They said they considered Ice Block a few months ago after the nerfs then.

Considering Mage has zero life gaining I needs it
Ice Barrier x2  is basically a 16hp gain.

For 2 cards and 6 mana, only on your hero (Healing Touch). Not to mention, only attacks proc it, and secret counters exist...
It is an extremely shitty card, but fits in freeze-mage.

I wish someone had had the common sense to address flame waker at an earlier point. There's no point now because BRM will cycle out but it just ruins games. Flame Waker turns a respectable archetype - Tempo Mage - into cancer.

Yeah, ppl were rocking Kobold Geomancer like a boss before Flamewanker hit.
Tempo mage was a thing back then...
The term tempomage was born with BRM. There have been several attempts at "minion based mages" and "deathrattle" mages, even "secret" mages with Kirin Tor Mage, but they were all tier 4 at best, that is not "a thing", and it certainly wasn't called tempomage.
Tempo-mage was a hard counter to combo-druid, which was tier 1 at that point, and was the first time a Mana Wyrm+Sorcerer's Apprentice+Azure Drake deck was really competetive. Mech mage is something else entirely.
Flamewaker IS tempo mage. Remember minions like Harvest Golem was used in it's place...

You eventually need to win, so some obvious ones:

    Backstab

    Deadly Poison

    si-7 agent

    asasinate

    Shadow Strike

    Preparation (reno/yogg deck, right)

    Do you have Captain Greenskin?

     1. I don't own SI-7, Preparation or Captain Greenskin
    2. Please do not suggest more than one card at once, i want other people to have a chance in suggesting a card. If you suggest a second card after like 10 hours then thats fine, but not like this.
TL;DR Im gonna ignore this for now, and you can either edit this to have just one card or make a new post with only 1 card.
Did it after the bump and another double suggestion.
Just wanted to help you out if the "deckbuilding" got slow. Gl hf.

posted a message on Is playing a control deck actually a hard task?

I think combo-decks (most rogues, freeze mage, patron warrior) are generally the most difficult, as you have to make a lot of decicions to use a card in a big combo later or tempo/removal now. Every one of those matter, and every matchup is different.

Control mirrors are also skill intensive, especially old handlock and control-warrior ones. The better player should have the upper hand in those.

Idk if aggro is easy, there are important trade/non trade-choices to be made, aoe-to be played around and draw-chances/damage to be calculated.

The easiest is probably tempo vs control when control draws badly, just play curve and run them over...

to be honest yogg saron thing from below and Tuskarr totemic was 100x more Overpowered and broken than for example Dr Boom.

Mysterious challenger plays 5 secrets for free. Yogg plays  10-25 spells for free

Yes, but as far as meta-impact, the Wild MC is the most extreme tempo-play in the game, and it is usually part of a curve, draining resources for dr. Boom and Tirion folowing him up. Turn 6 vs turn 10 cant be compared, as many games are over before turn 10.
Shaman has not had a top wild-deck yet. Overload is punished too hard by wild on-curve plays. In standard, though, maybe you are right!

posted a message on What's the ULTIMATE anti midrange shaman deck?

Aggo freeze mage is pretty good. Take a torch- freeze mage, take out everything that cost 5+ and ice barriers, add tempo-mage early-game minions.

Go face ... use novas and ice blocks to buy time to draw lethal.

Quite a few control warriors around, though, that matchup is close to impossible for the deck...

When Big Game Hunter started to show up in zoo as well as every warror, paladin, druid and slower warlock decks, it was time to make a move. Having a 6-10 being better than a 15-15 because of bgh-weakness was simply silly. It was not just for dr. Boom, but for every future and present 7+ attack minion. I am pissed he took Molten Giant with him, though, as he was the only card really punishing going face too much.

Entomb, Emperor and the cancer shaman cards will be gone so no matter what I'm happy. I'm also glad Peddler will disappear.

Shaman will probably still be strong, Spirit Claws, Maelstrom Portal and Thing from Below are still in along with the evolve bs and a decent classic set.
But 2 big expansions will change a lot!

maybe but only maybe they will understand why wc3 and the first starcraft are still amazing games compared to HS or any other title they have released lately. it is the game design and BALANCE that makes a good game.

right now the game consists of 1 deck, midrange shamen. all other decks are redundant

WC3 tried to be too many things at once, the hero-level concept kept stepping on the basebuilding/eco concept, and upkeep was a frustrating way to keep it together.
The moba-genre fixed that, though, and if Blizzard had been awake to see the potetial of the DotA-mod, things might have looked very differently in the E-sports world.

Well, when everybody put the imba-cards in their decks, what is the problem? Strong neutral cards actually make the classes more balanced. Class powerhouses like Blood To Ichor and Thing from Below are the problem in standard, but in Wild, they are barely visible because of the strong neutrals.

    Quote from Frostraven >>
    Quote from Goliathar1 >>

People that are overly apprehensive and butt hurt are NOT the target player audience. Sorry it's "too expensive" for you. Maybe write a letter to blizz asking for golden legendaries for free for you with no risk?

Better existing offers: Buying packs with gold.
    Arena.
    Ladder play.

Working overtime for 1 hour to spend on Arena or packs.

WHY pay for this LIMITED TIME Heroic Brawl when better options exists..?

It's limited time, dammit, replacing the mode everyone gets 1 free pack from each week:
If the mode's total rewards for 1000 Players was "gold in + 100 000" that'd be the normal Brawl loss.
    They're doing the opposite:
    1000 Players -->  1 000 000  in
700 000 gold worth of rewards out.
Blizzard "earns" 300 000 gold. Which only serves to reduce players gold amounts; less goods for players.
A normal Brawl is more profitable for most players than this:
1000 Players --> No gold in
100 000 gold worth if rewards out.
Blizzard loses 100 000 gold. But players only earn personal in-game goods, which benefits Blizzard.
     This.
The concept is just fine, and most people agree about it.
The buy-in/reward relation is NOT fine. I have almost 3k gold, and if the payout was close to arena-level and the buy-in lower, sure, why not throw some gold im there and see if I can accomplish something.
As is, though, a nasty gold-sink to make people buy more packs with real money from the next expansion.
Also, a LOT of players will lose their brawl-free-pack this week!

i use casual for testing and laddering in both

14 in standard. 15 in wild.

midrange hunter is extremely effective in wild. especially against the non reno decks.

im building secret paladin for a bit of fun but saving most of my dust for the expansion

No, the cotw nerf hit midrange hunter extremely hard in wild. I used to get to rank 5 easily with my version of it, but my deck did not seem viable above rank 14. Swich up, rank 8 in no time (alredy got 5 in standard.)
Also, I am not quite sure how much slower the wild meta is. In my experience, wild-games are more likely to end before turn 10 because of very powerful curve plays like Piloted Shredder, Loatheb (deeply missed in standard, all those spells!) and Dr. Boom. Together, they can more easily transition from an early advantage to lethal.
The true aggro-decks are rare, but generally, the games usually end faster.

Wait until you get into the Shaman/Warrior/Druid ranks. I think this deck will be eaten alive...

To put it another way though.  if I get my numbers right, for every 5 people who enter the brawl, 1 person will get that 12th win prize.
That Looks pretty much. That means in General every Person has a 20% chance of getting 12 wins. I can't imagine that, to be honest. Then it wouldn't be bad at all.
If they actually match equal win ratio Players together, 1 Person out of 4096 should get a 12-0 (all others will have lost at least one time). But I couldn't be bothered to calculate all the other People who will end up with 12 wins. According to you, it should be 800+x. That's a lot of dust People will gain.
Someone else did, and it is around 0,6% or 6 out of 1000. Pretty damn low.
