posted a message on What decks/cards are you looking forward to play?

Im probably boring, standard, and too focused on competitive play for saying this, but Im just really looking forward to TGT Control Warrior. Looks like its going to be Tier 1, slow meta and some sick class cards. Im gonna try using the 3/2 taunt guy to pull out hidden minions and also combo with Black Knight, as well as obviously creating my own walls. And then of course Varian Wrynn looks pretty monstrous. I think its gonna be the first time in a long time some of the cards that are considered "core" in CW are going to get swapped out and the lists will be built considerably different

Can I replace the 2x Sword of Justice or does it just suboptimize the deck to the point where I should just play regular midrange ?

I mean, he was just developing the 3/3 wasnt he ? A little more forgivable in this particular deck than the traditional midrange cause this is way more tempo oriented. Playing right into Win Axe is bad tho.. Ok maybe it was a bad play all things considered, but its not like the guy literally "Aldored an Armorsmith", he just developed a 3/3. And it worked out for him anyway, he followed it with coghammer and cleared the armorsmith after a weak turn 3 from the warrior. Thats a little too judgemental of yall I think, I like his videos just to check hearthpwn decks out

Bane of Doom , Demonheart replacement ideas ? Id like to give this a shot for shits and giggles but I have no intentions of crafting those 2 cards.

posted a message on Extra interactions with Lord Jaraxxus

The first logic that comes to mind is that Jaraxxus in hero form isnt a "friendly demon", he's "you". Perhaps the wording itself already specifically prohibits this.

Only using PO and Abusive solely for lethal is extremely dumb advice, holding KJ and Implosion solely for turn 6 combo also dumb. Use whatever you need to use to keep the board, dont hold things just to put combos together, the deck is built synergistically to have these combos available but its definitely bad to stall a play or lose tempo in order to wait for a combo or full value. Tempo > Value

I personally am keeping my double scientist because I run a duplicate over ethereal arcanist, i think that card is pretty trash especially supported by just 2x ice block

Maybe Flamecannon is a better choice tho ? I feel like with this kind of deck you can never have too much removal, you can completely keep almost anyone off the board then win with your big guys

posted a message on Deck with 4 x Patron and 2 x Thaurissan reaches #1 legend in Europe
    Quote from prissou jump

The Belgian pro gamer and broccolli muncher Athene got the #1 legend rank in europe by using 4 x Patrons and 2 x Thaurissans in the same deck.

But I don't think this game is pay to win and Patron is not a broken deck because it is theoretically possible to grind the gold for the adventures and golden cards and do the same for free. Kappa.

What do you guys think about this? Is the Patron warrior working as intented? Is Blizzards dev team oblivious to these facts or do they simply let it slide because their whole business model is based off of instant gratification and people are willing to pay for using shortcuts to get to legend? If you cant beat them, cough up the money and join them?

What are your thoughts on this?

    Here is the deck: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/283882-athene-rank-1-legend-deck

Lmao, what ? Really stupid post dude. If this is real its clearly unintended and being exploited, and will be fixed.

posted a message on SI:7 Agent worth it ?

SI:7 Agent is one of the most badass early game tempo swings in the whole game, and its not a dead draw by any means later on either. Ill try to answer your concerns point by point:

Most minion played in constructed have more than 2 health and/or deathrattle, battlecry that make their death not so important once they are on the board

Killing an enemy minion is important no matter if they already triggered a battlecry or will trigger a deathrattle. You still inevitably must clear the minion if youre playing a board control, value, or tempo game (basically doing anything other than going face). In some situations it very well may be true that its better to ignore the minion for a time until youre ready to answer its deathrattle efficiently (Voidcaller comes to mind), in which case its no big deal to just hold the SI.

As for minions with over 2 health, SI:7 agent is usually cast along with other damage like Backstab or Deadly Poison as opposed to being cast along with another minion. A lot of the time SI's 2 damage will be cleaning up whats left of a higher health minion, and thats fine for rogues who most commonly play for tempo, NOT necessarily value. In most competitive rogue decks it is often correct to forfeit card advantage in favor of tempo. Individual card value just isnt how rogue tends to work.

His mana cost is 3, to activate his ability you would need a coin at turn 2(50% of the time) or a 0 mana cost card at turn 3 ( which is even less than 50% of the time)

Most rogue decks mulligan aggressively for Backstab and SI:7 Agent, like how a warrior will aggressively mulligan for his Fiery War Axe. It turns out you will be able to efficiently combo SI:7 way more often than you may initially think, because rogue decks are built around this type of play with multiple copies of very cheap efficient removal spells.

And playing him out without combo in some situations is correct anyway, and in that instance 3/3 for 3 as a vanilla stat line is just fine. His body being acceptable even if you took away his card text is a huge reason its a good card, if he paid for his effect with poorer stats he wouldnt see any play. Instead you just have to play another card, which is like, yeah youre paying more mana to get the SI:7 off ultimately, but you get to play the other card. The mana doesnt feel bad at all.

His 3/3 body cannot withstand most early remove to make value

Sure, but like you were talking about before when mentioning battlecry/deathrattle minions, once a minion has already done something once it hit the board, its death is indeed devalued. Besides, if your SI:7 eats the enemy Mages frostbolt, thats one less frostbolt that could freeze your weapon on a crucial turn, clear your Piloted Shredder, create lethal, etc. If your SI comes out, does his damage, and costs the opponent a resource to remove him, you're the one whos ahead off of that most of the time.

Hope this helps. It's an excellent card.
