The main complaint in this thread is that the mage might get a turn 3 fattie if he skips his turn 2. If your deck cannot respond to that, then it is simply a bad deck and you should stop playing it.
More classes can get a turn 3 fattie and much more consistently. Velen's Chosen, Innervate and Edwin VanCleef are some quick examples of early huge minion generators, with the added benefit of being 100% controlable.
The Unstable Portal suffers from the same problem as Bane of Doom and the Shredder series. Most of the time they will be relatively fair, sometimes they will whiff and put you at a disadvantage and sometimes they will put you ahead. However the majority of players will only remember those flashy occurencies that turned the tide of a game once upon a time...

Hearthstone provides you with a much more superior online experience than MTG does (and I think Hearthstone would be a pretty lame paper card game if they ever decided to go that route). But at least you can play MTG without needing a computer, and I still prefer the paper card experience over online CCGs. Depends on what you like, it's very difficult to judge which one is better because they both have their own merits.

I've actually won games with Flying Machine in one of my decks so it didn't make the cut. Playing Gelbin often works out better for your opponent so that's why he's in. He's awful.

It doesn't up the damage anymore if you played it twice, it doesn't work like shadowform where the second one ups the dmg of the first one. Once you get the Fireblast Rank 2, it'll deal 2 dmg unless there are Fallen Hero's on the board (or any other potential card that buffs hero powers).

I'd hold on to Cairne unless he's a copy of one you already have. It's an excellent card in own right, very flexible and versatile. I'd personally go Sylvanas if you're heart is really set on it. If your opponent has minions out it automatically throws them into an awkward spot, plus it's just great removal bait if nothing else. It's part of my personal "Big Four" in Hearthstone: Rag, Ysera, Sylvanas, Dr. Boom.

Exactly! I wish everyone would give the mode some time. I admit I'm not thrilled about this weeks Brawl (I think there is more than enough emphasis on aggro in this game, and this weeks Brawl just screams "PLAY AGGRO!!!"...how dull), but it's ok. I can just wait a week and a different one shall appear! And it's FREE! Remember the days when people actually liked free stuff? How times have changed...

Who complains about something that is free? What's that saying about you, the gaming community, and society as a whole? Sorry, but it just blows my mind. If you don't want to play it then don't, it's not like it costs anything. I'm just finding comments on some of these forum discussions bashing the mode. How worthless it is, like the implementation of Tavern Brawls actually hurt you or took something from you. Don't mistake me, you're allowed to have your opinion on it and anything else, but keep things in perspective and try and be more constructive instead of just deploring and protesting it. I'm sure Blizzard would appreciate discussion's on ways to improve it as well (it's not like they ignore the community). I would personally suggest giving players a choice between two or three brawl types. On a final note, it's not like I don't see forum discussions on theorycrafting and suggesting new, innovative ways to play the game either, I just want to encourage more of it. Thanks for reading, and if I said offended you...well deal with it.

I don't think you can quantify player ability or competence based upon rank. There are a lot of great, decent, and awful players at every rank. A lot of bad players do really well and get up to high ranks because they're playing the deck that is currently OP on the meta, and vice versa. I find the higher ranks absolutely boring and miserable (highest I've gotten is Rank 6) because everyone is pretty much playing the same deck they found on the front page of Hearthpwn with 200+ upvotes. The bottom ranks are filled with newbies but at least there are more people trying out a variety of different and creative decks. I'd say ranks 17 through 10 strike the best balance between variety and decent players, but again there's a lot more that needs to be taken into account. I think as long as you're having fun and the game isn't stressing you out it doesn't really matter what rank you are. If you find that kind of place in the ladder I'd stick there, unless you just want to go legend.

Not to mention there is already a forum discussion dedicated to such complaints,

Well, when I moan about this I at least feel like my heart is in the right place. When people moan about trivial things such as certain deck archetypes and cards, I feel like they are taking attention away from more creative and interesting forum posts such as potential expansions, and posts asking for help in building decks or understanding the game.

Is it just me? I know I'm going to come off sounding like some 58 year old kook in this post, but I just need to let loose once in a blue moon. Obviously some peoples complaints and justified, but the majority of ones I've seen - especially lately - just aren't in my opinion. I think complaints about the new hero prices are fine. Deploring the lack of deck slots and new game modes is welcome if it'll actually make the developers do something about it. The outdated reward system? Feel free to go absolutely nuts on that! I don't even mind people blowing off steam about some RNG that didn't go their way, but I think when people take it further than that is when I start to get pissed off. Let me give you a specific example that applies to many other things people are currently whining about.
Let's talk about the ridiculous amount of people complaining about GP Warrior like it's the worst thing to happen to HS in a long time (does anybody remember how every other deck trend has been WAY worse than GP? Miracle Rogue? Anyone?), it just seem like grievances made by whiners with a "It's too hard! I can't do it!" attitude, who would rather pine for a fix/nerf rather than actually use their heads to come up with a solution, probably because it's easier to do so (I haven't found countering GP very difficult, even with decks that aren't specifically designed with that in mind). So many people just seem to want nerfs to just be handed down instead of just going with the flow and letting the meta and the rest of the community regulate itself. I understand that it's pretty easy to get salty after a loss (or a string of losses) but people just need to learn to take a break, chill and then try again. It's almost like complaining about not climaxing after two and a half hours of jerking off, it's not the fault of girl (or guy, no one's judging) in the video is it?
It's not just GP, people seem to be complaining about half the cards that are in the game. I've seen complains about cards like Tinker's Sharpsword Oil, Unstable Portal, Emperor Thaurissan, Fireguard Destroyer, Kel'Thuzad, Gang Up and many others (feel free to add others you've noticed). There's even the occasional poster wondering why they even play the game while pissing all over it. Maybe a few of these are valid complaints, but do you wanna know how to solve the vast majority of the problems you're having? Don't take the game so seriously and learn how to play smarter. Be conservative with your removal, careful with your minions, and learn from games, and ask for help on the forums instead of acting a complete sissy, even if RNG was the ONLY cause of your misfortune (which is doubtful, you just don't realize it because of perspective). If you're mad that RNGesus screwed you over, either get over it or go take a walk. Get a massage, a haircut, a mani-pedi or whatever makes you feel good. The only guys who really have a right to get salty over the little things are the guys who make this their living. Stop acting like it happens all the time, because it doesn't. That's your brain being a prick and only remember the bad times instead of the times you played great and flawlessly.
Anyway, I'm almost done with my little manifesto here. I might just be arguing against human nature in this day and age. Heck, I might be becoming the thing I'm complaining about just by typing all of this, but whatever. I'm probably gonna get hated on and blasted by some overly sensitive keyboard warriors. I don't care, I just needed to put this out there. Maybe I am being harsh, but I don't think there's enough of that anymore nowadays. Seriously people, cool your jets and stop clogging the forums with personal grievances and little BS that doesn't matter. If you're pissed of go find that forum discussion started specifically for that stuff. Try being positive for once, it literally does improve your mood. Like I asked at the beginning; is it just me? Please tell me I'm not alone on this. Hopefully I've may have changed some trains of thought, or at least said what others are thinking. Regardless, thanks for reading (hopefully you actually did read the whole thing) and putting up with my rambling, my numerous grammatical errors I've probably made (just let them go, don't be a grammar nerd, thx), and me going off topic like a dozen times lol.
P.S. If you feel the same way, don't be shy about saying so and speak up. I'd like to see more people put their foot down against this kind of stuff in the forums.
