Bruh... They have 1000+ card to take note off than doesn't even include the cards from the future sets. They have said it before there were at least 400+ cards designed and prototyped before choosing the ones for released. So, if you use your brain for a moment and ponder about that.... Then ya, they can miss this interaction. What's your response to that then?

That they stop spamming so many keywords on one card expecting it to not be a problem?

Didn't go well for UI don't see why it would go well for a cheap spamming magnetizing mech. Should be a no brainer that they more you put on any card the more problematic said card will be.

    not in wild

Regardless the card's design may also lead to Mechwarper getting nerfed in wild. The reddit post even referenced it, despite Mechwarper not being a problematic card in wild whatsoever.

If you have to nerf multiple cards in older sets just to release one new card chances are very high that your new card is a badly designed one.

I'm sure an extremely cheap 2 mana mech with magnetize is not design limiting by its own right at all.

Better make sure start nerfing old cards to accommodate the new mech and hope that the mech itself doesn't get nerfed in the future anyway (thus making the old card nerfs pointless).

Sad that cards that aren't causing problems are getting nerfed simply because T5 doesn't do a very small tweak to the card so that it doesn't go crazy.

...before it may potentially be made unplayable. The deck is memey as all get out, but since vanilla HS it has been my favorite deck. Anyway, I hope the deck doesn't get nerfed because of idiotic abuse of Sn1p Sn4p, but if you want some wild memes enjoy it while you can. :)

For those wondering why I worry the deck could potentially be killed here is the reddit link referencing the possible Mechwarper nerf - https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/bsknod/upcoming_reckless_experimenter_card_change/ -  (Reckless Experimenter was already nerfed in preparation for releasing Sn1p Sn4p

Can't wait to possibly have my Spectral Pillager Rogue OTK (which is not problematic at all in wild) to potentially be killed due to them nerfing Mechwarper if the dumb new mech in town happens to get abused upon released.

But hey better to nerf old cards that haven't caused issues in the game just to create and release a new card that may cause issues down the line.

    Quote from Dallaen >>

It's funny that people come to casual because they are afraid to lose stars when in actuality ladder doesn't mean anything anymore. I guess people don;t realize they don't use terrible ladder system like they used to. All they have to do to fix it a little is remove wins from casual.

Personally I've already hit legend so I could hardly care about laddering up consistently anymore. That being said, it isn't just to say that a person might be avoiding ladder due to losing, but if you take non-optimized decks and lose a ton you wasted time in real life. Yes, yes this is a video game and that is what we're all doing, but I think it is safe to say that in general people like to have felt they put that extra time to good use. If you waste all of that time and lose ranking for absolutely no reason then you might as well have done something else for that chunk of time (like spend time with your children/family, hang out with friends, play another game, go outside, go out and get something to eat, exercise, etc). So if I hadn't already hit legend I think I'd take ladder time a little more optimized so that I can finish my grind sooner and have extra time to do something else. The game is fun, but the grind is not.

As for removing win gold gain from casual I think that is silly and just punishes casual players who buy with gold just so that some other casual players don't have to deal with as many tier gold farmers. It would be like WoW removing gear upgrades from dungeons and lfr because other casual players want the fun/challenge of playing those dungeons without running with boosted gear party members.

    Quote from Pacific_Onion >>

Sometimes in these hour long Warrior games I have to take a pee really bad, so I do my actions for the turn and leave without pressing end turn to make sure I have as much time as possible to get back. I hate to do it, but it's better than pissing my pants or missing a turn.

    LOL I've done that before

When you obviously intentionally BM me I will rope you. Usually if I'm playing HS I have the time to kill anyway so I could care less if I'm in for the long haul (Plus I am also an Ice Cream Shaman player, that should tell you something ;) )

posted a message on Literally nobody uses original decks whether it's casual or ranked (If any, it's like less than 5%)

This happens with all card games. Like others have already said though why would you play less optimized decks in formats where you are either trying to hit a rank bench mark quickly, hit legend for the first time, or get in the top 100 of legend to try to accumulate legend points to qualify for things like HCTs?

As for casual I know I play fairly original decks, but even then you can only get so original before you start playing something that is very similar to somebody else's original idea. An original idea is only unique the very first time a single person makes it. After that your originality only comes in the form of how you adapt another person's invention.

As long as the supreme core goal of the game is winning, Casual will just stay an Unranked competitive mode.

They should introduce moderate gold/dust rewards for Class Levels, and shut down once and for all the silly 10g per 3 wins from Casual. Keep that in Ranked only.

Then, newbies would still have a favourable resource curve, to be pursued in Casual, and Casual would not be a place for farming for veterans, because the usual gold farming for them would be in Ranked only...

Eh, I don't think that should be the way to go. I've already hit my one-and-done legend rank. Aside from minimal motivation to go for the golden epic ladder is fairly pointless for me now. Most of my games are meme matches against people in casual. While I do advocate for facing against tier deck opponents when playing a meme deck (it makes you a better player and assists with fine tuning your meme deck) I don't always want to face the most fine tuned net decks while playing some meme casual matches for gold. Only awarding gold in ranked would punish players like myself who get a little gold towards free cards on the side while meming on the opponent.

They should reduce the cost of other spells. Thistle tea was made 6 Mana only because of preparation.

I honestly feel this was one contributing factor for buffs finally being released into the game, and that this first wave of completely random buffed cards are an experiment towards buffing older rogue spells (among other cards in general).

T5 has said multiple times pre-Prep nerf that all rogue spells have been designed with prep in mind. It would be incredibly naive for any of us to even say that they aren't aware that by nerfing prep you nerf every single spell rogue has been given up to this point.

I'm already calling that rogue spell buffs are already being planned on the table (mostly coming in the form of mana reductions, just like all of these boomsday cards received).

posted a message on Short thought on the Rogue "destructive" nerfs.

I feel that T5 acts inconsistently between the classes.

They say they always had to keep in mind rogue spells due to Prep and that it stifled design.

However, when you look at other classes having powerful tools that already existed for a different class it did not prevent T5 from giving them more strong tools for that same class (An absolutely perfect example was when warlocks got Godfrey when they already very recently had Defile. Having Defile in the class toolkit should have been design limiting for the class to not get Godfrey in the same standard meta. Yep, no chance). Another example was giving priest Mass Hysteria when they already had Psychic Scream.

T5 is horrible when it comes to proper design for the rogue class. They use excuses to say the class should not get something because of Prep or some other card, but when it comes to other classes they usually fall flat on their face by not taking into strong consideration when giving other classes new tools.

i still dont get that they didnt nerf conjuers calling or whatever its called... mage is now so broken

You can't nerf something into the ground and not be expected to reap the aftermath of post nerf metas.

Should be a good mini make up call / nod back to what happened during the Jade Druid meta.

Nerf Jade Druid to get Razakus priest then Tempo Rogue. This community never ends complaining about a deck. You instantly get a nerf that is live and immediately find something else to complain about. It's disgusting really.

sorry but this is not a card game with counter-spells (not talking about the mage secret). Dont expect for people stop checking the combo decks as problems when the combo enabler is too easy to cast into an almost imposible situation. Right now mage can put 4 absurly state minions on board when standard decks cant dealt with big board. Conjurer is not the only card (the one that summon two 6 cost minions can hit the 5/12 but is the fastest spells to do it so...you really wish that card remains untouched all season?.

You have 2 cards that work in the same way but the one that cost more cant be use as ward removal and can only get you minion of one cost. If dev team designed Power of Creation with 8 mana in mind there is not reason for keeping Conjurers Calling on 3. Both cards have the same board impact and the second one is also better...

Sorry I believe in making class design better by making it so that the holes in how the various classes can deal with tough situations can get changed with new innovations in new expansions. Nerfing cards is not just a bandaid fix, but it keeps class answers in their flawed state.

For example, if warlock can't deal with a large statted minion in the mid game then design something new that opens up that avenue for the class. A rogue can't play a late control archtype because they have no big value engines or threats? Design something that makes it so that current attempts at control rogue are more successful late game? Druid or hunter can't deal with multiple large minions or wide boards? Add new innovations to the classes that transform their tools so that they don't play and are weak against the same types of situations in their weak match-ups.

Nerfs look at the short term value of the game honestly and makes it so that T5 has no reason to innovate the classes so that they aren't weak to the same strategies. After all if you nerf what [insert class here] is weak against then they don't need to give them new tools that make them better at what the class is horrible at or pigeonholed into. Not nerfing something right away makes it so that the ball is in T5's court and pressure them to make the classes better and actually change them over time. That is talking about health for the game in the long term.

posted a message on Odd paladin or PIrate warrior

Odd Paladin took my Reno Dragon Priest well into the late game, generating value and dealing almost 60 damage to my face over the course of the entire game before I finally managed to clutch out a win to legend.

Pirate Warrior? I consistently stomp them with my memey 9 card Spectral Pillager rogue OTK deck just be abandoning the combo and throw millions of copied heals and taunts on the board.

I think that says volumes about how serious the one deck is compared to the other in modern wild HS.
