I can't wait to see people's reaction when they remove a card from their opponent's deck that is of no import and then actually helps them draw into a card that can turn the game around.

This is potentially worse than River Crocolisk

Edited: As if River Crocodile is a card....

I don't think the people who think this card is good would understand what happened in that situation lol.
Which is sad. I think a more objective approach would help us better our gameplay. In a game with elements of randomness, probability is everything. Wishing something is good doesn't make it so. For every Archmage Antonidas this card removes from an Exodia mage deck, one can reasonably expect that it is equally likely to remove a Frothing Berserker from a Pirate Warrior, which literally does nothing. Worse, you just smoothed your opponent's draw if Frothing Berserker is a dead draw in this matchup.
And to be honest, even Exodia mage won't crumble just because Archmage 'Tony is gone. It will be significantly more difficult, but still capable to win.

This whole thread just goes to show that how people still have no idea about a very basic idea that must be answered in every game: Who's the beatdown.

I suggest everyone to go read this article and this extended read to understand some basic principle before any meaningful discussions can be made.

Why do you always seem to be angry when posting? What's going on my dear Maximus? Are you not entertained? Relax, your friend Commodus is here. :)
Hello Sherman, long time no see! It's good to see that someone is picking up the Gladiator as well.
To be Honest, I am not angry. Well, not this time, at least. I merely thought that we can have more meaningful discussions if we can all have a better understanding on how card games work. Do read those 2 articles. They are goodread and is well worth the time.
Edited: BTW, I do miss your Ramsay Bolton avatar.

It's one of the most balanced mechanics in Hearthstone. You should know that Archmage Antonidas is one of the mid-range mage win condition. When mage is stalling the game, you should expect that it will push burst damage combo at some point.

If you play a faster deck, then you should be more aggresive, because time is not on your side. When you are playing a control deck in a correct way, then you will have resources to deal with Antonidas right after it's dropped, and surviving two or three turns of fireballs won't be hard, or you will defeat your enemy earlier.

I've lost many games to Antonidas mage, but I've never complain. Other player was just better in using it's resources. I've also liked to play Antonidas in a mage, because it's not an easy win condition. You must work whole game to get to turn 9-10 and get immediate value from Antonidas, since he will be killed instantly.

Er... no. Not in this case.
Not even Jade Druid or any existing control decks have the inevitability Exodia Mage provides. No just fast decks, but control decks will also need to switch to aggressive attacking and win before the Exodia mage goes off. The archmage won't be on the field unless the Exodia mage is ready to go. And once the Archmage is on the field, you won't get a turn to kill it.
I suspect that the OP also made the mistake of thinking he/she is the control deck in this matchup, but in fact is the aggro deck.

    What's with the 39+% of meta-defining poll?

Anyway, I don't see why people should feel bad about being milled a card. It is a fundamental concept that a card milled is just the same as a card on the bottom you will never draw. Of course if your deck is like Exodia mage then that may have been a bit different, but overall I don't see why people should be upset.

And.... who would really use this card, like, for real?

This card actually helps quest mage quite a bit, all you have to do is use this to copy apprentice BEFORE you actually go for the combo, meaning you dont need to go through your entire deck to get all the combo pieces, you can copy the apprentices to make it faster and more consistent.

I don't see how this would make it faster, you still have two draw two apprentices, antonidas, and two of this/ molten reflection. Sure you can start preparing for the combo using your extra mana in the turns before (assuming you don't have doomsayers/arcanologists) but you still need to draw the same amount of cards
With this card you only need to draw 4 of your 5 combo pieces (and complete the quest obviously).
You need either: 1x apprentice, 2x Molten Reflection and Antonio. Copy the one apprentice BEFORE THE COMBO TURN, then pull off the combo as usual (play 2 apprentice, cast MR for 2 mana, then 2nd MR for 1 mana plus time warp for 1 mana = 8 mana)
Or: 2x apprentices, 1x Molten Reflection and Antonio. Copy an apprentice BEFORE THE COMBO TURN, then play all three apprentices and use molten reflection for 1 mana plus time warp for 1 mana = 8 mana)
Simulacrum acts as a 3rd apprentice, thats how it helps the quest. If you're desperate you can even use it to copy a doomsayer for more stalling if needed, this card was custom made for quest mage really. Only needs careful setup, but thats what makes it fun.
     This.
Redundancy is exactly what Exodia mage needs right now. With multiple ways of going to combo, it adds consistency and allows combo pieces to be used for survival in desperate situation. I for one can't wait to play with this card.

posted a message on What do you feel when your opponent emotes Thanks after they win?

Hm... "Thank you" is now a BM?

Maybe I have really been away for too long, but I usually say "Thank you" no matter if I win or lose the game. It is simply a replacement for the handshake after card games IRL.

Perhaps I should stop doing this or something?

posted a message on POLL: Will you Pre-Order Whispers of the Old Gods?

    Just no.

I kinda lost interesting in the game waiting for this Standard mode they've been hyping for a while. And the more time I have thinking, the more skeptical I am towards the results. I've pre-ordered every single expansions/adventures, but not this time. I will see how standard plays out, and decide if I will be making a purchase.

FYI. I stopped playing Hearthstone for now. Gotta save New York City!
