posted a message on An unexpected effect of the new Brawl: meta is solidifying
Quote from Deftmove >>I think the Brawl will have been a positive experience if Blizzard learns anything from it, hopefully they'll nerf Alexstraza, Iceblock, N'zoth and Patches the Pirate so games suck less.

You just provided two direct counters to things like N'Zoth and you want Blizzard to nerf it?

posted a message on Wild Players - Isn't pirate warrior still the most popular deck?

At least from rank 20-10 I run into way more Egg Druids than Pirate Warriors tbh.

posted a message on Is Hearthstone Pay to Win?

Most of the metas we have had with every expansion have had very strong aggro decks that have dictated large portions, or the entirety, of said metas. All of those meta decks have been extremely cheap to craft (with them all not requiring any legendaries until Patches was released). All of these aggro decks have been efficient at quick ladder climbing (whether simply due to fast games or slightly above average win ratios).

^ How does this suggest the game is p2w?

The problem is when you have players only looking at archtypes, such as control or even midrange, which typically have many epics and/or legendaries required to play those specific control/midrange decks competitively on ladder, and then you hear about players saying HS is p2w, but that is ignoring that aggro is still there in the game as a very cheap and very threatening archtype in and of itself. You can't feasibly say the game is p2w if all you're doing is looking at the poster child for expensive decks/archtypes, while ignoring decks that are cheap and that do well.

posted a message on Gold & dust saving F2P Tips?

Right after the newest expansion/adventure has released, and you've spent your previously saved batch of gold on that content, start immediately saving for the next expansion/adventure. During this time for every 300g you earn save the first 200 and spend only the last 100g of that 300g earned on packs. So for example, I do some quests and earn 300g, I would save the first 200 of that gold to go towards the expansion after Un'Goro and spend the last 100g on a pack. Rinse and repeat until the new expansion/adventure releases.

As far as how to spend that 100g out of every 300g I choose to alternate on more packs from the newest card set and packs from the oldest card set that hasn't been removed from the shop.

I do this for every single expansion/adventure and I have had between 4-5k gold when said expansion/adventure releases, so the process is consistent. The only outlier was Un'Goro, which strangely I had saved up over 6k gold for (though I am assuming part of this was due to a slightly longer expansion release than the other expansion/adventure release windows). As a f2p player following this model of saving & spending gold will at the very worst get you at least 1 guaranteed pity timer legendary (if your roughly 40-50ish packs net you bad pack rng), and 4-5 legendaries at the best if you get really good pack rng.

My strong suggestion is to not vote for the favorites. The fotm picks for the last two "Pick your champion!" events failed hard (Thijs & Pavel) failed hard and netted voters only one pack).

I think it is important to say that everyone should be careful when jumping at the chance to buy tickets from posters on here. Obviously there are many sellers that are legit, but just like with any private online transaction don't always fall for suspicious posts/posters (some of which are posting on this thread).

Take your careful time to get a feel from you who are purchasing from so you don't get scammed. Enjoy the ticket hunt!
