then clear and heal. The deck runs virtually no minions you can play proactively and renders you behind in every stage of the game. i do like the end combo, but I feel there is so much removal, the actual deck doesn't have much substance.
Yeah it's very reactive...
Maybe you could run the handlock package w Mountain Giant, Twilight Drake, and Sunfury Protector but you would have to cut a lot of board clears or card draw. Might be worth the trade-off though.
i dunno, i dont see why I would play this when I can get my mogu combo setup in rogue with just Togwaggle's Scheme and Tak Nozwhisker
I see what you mean but historically Warlock has been much better at actually getting to that stage of the game, I don't see any Rogue build being able to survive to turn 10 with CC Mage or Secret Hunter hanging around.
Here is a Mogu Cultist combo warlock I plan on trying out. Do you think this deck has any potential? What changes would you make to it to help its viability?
I will post how the combo works as a comment below. Here is the deck:
The idea is that Rogue can use this ability as a powerful armor hate card that is pretty useless otherwise (Sorry Magma Rager) but Warrior can use it to create a big threat to close out midrange games. What do you guys think? Is this too OP against armor classes or does the oppurtunity cost balance them?
I'm surprised people are so down on this card, it certainly isn't too impressive as a pure minion but that is the dream deathrattle for a magnetic deck.
A mech deck's power level will likely come down to how easy it is to land magnetic buffs and this is a card you can play turn 4 and almost guarantee landing a buff on turn 5! Though personally I'm sad that the 3 microbots make it unplayable in a paladin mech deck that cares about Endless Army.
Something I haven't seen mentioned is that, although paladin doesn't have any good deathrattle activators, this is a super beefy boi to stick a couple magnets on to and res with their new legendary spell!
Maybe sounds just so-so but I think you might also run Oakheart in that deck with the new 2-mana targeted card draw and HEY! this is a big mech that Oakheart can pull! Something I'll be experimenting with at least. Probably good in a hunter mech-rattle deck regardless.
EDIT: I really hope that one day they add multi-tribal cards that aren't Amalgam so this can become a proper Dragon/Mech card
Dire mole and Armored Beetle had an OP 1 drop baby!
I'm starting to get really hyped for Odd Mech Warrior. I had a ton of fun this last season playing Odd Taunt Warrior and the new warrior cards have all been odd-costed so it really seems they are pushing the archetype in some interesting directions.
This can really get out of hand against aggro if you can even land one magnetic minion on this guy. Love it.

...does nothing for this deck. You only really want the quest to pull off the combo and you will have to draw more than 20 cards to do that anyway.

I think this is how I would build it, I cut consecration to be more of an all-in deck but that might be a mistake.
I also run double Redemption and Autodefense Matrix since those are what you want from Desperate Measures regardless and running more secrets makes our Prismatic Lens more potent.

Blatant Decoy is a great idea, I will probably try this out if I get any in my packs
Cut the giants, put in Subdue x 2 and the deck looks way better

The combo requires Quest completion and goes as follows:
—TURN 1—
—TURN 2—
—BONUS—

You could potentially cut other combo cards?
I can't think of any combos right now but with two extra turns maybe you just need some cheep aggro minions that you can slam with the quest reward.
Edit: as opposed to running apprentice, copy spells, Antonidas, etc.

Minion Mage OP??!?!
But tbh kinda underwhelmed, was hoping for a wackier effect.

Even using this on an odd Warpath turn with your extra mana is potentially pretty strong, almost like an Arcane Artificer or a Drywhisker Armorer for odd decks.
