Well maybe Brewmaster is not in the Core Set, we can't know until all the Core Set is revealed.

Mysterymask posted a message on Nobody talking about Ysera nerfPosted in: General Discussion...ummm this is a buff
With the old ysera you might get her for what 2 turns at most and all youll get out of her is that lovely sound of "is there trouble?"
At least with this one you're guarenteed the good dreams before she dies

EnigmaXIV posted a message on Dust Economy Rant (in response to today's Blizzcon Q&A )Posted in: General DiscussionThe dust economy is precisely intertwined and equivalent with the gold economy. The cost of enchanting and disenchanting is a very specific cost that reflects on the rarity of the cards. Other games usually work at a monetary loss with their crafting systems making up the costs elsewhere, while Hearthstone does not and is one of the most expensive online card games to create and maintain.
How exactly would you propose to fix the dust economy? It is much easier to say 'fix it' than to actually fix it --- it's not entirely a simple problem; there already is a balance and changing one thing causes more problems elsewhere to then fix. I suppose they could just double the value of dust, but then that's a huge loss of revenue (perhaps they would charge more for other things in the game); this also does not stop how people will react feeling cheated because they already spent their dust at a worse value (similarly why they already give full dust disenchantment refunds when cards get nerfed). Maybe they could scale the card rarities to be less rare making it easier to attain the cards, thus making dust cheaper, but this creates quite a disparity between dust and gold and does not remedy the problem; however lessens the need for crafting.
One minor thing I would love to see regarding dust is a gold to dust converter and vice versa. You would be able to spend X gold to gain X dust (similar, but a more consistent value to disenchanting packs). An additional, perhaps a better, suggestion would be to add more dust rewards, instead of just gold rewards when playing the game.

Danjo posted a message on Just me a bit disappointed by the theme of the expansion?Posted in: General DiscussionI disagree. The Barrens is iconic, and has a quintessential "Horde" vibe. Anyone who has ever played WoW, Horse or Alliance, probably has at least a few fond memories of this place.
I'm looking forward to the expansion and the shenanigans it will bring. I've been trying out Regis's OTK with Vol'jin this morning, to mixed results. It's gonna be a fun expansion.

Amaranthus posted a message on Patch Notes 19.6 - Balance Changes, Pre-Purchase, Book of Heroes & More!Posted in: NewsNot a fan of the Alura nerf. Not debating a nerf itself is justified. In my opinion, they do too much mana dependent nerfs instead of mechanical nerfs. The problem with Alura is that it's an extremely high variance card and you can tutor out big spells like Cheese Paladin does. So why not impose a limit to the mana cost of the spell she casts or let her only cast certain buff spells?
She fit in very well in the 4-mana slot for Pure Paladin, whereas there already are Aldor Truthseeker and Blessing of Authority for 5 mana. The nerf was mostly because of Cheese Paladin I guess, but I think it will hurt Pure Paladin a lot as well.

RepoMan0077 posted a message on Press F to pay respects to Classic DragonsPosted in: Card DiscussionI like the new versions better. The older ones were too costly and too situational. Sure if you can find a way to cheat out Malgyos, it was nice, but this will be useful in way more decks as it replenishes your hand with spells and is a fantastic topdeck card.
This version of Deathwing is MUCH BETTER as you don’t have to lose your ENTIRE HAND.
And with Ysera, you were lucky to have it on the board for two turns at the most. There’s hardly ever a scenario where you maximize its potential. With the new version you are guaranteed to get every single generated card to your hand immediately. This is invaluable. This also means you can create an endless loop by returning it back to your hand and playing it again next turn....

At this point Blizz can keep their free packs from playing tavern brawls. Not worth the time.

I only play 4 or 5 games of battlegrounds a week but the race to poison / divine shield murlocs in every game ruins what is otherwise a fun game mode. Why blizzard haven't removed gentle megasaur yet , or at least it's ability to give poison, is a total mystery to me.

Kibler then, but thats like asking if I be prefer being punched in the face or kicked in the balls.

Option 3 - Would rather use a cheese grater on my crotch than watch either. Regis especially makes me want to place my foot through the screen.

I perfectly understand your nasty comment that insulted everyone before you who expressed dissapointment at their pack openings. It's easy to be arrogant and unpleasent when you're sat behind a keyboard and monitor and then go crying to the mods when someone points it out to you. Just a ashame those same mods aren't consistent as you insulted a lot more people than I did.

If it's rigged for you to lose (as you are implying), why would it queue you into 4 decks in a row that you say you were easily beating?

I don't believe the game is rigged, but matchmaking is no way 100% random either. I know MMR is a factor but when you play a class for 10 games and don't see a certain other class/archetype, then swap decks and the mix of opponents decks you get for the next x amount of games is totally different, there is something more going on for sure.
I'm 99% sure this line on the HS gamepedia is total BS.
The player's matchmaking value is the only data used in the matchmaking process: other details, such as class, deck, or playing history are not taken into account and never affect matchmaking.
1
I imagine balancing dual class cards is a lot harder than single class, especially as they seem to be using 'class identity' like overload, so I'm not sure they're cutting any corners. Unless it's a total unbalanced shitshow when it releases.

Plus let us know how you get on at the Grandmasters.

How about just playing the game and not worrying about opinions of people who have no direct consquence upon your game play experience. I understand civil discussion is almost impossible on these boards so I'm not going to suggest entering into meaningful discourse with the people with these opinions, but I'm guessing you're a clever person who can tell from a threads title if you're going to be triggered by it.
