Ok, so I got some ideas for this week's comp:

    Tokens:

    Audrey

    Flowey

    1) Before someone comments, yes, I'm aware of Lifesteal's existence. Un'Goro came before KoFT, so it didn't have that keyword yet and I want to stick to the timeline's rules.

    2) Flowey - All Razorpetal generating cards will give you Pellets instead (this includes Lashers and Volleys). I feared Flowey's power and this is why I increased its cost to 6 mana (+ it also generates you two cards).

    3) The weapon might feel overcosted, but, if you think about it, it thins out your deck and then it "draws" you the razorpetals, which were contained in the deleted cards.

I also have a banana idea:

Banana Smuggler Rare Battlecry: Add a Banana to your hand. At the start of your turn, double all Bananas in your hand.

posted a message on "Technically" full dust refund should be applied with buffs too

Technically you are correct, but the devs won't give us any dust refund. I agree with many people, that nerfs can be subjective:

    Quote from scorpyon >>

you can change a card in some way, but whether it is considered a nerf or buff is actually exclusively down to a subjective opinion (whether it is logical or not).

For example, if you changed Crystology from 2 mana to 3 mana, then many would call this a nerf. However an Odd Paladin player might consider it a buff - "Might", mind you. This is purely a hypothetical example, not a discussion about Crystology or what cards are good or not in Odd paladin.
The point being that any change to a card could be considered to be both a nerf and a buff (or even neither) depending on personal value of the card itself.

same applies to buffs (Even paladins will lose a good drawing card), but the devs explicitly said that they will offer a dust refund, when the power level of a card has been lowered. So yeah...

[edit] Since I see many people, who call us entitled, I would like to say this: I really don't feel like I should ask for a dust refund simply because ... some cards ... are going to... get... stronger. But I was just supporting those people for the sake of the topic.

posted a message on How to guarantee Sn1p Sn4p will be fine without any nerf or change to the card...
    Quote from RavenSunHP >>

Actually, the easiest way out is saying the announcement was wrong, and SN1P-SN4P was meant to cost (4) from the beginning.

It would become a silly legendary at that point but Marin the Fox exists so...

To be fair War Master Voone was initially 5 mana, but his stats and cost were changed later on (probably people thought his inclusion in Odd Dragon Warrior was too good). If I remember correctly, Seeping Oozeling also used to cost 5 mana when it was revealed*, but the devs decided to give it a small nerf. They probably feared its power in recruit/deathrattle hunter.

So what you are suggesting might become real.

posted a message on The Strange Fate of Dr. Morrigan

Hey, I actually like Spirit Bomb's change. Right now, since it costs 2 mana, it doesn't feel that rewarding in comparison to Shadow Bolt. But with the cost decrease, this can actually be included in a control or a suicidal deck. I don't think this will happen right after the buff patch arrives, but maybe next expansion when warlock gets more healing tools. I would definitely run it due to its cheap cost.

As for Dr. Morrigan - for now I can see her being used in wild Darkest Hour decks, since she enables some synergies there. If the opponent casts a board wipe, she can leave a big minion behind herself; in combination with the epic spell she can summon 2 big bodies and if a person draws her before the combo is cast, then a 6 mana 5/5 with a strong recruit deathrattle doesn't sound bad. Some people speculate, that this archtype will get some support over the year in standard, but we will see.

[edit] I could also see her being used in a greedy Evenlock, because she could pull out The Lich King, Ragnaros the Firelord and some giants, but this might be a bad idea, since the deck runs many cheap minions like Sunfury Protector, Vulgar Homunculus etc).

posted a message on What's your opinion about card buffs this time?

In the case of Dr. Morrigan, in my opinion Blizzard should just admit, that they designed it while being drunk and let it rotate out in piece... It could (maybe) see some play for 5 mana, however even then, you would have to build your deck in a very specific way, because otherwise it would still be worse than a Cairne Bloodhoof (Imagine playing her for 5 mana to get Acidic Swamp Ooze). Maybe if it was a common neutral card, someone could find some use for it. As a class legendary (especially Warlock's who has 0 synergies with that kind of mechanic), it's like a drunk joke...

How about Darkest Hour in wild? I think that she would still be pretty underwhelming there, but she enables some synergies, which are worth noting.

    Quote from SlydE >>

It is a gamechanger for dusting, yes. I'll think about if something should change, but crafting a card you will actually play has a value which should be considered vs. the risk of dusting something which MIGHT be buffed in the future, especially going ftp.

I knew you would say that and I completely agree with you. I would also dust unwanted legendaries to craft the cards I want to play atm. I wouldn't wait patiently until the next buff patch arrives, but instead I would enjoy the deck I desired to play.

But such a warning would be useful for new or returning players to see. Veterans wouldn't be aware, that a buff patch will happen soon and new players won't know that this thing is super rare. Imagine that in a few months from now someone joins hs (again) and wonders whether they should dust an underwhelming legendary. Knowing that a card could be potentially buffed one day is a factor worth considering.

posted a message on Is SN1P-SN4P too good?
    Quote from onceupop >>

If it ever becomes a problem, there is a fix that might be ok. Give Reckless Experimenter the Summoning Portal text.

"Your deathrattle minions cost (3) less, but no less than (1)  They die at end of turn."

That way SN1p-SN4P will still cost 1 mana and we won't ruin more expensive combos.

+ If people decide to play Mecha'thun priest in wild again, they would still be able to pull off their combo unharmed. From all of the suggested changes I have seen so far I like this one the most.

    @ Slyde

Soo uhm what's your opinion on the upcoming buff changes? Is this a reason to write a warning in the OP stating that people should be cautious when dusting weak cards? I know, I know - we can't predict which cards will get this treatment or when we will see this again (either next expansion, in a year from now or it might take longer than that), but the news about enhancing old and weak cards came out of nowhere and some users regret dusting their legendaries. I saw you put some plus signs near the affected cards, but I meant if you could warn the users to be careful in the future.

100% right what you are saying, just thought it would be good for me as a wildplayer to buy packs, get 1600 to 3200 Dust for every Elysiana i get and can craft old Legendaries, becuase its a big gamble for me to get the right Legendaries from those days. Its only a Dust to my prefered Legendaries Trade. :)

Do you use Innkeeper to track your card openings? Do you know exactly how many packs you have opened after receiving the last legendary?

No Sir, i didnt know that i can track it, thanks for Info. :)

Well, np. If you had known, then people here would have been unanimous regarding whether you should keep opening packs or not.

I'm a f2p, so I can afford not to use such programs, but imho people who invest real money in the game should use them. HS isn't cheap, so it's a good idea to know how great your chances are in getting a legendary.

    Quote from AnduinWrynn >>

So you are basically BUYING around 20-30 packs to get Elisiana again to dust her and get 1600 dust (1 new expansion legendary of your choice), plus getting 20-30 packs worth of only dust cause if you have all legends you should have all the other cards.

INSTEAD, if you wait to the next expansion and buy 20-30 packs you will get a legendary that you dont have plus 20-30 packs worth of cards you dont have.

    Basically this.

I don't understand why someone would want to throw money in packs, which will give them so little value. When I have many cards from a single expansion, the worst and, sadly, the most frequent pack outcome is 40 dust (4 commons and 1 rare). Now let's compare it to a pack with the same contents from an expansion, where you don't have any cards yet. The worst outcome will be worth 300 dust*, if you don't keep getting extra copies of already owned commons and rares. So it's better to save your money and to open packs from the next expansion as AnduinWrynn and other users said. Not to mention, if your luck is bad as mine, you would have to open 30+ packs before getting Elysiana and dusting her for 1600. It's not worth it.

If you could get a legendary after every 5th pack, then yeah, your strategy would have been very profitable.

Note* -  not saying that you will get 300 dust after DE those cards, so I don't want anyone to misinterpret my words. This is how much the pack is worth, if you don't get three or more copies of the commons/rares.

    posted a message on So...Crystology...
    Quote from Battenberg >>

Yeah this is the only buff that immediately strikes me as being likely to get reverted. They literally just nerfed a rogue card because "3 mana draw 3 was above the power curve" and 1 mana draw 2 is way better than that. It's insane in any otk paladin as it draws more draw, it's insane in aggro paladin as a very cheap refill, likewise for odd pally now, it's good in secret paladin for hitting secretkeeper, midrange paladin can use it to thin hit value cards like stonehill or pull Kangor to save themself (or even just thin early game out the deck).

There's just a lot of ways, in any play mode, that 1 mana draw 2 is going to be good. Not only that but they have to even more careful of printing powerful paldin minions with 1 attack. It would have been better to throw an extra hp on annoy-o-module in place of this buff imo.

I fully agree with everything you said. I always thought Crystology was a good card and wonder why it got a buff.

And, guys, I don't mean to disregard the devs' decision of doing something new for their game and making old cards stronger, but most of the enhanced ones are the wrong candidates imho. Like, why would you reduce the cost of a perfectly designed card and make it problematic (Crystology)? Why would you reduce the cost of an underwhelming card like Violet Haze, if still not going to see any play because rogues have better value generators in both formats (Heistbaron Togwaggle, Academic Espionage)? Or Flark's Boom-Zooka? What card in the past made it problematic, that it deserve a cost increase to 8 mana and now it can be reverted to 7?

Underused cards should be buffed imho, but you have to put some time to decide which of those deserve this treatment. For example I like the changes to Necromechanic, Dr. Morrigan  or Extra Arms (the latter being in wild), because those can enable powerful synergies, which weren't explored before, while still being fair. Spirit Bomb is the card, that I really want to try once warlock gets more healing tools in standard. People didn't want to run it, because it wasn't that rewarding in comparison to Shadow Bolt, but with the cost decrease this card becomes a really interesting inclusion in a control/suicide deck.
