Dude a card is like the 2 of clubs, boring. This card game is a game first and for me thats about fun.
Imagine this whole game with no theme, no sound, no wow images. You play 2 of clubs and I go off and play a better game. Thats all.
Dr. Boom makes this game much more boring. The powerful highlight of some random guys deck is what? Dr. Boom. If this guys's other cards are all beast or beast synergy then wouldn't you hope that the highlight would be... I don't know... King Krush, Gahz'rilla or something in theme? Something that you can't just predict as being part of your opponent's deck before your opponent has even been chosen.
43.40% of all decks. I'll go up against some hunter deck, all beasts and this guy. Then some warlock deck all demons and this guy .... etc etc etc...
He's destroying the theme. Fighting him in every game is dull for me and speaking as a player who does not have Dr. Boom it's starting to feel like a pay to win game.
What can I do? Craft Dr. Boom and join the others? I would need to disenchant 30 packs of cards, that about $40 for this one card. Ok and if I do this what would I get for my money...? A guaranteed win? No only a 50/50 win because everyone else also has Dr. Boom. A fun game? No you get a game were you see Dr. Boom every game on both sides. So quit? No you just payed $40 to play this game.
In foresight of all this I'm not going to be paying the $40. Thanks.
Like all cards, this card is not going to work in every deck. In a deck set up for it, it's good :) Running death rattle and/or imps the cost of losing a minion can be almost nothing.
Deadly Shot Benefit: destroy minion Cost: card - 3 mana
Void Crusher Benefit: destroy minion + your minion Cost: card - 6 - 2 - your minion
You can look at this more than one way. Maybe you wanted to use your hero power anyway. If this is the case then you can look at it as a cost of 3 extra mana with the chance of greatly upgrading an imp to a Void Crusher.
The real advantage of this card is that (uplike Deadly Shot, Assassinate or whatever) the Crusher stays in play. Your opponent must now do something about the Crusher or it repeats. In one game my opponent just passed turns doing nothing. I think they had some big legendary they did not want in play. So the Crusher can be like a stalling tactic, you don't actually need to use it's ability.
I just thought I was real lucky. I only have 1 Void Crusher and I have not used him a billion times yet but still... he has never killed himself when he had other options.
Later Edit: It can not be cast if your opponent has less then 2 minions.
It looks good on paper but all too often your opponent will have nothing in play and then drop one big card, maybe Ironbark Protector or whatever, and Dark Bargain is useless here.

A great turn 1 counter to Argent Squire : )

Mana Addict
Worked for me. I'm missing a lot of cards in that list.

Looking at the recent Abios Grand Tournament (2015/10/02), the top 8 players, 3 decks each.
Num* is the number of players that uses this deck (out of 8).
Dr.B* is the number of decks that Dr.Boom appears in.
Num* Dr.B*
8x Druid Ramp 7
4x Patrons
4x SecretPaladin 1
3x Demon HandLock 3
2x DragonPriest
1x Mage Tempo 1
1x Oil
1x Shaman Totem
If these players know what they are doing then Dr.Boom is really only for Druid Ramp and Demon HandLock decks.

Same here!
I just thought I was real lucky. I only have 1 Void Crusher and I have not used him a billion times yet but still... he has never killed himself when he had other options.
Is it not the same for all of you?

original post: With Tiny Knight of Evil and Fist of Jaraxxus maybe?

I only just got this card and I don't know if there has been a recent change or something but all I get is really great demons all the time! :)
I have tested this maybe 6 or 7 times.
I had Lord Jaraxxus twice, Illidan Stormrage, Fearsome Doomguard 2 or 3 times and nothing below 4 cost.
Still no Mal'Ganis tho. I'll keep trying.

Floating Watcher.
I can't see anyone mentioning it here. Both this card and Flame Imp are for supporting the watcher.
...or (when I can) I use it with Mal'Ganis for a trade doing 0 damage to me.
The card is OK.
