Hey man, I just released my first rough draft of a variation of your concept. As promised here's the link: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/283775-tgt-steady-shot-hunter . I just tried to come at it from a bit of a different angle so we can all have a conversation about this exciting new concept that may very well be the next big hunter deck. I ended up going "all in" with the concept too but I think mine would play really different.
I think this list is very promising in concept, I think you were right when you said "this version is kind of an ALL IN version that includes all the stuff that revolves around hero powering i guess there will be some changes after we can playtest this deck list" though. I think hero power enhancement and emphasizing hero power use more in Midrange might be better for hunter if we just weave it in to the decks a bit more gently than this, could be inconsistent to fully invest in it (without totally changing the shell in to an Inspire deck, and who knows how good thatll be, so far a lot of those cards blow pretty hard)
EDIT: Ive decided to resolve to theorycraft my own version of this concept to show you OP. Ill comment with a link when its ready.
You're wrong, sorry. With spell damage on the board Snipe hits for 5, Ive seen it with my own eyes. Its the only way in the entire game to prevent an Emperor proc. Besides, Why do you think Malygos hunter decks run Snipe too ?
I run a list just like this but with 1x Acidic Swamp Ooze over the Glaivezooka this 1 uses and its been pretty good. I think Harrison is too heavy, my playstyle as a midrange hunter main is fast and aggressive. I used to use Snake Trap in that spot and it was strong but its honestly just a liability now because I have reached rank 2 and all I ever freakin play against is patron warrior. I have yet to try the glaivezooka, Flood can you tell me if you think I should try it over my Ooze even tho Warrior is a frequent MU for me ?
Youve got the legendaries you need to run double combo druid at pretty much full potential, if you can get/have the epics. Harrison, Loatheb, Sylvanas, Emperor, Boom all make the list right now. You dont have Chow but I dont think its that crucial unless your match ups are aggro infested. I personally have been dropping opponents left and right with it and have reached rank 5 from 11 only losing 1 game, and the funny shit is that it was to another druid. Check out Trumps deck teachings for it and assess if its for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVaQiDLp55s
Hey guys. As we all know and talk about quite often, the more this game expands and the larger the total amount of cards becomes, the harder it is for a brand new player to catch up and feel like they have any chance of owning any significant percentage of the existing cards. This is made worse by matchmaking inevitably pitting them against a 11k dust warrior or a 6k dust handlock or whatever, who completely dominates them based almost solely on card quality, no matter if its casual or rank 19 or something. This is a well known dilemma that alienates new players, ive seen it first hand trying to show some of my friends the game. Ive personally been playing since season 1 and have over 90% of the existing cards so I did not foresee this when I tried to put my friends on to Hearthstone, but now it is glaring and quite unfortunate.
I do have a bit of an idea about a fix here and I want to start a discussion. I was thinking that it could be sensible to incrementally expand the set of free, simply obtained cards. That is to say for example, when the next expansion releases, the Classic set fuses with the Basic set and becomes rewarded through leveling classes and winning games. I just think that as we come to have a larger amount of content, the reward mechanisms should proportionately become larger as well. This way, new players are still way behind and need to play a lot and learn in order build their collection which is fun and rewarding and necessary, but JUST way behind, not way way way behind where it feels hopeless and futile. Incentive to buy cards remains the same because the phasing would remain proportionate to growth of content in my vision, business could even be more booming as the game gets more friendly to someone who happened to install the game "too late".
It is standard indeed for the archetype but that doesnt make it not worth posting up. He hit high legend in the first week of the season w it in this particular iteration (2x Houndmaster, no Belcher, etc) plus the write up is excellent so showing us his subtle choices for the variable slots in the list and including a guide makes this a great post imo
Misleading people about your rank in the title for some weird social experiment reason is just lame and unnecessary. The rank of the deck in question isnt only important to gauge its credibility, its information that helps communicate the meta the deck is played in and responds to
I put in a good 15 or so games on this yesterday because I immediately fell in love w it , really masterful example of deckbuilding creativity and ingenuity to create something that is pretty oddball and troll in concept while still extremely competitive on ladder, not to mention really fun to play. Me and my friend got a kick out of this thing in our first few games, it brought laughter back to the game for two otherwise intensely competitive players. I want to thank you for that.
We've been playing around w swapping the second Divine Favor which we found to be dead a lot of the time. First instinct was to use Equality because its absence is of course pretty conspicuous. Its decent but I think the deck commands a large board presence often enough where the Equality atually turns out to be detrimental just a little too often. Im currently testing an Ironbeak owl because I found myself wishing for it all the time when playing 2x Divine Favor so Im going with my gut on that, will share my results in an edit. Again, fantastic deck my friend.
We nicknamed it "Bullshit Paladin" because it looks excrutiating to play against, the secrets make you have to deal with a whole lot of not getting what you want n we had a lot of laughs about that. We imagined this one Zoo player who was just being absolutely devastated by all the secrets one after the other going "OH MY GOD THIS IS BULLSHIT" thus the nickname lmaoo
No problem bud. I would just urge you to try to craft Harrison because he is crushing this meta right now, you most certainly would use him in multiple decks and land his battlecry all the time.

Nice guide. I run a deck identical to yours with the exception of 1 card, I use Sabotage instead of Edwin

I really like this and will try it but it only took 1 look at the list to see it would struggle against patron a lot
