posted a message on Consensus on Princess Talanji?

Hello. I play a lot of priest but haven't unpacked either Talanji or Bwonsamdi so far. I'm currently considering crafting Princess Talanji as a card to create some tempo in an otherwise slow control priest build with or without the quest. For people who have the card, and have tried playing it in a similar deck, how do you rate it? Does the tempo swing end up mattering significantly in matches where you have to create pressure? Does it feel like it wins you matches which you couldn't have won without her tempo? Any experience is appreciated.

Grats on those stats for sure!

But I am dumbstruck that you went 12-0 with this.. It does seem to have good cards and awesome interactions, but it has 12 cards above 6+ mana! After that also 2x Grizzly bears and 2x spellstones at 5 mana. So basically you MUST luck out on getting a perfect secret package + spellstone ready at turn 5 or otherwise I cannot comprehend this beating any sort of aggro.

Out of those 12 games how many aggro were there? And if there were some, they must have had some seriously bad draws themselves.

Spellstone is definitely the key card in keeping up with aggro, but even without it, between disruptive secrets, Bow, Animal Companion and Flanking strike, it is possible to stall the game until Kathrena or Big taunts can stabilise. Also, Revenge of the Wild can also help out a lot early in aggro match-ups, even if you use it to bring back a single Animal Companion.

I faced about five aggro decks on my run - 2 pre-Rastakhan heal zoo, 2 odd rogue and an odd Paladin. I had spellstone in a couple of those games. Honestly, when I made this deck I didn't expect it to be able to get to the power turns this consistently, but it seems pretty good at doing that. I've been having great results on ranked as well so far. Some of it is probably down to the fact that people are still experimenting, so all decks aren't hyperaggro all the time. But even in the aggro match-ups this seems to hold its own.

Why not run Abominable Bowman aswell for Boom-Zooka Combo?

Firstly I don't have Bowman, and secondly even if I had it, I don't think I would run it. There is a critical mass of minions vs spells in this deck, and I wouldn't replace any of the beasts in the package. You can try it out with Bowman and let me know how it works out. What card would you cut for it?

Went 12-0 with this deck in the Brawliseum, and been doing well on ladder too. Its delightfully fun to play and seems devastatingly powerful.

Wolves, Lions, Bears and Dinosaurs charging at you over and over again will eventually get the job done! For anybody who wants to try it out: I present the True Zoo Hunter!

    Cretaceous Hunter
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (11) Ability (16) Weapon (1) Playable Hero (2)
    Loading Collection

     Obvious synergies:

Flark's Boom-Zooka + Revenge of the Wild is devastatingly powerful. And I have been pulling it off surprisingly frequently.

Zul'jin repeats the above combo given that Flark's Boom-Zooka triggers before at least one copy of Revenge of the Wild.

Revenge of the Wild on any board of beasts. Everybody expected this card to be good, and it really is.

Master's Call is almost always a draw three for this deck. Pretty useful in the lategame to fish out your remaining threats.

What do you mean? What is this deck for? For which boss in which adventure? Or are you talking about some kind of challenge where you clear some specific adventure with just one pre-made deck?

posted a message on Why is control warlock tier 4 deck?

How long have you been playing Control Warlock for? It is a nuanced deck to pilot, and very powerful when piloted correctly. Just crafting an expensive deck doesn't guarantee good results, experience does over time. It can absolutely win against non-aggro decks as well, contrary to what some other people have said above. Just that it requires a thorough knowledge of your opponents deck, and pacing your gameplay accordingly. It can even defeat anti-control decks like Kingsbane Rogue by holding key cards like Ooze and Gnomeferatu until the correct moment.

That being said, control decks want to control the various decks in a meta, and so they are refined after the meta settles somewhat following a new expansion. Depending upon what aggro, midrange and control decks are being played, a control deck chooses it's optimal decklist and gameplan. So it might take a couple of weeks for Control Warlock to be the best it can be for this expansion. But if you are stuck at Rank 25 with it, you are definitely playing it incorrectly. Maybe try to watch somebody on YouTube pilot some deck like that? Or just keep playing, and review your matches. You need experience to be able to play a control deck well.

posted a message on Let’s guess druids loa
    Quote from Malygoddd >>

We can assume that the druid loa will be a beast and that it will interact with your hero’s attack based on the cards shown.

I predict: 10 mana 7/5 taunt: Your hero never loses its attack damage.

This means that druids could stack damage from their hero power, and it would have synergy with cards like bite. It would make a cool new archetype, probably overpowered, but I would love playing a deck like that where you slowly gain up attack.

    Any other predictions?

That would be incredibly overpowered even on a ten mana card. Malfurion, the Pestilent would allow you to gain 3 attack per turn, not to mention that it would act as a perpetually present board clear as enemy minions would take the damage equal to the attack of the hero when attacking face.

    Quote from Ch4ce >>

Based on the last two expansions, one class will probably get a new Hero legendary. Paladin, Priest, Mage and Warlock have had all of their legendaries announced already, and Warrior and Shaman had the last 2 heroes.
Meaning, One of Druid, Rogue or Hunter should have the new hero legendary.

IMO, of the three, Druid has the least powerful DK. So the loa may well be that. I just don't know what it might be...?

I imagine it will have some kind of beast synergy, looking at the cards already announced.

Firstly, Druid's Hero Card is the most versatile in the game, certainly better than Rogue's. Secondly, Zul'jin has been confirmed to be the new Hero Card for Hunter.

posted a message on Unexpected PTSD

So, I started playing Hearthstone one month into the MSoG meta, and spent my first two months at rank 20-15 getting absolutely decimated by Jade Druids. And naturally, I hated the deck. Eventually, the newbie sentiment of 'hating the deck that destroys you' wore off, but my hatred for Jade Druid continued, because of my distaste for the Jade mechanic.

With rotation, I had slowly forgotten about the deck. But over the last month, I have been playing Wild ladder for the first time, and I encountered a handful of Jade Druids along the way. I was quite taken aback by the visceral hatred I still had for the deck. I am generally not someone who has a strong reaction to a game, and I didn't even lose to most of these Druids. But every time the first Jade Spirit or Jade Idol came down, I could feel a long-forgotten rage well up inside.

This made me interested in similar stories other people might have. Did any deck come to haunt you from the dead when you started playing Wild? Any particular no-longer-rational hatred that you harbour towards some particular deck?

Wouldn't this make Gul'dan immortal as he won't get fatigue dmg and healed the 3dmg with every HP?

No. Bloodreaver Gul'dan does not have lifesteal. Siphon Life has lifesteal. This is why you do not gain health when attacking with a weapon as Gul'dan. Although even if that was how Gul'dan worked you would still not gain life because it is the spell dealing the damage, not you. Also, you would still take fatigue damage because this shuffles in the extra copies AFTER you draw a card meaning that you can't infinitely chain blood. You actually WOULD heal for 3 health after taking damage for every blood if you had Hallazeal the Ascended on board.

I hope this was helpful <3

     1. Siphon Life doesn't have Lifesteal, it deals no damage. It simply restores 3 health.

    2. OP meant that Gul'dan's Hero Power, which has lifesteal would counter the 3 damage you would take from this, and it would get reshuffled into an empty deck, thereby stopping fatigue damage.

    3. That in fact wouldn't work, because each corrupted Blood would draw the next one in a deck with no other cards, meaning you would take a lot more than 3 damage eventually.
