Blizzard isn't making any money from this because GOLD HAS 0 CASH VALUE. THE ONLY MONEY BLIZZARD WILL MAKE IS FROM THE $10 SOME PEOPLE WILL SPEND. THEY ARE NOT TAKING YOUR GOLD AT ALL, ITS AN IN GAME CURRENCY THAT YOU CANT EVEN PURCHASE. IT HAS 0 VALUE!

No, you can buy packs and do arena-runs with both "currencies", and many do. If you waste your gold on this=probably spending more $ on packs from the next expansion.

I honestly can't believe the amount of butthurt going on about this Heroic Brawl. All it is is a buy in tournament with packs/dust/golden legendaries as prizes. This is no different than what my local board game shop does every month when they have Magic the Gathering, Android Netrunner or other such tournaments and offer up cards, packs and other games as prizes. The participation fee is usually about 5-10 bucks and nobody goes around bitching about it afterwards. Seriously, what is wrong with some of you?

People aren't bitching about the format, they're bitching about the reward levels. Format is great. Problem is 30% of the prize pool ends up in the pockets of the house, for no apparent reason as this is not the case in neither the shop nor the arena. While not theft, it is a scam. There is absolutely no justified reason for that 30% profit and that reason alone will make players who knows about this reluctant to enter. Roughly 1/10 runs will gain, 9/10 will lose.
     Yup!
The rewards should be HIGHER than buying the packs with gold, and the 12-wins reward seem out of control, no need to make it that much.
1 pack for 0 wins? Should be at least 3 and a golden card or smth. Go freeze mage to counter shamans and line up vs 3 warriors, sooo many people are going to spend their most wasted 1000 gold ever. I hope they take a lesson before the next one! 70% is a total ripoff. STAY AWAY!

    Quote from marin_bar >>

I mostly play wild (65-35 % rate) and I can use it in any N'zoth deck. Only thing is I must DE King Krush, but I rarely play him at all...

Dr. Boom all day, then. He fits in  all Wild midrange and tempo decks and most control. The alternatives for the 7-slot are simply not nearly at his level, and they probably won't ever print a neutral competitor.
Malygos is not nearly as useful in Wild. The wild midgame is simply too powerful to keep up with for maly-decks, and Loatheb does exist...
Don't worry, you will get the Master of Magic eventually!

Nice idea but what about the x languages hearthstone is in? The same deck would work differently country by country? I already see people playing in ultra foreign languages only for card order:D

This! There should be more "manipulate deck" cards, though! Like a 3-drop that puts a 4-drop on top of your deck. Jeweled Scarab and Dark Peddler and the discover-mechanic in general is on that track, but if it instead manipulate cards from your deck, it would reward good deckbuilding. Ancient Harbinger is simply too weak to be played.

Since Spirit Claws, he is in his best spot since before Nax. Once again, he is a staple in the very best shaman and druid decks, as well as his usual rogue and mage appearences.

posted a message on Why People Don't Give Up Yogg?

I saw him once since the nerf, and I lost the game because of him.

He does still win games from time to time, but one major difference is that having him cast a very large number of spells is not worth it anymore. With 5-10, he can still do good work.

I seriously hope he is not viable, though, I dusted mine, and he is one of the most stupid cards ever designed, right up ther with prenerf  https://goo.gl/images/WVUWFa

posted a message on Should I invest in Wild Secret paladin?

It is what, 1600 dust if you have Boom, Loatheb and Tirion, if you should if you are serious about playing wild.

MCs, Minibots, Shredders, avenge, Belchers, Mustard, spiders.

It is a disgustingly effective deck still, and new versions and tech emerge all the time! However, the deck does beat itself more often than you think due to drawing too many secrets early and not finding powerplays (MC/Boom) in time.

That 1 attack is actually a pretty big deal, it is no longer a threat, can't trade vs shit and is out as a turn 1 play. Will he be out of the meta?

This card is 2 mana though..
the difference between 1 and 2 mana is huge.. if they really wanted to delete this card from the game they would make it a 2 mana card..
about Leper Gnome the deathrattle wasn't that significant as the battle cry of this minion the 2 dmg to face on DR isn't worth the playing the 1/1 they thing is that if leper gnome is played on turn 1 vs let's say a rogue or paladin and they used a weapon (coin muster for battle on paladin) to kill a leper gnome which attacked once.. the leper gnome did 6 dmg alone.. now it deals 3 with the same answers..
the abusive was 99% of the time played for the battle cry the stats barely matter.. it does weaken the card but it doesn't kill it.
I doubt it. Lance carrier already replaced abusive in some lists for its permanent attack, very nice on devine shield minions and dudes with high health like councilman.
A 1-1 on the board is no threat at all, so leaving it up and saving that Fan of Knives for more value is easily worth it now.
Yes, it is played for the battlecry, but how it trades and threatens as a minion does matter as well... a lot!

posted a message on What happened to hearthstone?
    Quote from fata1attack >>

First of, I reach legend each season I play hearthstone and I think it's fair to say I know the fundamentals of hearthstone.
I've been searching the entire last season for a fun control deck that works in this meta. There seems to be none...
Did anyone reach legend with a control deck last season?
I played secret hunter for a few games and ranked really fast, but I had 0 fun. These aggressive decks require so little skill ... and are mostly decided by card draw and random effects.

It's also funny how midrange decks are now called control decks.
Control decks to me are for example: anyfin palladin, control priest, freeze mage, ...

The main goal of this post is for someone to help me find a genuine control deck that works in this meta.  Otherwise, I don't see the point of playing hearthstone anymore :(

    Thanks

Anyfin paladin and freeze mage are NOT control deck, but rather combo-decks. They cycle like crazy to get their insane turns off, pretty much in the same way as otk warrior.
But yes, there are not many true control-decks in the meta atm. The nerfs might change things up, though, with hunter being a very tough matchup for control warrior for example.

Who voted that they hated the nerf?? I hope they though that it was a poll about if they hated the card

I voted i hated the nerf, And; although i agree yogg cansometimes swing matches rather 'unfairly' or in an unprepared manner, i hate the way they 'fixed' his problem. I advocated for a change that would rather make it so he can't summon tokens that creates these flips, or other presence. I.E the removal of Mirror Entity, Bear Trap, COTW, Stand Against the Darkness, etcetera from his card pool.
Sounds like a very clean, intuitive and obvious design! And every expansion, new cards will be added to the list!
This way, the card-text does not even need to be changed. I think it was counterintuitive that he would keep spamming spells long after dying.

    Quote from Alexu9696 >>

Yeah his unplayable now and so is Doomhammer.

Its better to use stormcrack now and just run the togg package because ferrals will remplace tuskar totemic for sure.

In Aggro you will still use rockbiter but you will now cut Tuskar for 1 more horserider and ancestral knowledge , then lava shock or eternal sentinel... instead of thing from below, basically Ants version of Aggro Shaman who is more of all in.

I never got why people talk about "replacing" with cards that are already staples (wolves, ligtning bolt.)
Ancestral knowledge and the overload removers will make a big comeback though, as they were cut when the true OPness of the wotog cards were discovered. Shaman will still be viable, but not cancer.
