I don't understand why people are complaining about the stats, it could be a 8/1 and it wouldn't change the card significantly. It is a card you play for the ability, the creature is just there to justify the mana cost.
Indeed! I would play it even if the stats were worses
Eh... trolling much? Stats matter as much or more than the effect itself. Take a look around at other cards. Loatheb is a solid 5-drop because of his stats, and can easily be played even if your opponent has 0 spells in his deck. Antique Healbot is played over Healing Touch because even a slight tempo-gain is better than 0 tempo. Rend Blackhand, Hemet Nesingwary is in the other end. Bad stats do matter, a LOT! This card is probably going to fail, unless he gets major inspire-help... like inspire- kill an enemy minion or smth...
I think even simple cards like River Crocolisk (just not a beast obviously) that are like a 2/5, would really help the game slow down. Nothing fancy or sparkly, but just a big 2 drop that can trade with a couple face-tard meanies would be great.
You remember all the outcry about power creeping after GvG was released? Let's not give those people an actually valid reason to complain..
Whenever warriors are popular, freeze mage is almost useless. Both patron and control are common now... Handlock is favoured vs patrons, and thrive whenever TBK is out of the meta, which it isthe case now. 1x bgh is only enough for 1 giant...
Is it worth spending dust now or hold on for new expansion? ;)
I honestly think gold is much more valuable than dust if you want to save up for new expansions. Packs of new expansion>dust to craft cards from new expansion + you never know if they launch an adventure anyway.
1st world crafting question. After not really using my latest "sensible" crafts, like 2nd Big Game Hunter and Snake Trap I went back to crafting golden cards. My golden Flamewakers look really cool, and not many have them, so I am pretty happy about those.
However, after getting a little dust, I have some doubts. Alternatives:
2 x golden Piloted Shredder, because I use them in a lot of decks, and spawn golden 2-drops
Some nieche legendary or epic that I probably won't use like Prophet Velen, Edwin VanCleef 2nd Hobgoblin or Hogger. Do you guys all complete your collections before you start crafting golden stuff?
Not played in NA and Asia much, but EU fr rank 5 and up is pretty cutthroat! Good players and everybody chose decks to WIN (looking at you, demonzoo and hybrid hunter....)
mechmage is so pre BRM tempo mage is the thing right now, mech mage is like face hunter they were scary back then now they are quite dead.
Yes, BRM changed a lot, especially introducing grim patron warrior and Imp Gang Boss making zoo an unfavourable matchup for mech mage now. After playing around with different decks, I find both tempo mage and aggro-mage with Mirror Image is better.
Really? There are many ways to enjoy this game. Playing face hunter is nice when you don't want to think to much, and just want quick games. However, you will not win as much as with other decks.
A friend of mine had a natural tendency to go to face in hearthstone. I introduced him to face-hunter, and it was perfect for him, and he started to climb the ranks. What is wrong with that.
I would like a spell that made Fatigue heal you and then laugh hysterically as they try to defeat me but i heal any damage taken (I know this could never happen but it would still be hilarious)
I think demon-zoo is way superior to face-hunter in this meta, and it is a deck that you can tweak and tech a lot to counter pretty much everything. I believe they are about equally expensive, with Leeroy Jenkins being good in hunter, and Mal'Ganis being pretty standard in demonlock. Here you have 2 versions for a starting point!
I had an aggropally concede to my Handlock at turn 4... yup, that is right, ranked game at rank 4. I did mulligan for it though. The trick is to empty your hand as quickly as possible and mulligan for dark bomb, mortal coil, owl, sunfury and ancient watcher. Divine favor will own you otherwise.
There are fine lines of decsions in the first turns as handlock. If you are not under too much preasure, tap, even vs aggro.
I run a similar deck, but Rag for ET, 1xHF-2x SF and Chow in for Siphon Soul, which helps a lot vs aggro. It is pretty teched vs demonlock, which is very popular. I have won 2 gamed by Sylvanas+SF to steal their mal'ganis and clear board.

Its bad, I DEd with no regrets. But I would keep and fool around with it until tGT is out. You will probably want the dust then.

This + Velen + Auchenai = 8 damage heropower! Faceless Velen, and you have 16 damage!
Not going to happen very often, but the potential is there with emperor and other inspire cards.
Sorry to bring this up, but announcement date+name of this card rings a very bad bell for me...

I have the same problem, unfortunately, I think the only deck that truely destroy midrange hunter is face hunter...
If you tech your deck to have answers for the 2 highmanes and dr. Boom you have a good start.

Anyone enjoying Edwin VanCleef these days? Neptulon and Foe Reaper 4000 other plausible alternatives.

So... is Edwin VanCleef worth crafting or is he not? He seems to be cut from all the best rogue decks now...

This card is even more weird I think, so it is a posibility! Players can have negative HP with that on the board...

Cancer or cancer?
