About Mogor + another Ogre: Can the ogre end up attacking the minion it originally targeted if both effects trigger? Or will both effects only choose among minions that were not the original target? In which case, if both effects trigger, can the second one end up choosing the same target anyway?
I believe both Mogor and the other Ogre will recognize your chosen target as the 'right' enemy, so if both trigger, both will choose a different enemy from the one you intended to attack
Explosive Sheep + Poison Seeds = Equality + Consecration for druids? Yeah, actually Poison Seeds will kill everything, Deathrattles happen, then makes 2/2s. - (Zeriyah)
This actually doesn't help clarify anything. The question is asking about a board wipe type play, but Zeriyah's answer makes it sound like Poison Seeds will kill everything, the Explosive Sheep will blow up, then the 2/2 Treants spawn. Therefore, the answer should be nope, Explosive Sheep + Poison Seeds =/= Equality + Consecration.
Or is it just late and I am just totally misreading this?
You are, far as I can tell, correct, small error in wording from Zeriyah, but the explanation is correct
Hmm... So Darkbomb is 2 mana and Sinister Strike is 1 mana... Card "should" be priced at 3 mana. That said, if every card printed was value, then the game would crumble. Bad cards are necessary to keep the F2P model working...
Hey Notso,
I absolutely agree that Cobra Shot is extremely weak. However, simply adding the mana costs of multiple cards is not a reliable way to determine the value. The reason being that on the one hand, needing to spend two cards means that you... well... need to spend two cards, emptying your hand faster, requiring more draw etc. On the other hand, having the flexibility of playing the parts of the effect separately is a benefit, since you can spend your mana more efficiently, trigger more effects etc. For example:
Silence is zero mana, but obviously Ironbeak Owl and Spellbreaker have low stats for their mana cost because of the value of a silence effect.
In fact, a much easier analogy to see how worthless Cobra Shot is, is to look at Fireball and ask yourself how often you prefer cobra's 3/3 distribution to fireballs focused 6, or Multi-Shot's distribution, then realize you're paying an extra mana for cobra shot.
Because the damage is split, I think it's actually worse than Fireball. At 4 I would still rarely play Cobra Shot, but 3 mana would be too cheap, so it's a tough one, but 5 is definitely way too high
if you have armor and the tree of life + auchenai soulpriest combo happens, does the armor save you if the total health + armor > 30?
As I understand it...
Tree of Life calculates how much health you need to get back to 30, and tries to heal for that amount. Auchenai Soulpriest causes it to deal that much damage instead.
When a hero takes damage, armor gets destroyed before the life total gets reduced, so the hero survives if it had armor.
It's not Tirion, or Ragnaros, thats true, and compared to them, this card deserves to die in a fire. BUT it has a white gem, meaning it costs 40 dust instead of 1600, so for those on a budget, this card will be great!
If you had a Nerubian Egg and an Explosive Sheep on the board and played Feign Death do you wind up with 2 Nerubians? One egg deathrattle triggered by feign death and then the egg is killed by the sheep's deathrattle for a total of 2?
And, come to think of it, does the sheep's deathrattle kill itself, resulting in it's deathrattle to trigger a second time, dealing a total of 4 damage to all minions, and thus killing the newly summoned nerubians?
... I have confused myself.
Feign Death triggers deathrattles - One Nerubian summons and Sheep tirggers --Nerubian takes 2 damage, Egg takes 2 damage, Sheep takes 2 damage. Egg and Sheep dies ---Deathrattles trigger again, new Nerubian summoned, and Sheep explodes ----1st Nerubian dies, second takes 2 damage, is now a 4/2
Did not know that! Ouch! Guess my old headmaster was right, only some of us can learn from other people's mistakes, the rest of us have to be the other people. Sucks when you have to be the one doing the teaching
Gaming news website I frequent had an article about it way back before closed beta. I used to play Yu-gi-oh and am a Warcraft lore junkie, the idea of combining that love for lore with a card game bit me, and I started watching Youtube vids (TotalBiscuit was my go-to channel back then).
When closed beta hit, that same website I first learned about Hearthstone on had 10 keys to give away, and those who were around back then know how crazy the key hunt was. I got one of those 10 keys, and the rest, as they say, is history
Hard to believe I've been playing this crazy game for over a year now!
To me if Arthas isn't the DK Hero he will be the Dk legendary OR the last boss of ICC adventure if they ever do it one day (but I think that the setting "undead" is a bit to close to the Naxx one and their is a lot other flavor to explore first).
And if Arthas end as a Legendary Morgaine is the only Dk Hero possible, he is THE leader of the Dk after all.
If that really is how Blizzard's logic about these things work, then please tell me why we got Anduin as Priest hero when there are MANY stronger/more important priests in the lore.
And I don't think they'll be making the Lich King a playable hero. Legendaries, yes, expansion bosses, very likely, heroes, no

Seeing very little love for Hunter, Control Hunter got some nice new tools to play with, and Gahz'rilla is a Trolden video waiting to happen

Bolvar Fordragon?

Sabotage triggers in it's entirety, meaning it kills a minion and if combo'd, destroys a weapon, then Deathrattles trigger.
So in your example Sabotage will kill Tirion Fordring, but not the Ashbringer from Tirion's Deathrattle

It tries to heal FOR maximum health value, like Ancestral Healing, not up to. So Auchenai Soulpriest+ Tree of Life will try to heal a hero for 30, Lord Jaraxxus for 15,Ragnaros the Firelord for 8 etc. Thus everything dies, unless it has Divine Shield, or a hero's Health+Armor > 30

Explosive Sheep+Feign Death=4mana, 2 card Flamestrike, assuming you have an empty board
