Whether or not people enjoy metas is purely subjective.  There's always been a huge pile of salty "this meta is terrible" threads littered about every expansion.  Even I'm guilty of being part of the babyrage crowd during certain metas but I love the current one.  It just goes to show that asking individual people how good the meta is is pretty meaningless

Maybe you should give us some background on yourself like when did you quit and why.  What classes and archetypes you like to play and what you don't like seeing from the opponents or meta

Telling us you're a spike (generally someone who likes competitive decks and not memeing) is a good start.  If you're a spike that enjoys skillful decks, now is a pretty good time to play.  Most of the top decks right now are tough to pilot and aside from the issue of polarization, skill matters more than ever.  Combo decks right now are king.  Aggro is also in a good spot

What I'm trying to say is that you'll have a good time if you're a druid main.  If you don't like druid, don't worry.  There's a few decks (most notably egg hunter and zoo) out there that can really give it a hard time and are decent in other matchups

NightCrawler is pretty much correct with everything they've said here. The meta is pretty diverse right now, with there being several decks played in Ranked by every class. There's a ton of variety, and most matches will feel different from one another. Druid is a bit obnoxious to play against, so if you like Druid, you'll enjoy the game a bit more than normal, though this is just an assumption about how you might play in general. It's worth giving it your best shot, absolutely. Don't let people dissuade you of all this. The people who want to ruin your perception of things here will chime in about how they feel it's a bad time, saying the meta is awful, yet don't quite remember when TGT was in full swing.

They didn't "nuke" the Mage class. Mana Wyrm was abusive to a degree. I don't agree with the nerf, however, Tempo and Burn Mage got almost the same treatment as a number of other aggressive decks. Warrior and Druid both had core cards of their own "nuked". Some people were annoyed when Fiery War Axe got nerfed, and not many were as irritated when Innervate got nerfed. Saying that Mage got nuked is the same as saying the game gets nuked whenever cards get rotated out. Again, it's only a matter of time before Rogue sees a nerf or rotation of Shadowstep/Preparation.

Besides, OP was asking for you to help them get back into the game. You're not helping.

posted a message on I think that the answer to nerf certain OP combo deck is this: Card restriction.

This is about as bad an idea as saying Kaladin can't post in the Salt thread. "You can't play those cards together because we said so." It's a good thing you're nowhere near a game design position because you're suggesting something that is for the idea that players should be both punished and restricted at the same time and against the idea of freedom and ability, solely because you have no way of properly correcting a "problem".

Stick to what you do best and get back to eating that dollar store glue you're so fond of.

posted a message on [WIP Fan Expansion] Azeroth's Most Wanted! - Cards & Balance Complete! Took me long enough...

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but Pyrestone Shard's secondary effect that lets you combine the shards is impossible to satisfy because you cast the shards the instant they are drawn, meaning you'll never actually get to combine them.

posted a message on Is Blizzard afraid to nerf Druid?

Why would Blizzard be afraid to nerf Druid when they nerfed Fiery War Axe and Rogue's Quest twice? If Blizzard were afraid of nerfing cards/classes, you'd think they wouldn't want to give people two opportunities for a full dust refund on a Legendary like the Rogue Quest. Also, they nerfed Yogg-Saron, Hope's End. Think about how much the community loved Yogg, then realize that Blizzard doesn't care how you'll feel about the nerfs at the end of the day. Really let that sink in.

It's like people don't understand that nerfs are only just an adjustment and not an absolute erasure. Warsong Commander is likely the only card that was actually killed by a nerf.

posted a message on Nerdy discussion: Who is your favorite God/Goddess and why? Mythology, games and even religion. (Kratos is not valid :P )

Because I enjoy topics like this and because of who the OP is, I'm going to leave something with some amount of detail.

Generally, I like deities that concern chaos, madness, fear, games, trickery, and death, for starters.

Norse: I really do enjoy Loki a lot. Little details like how he turned into a fly to annoy and distract the blacksmith that was creating Mjolnir so the hammer's creation would see sabotage, the hammer was produced as a one-handed hammer when it was originally meant to be a two-handed hammer, I find little bits like this to be fascinating. Shapeshifting was always an ability I thought was cool, and I take to Loki on a mental level, as he is like a snake that means to send you down the wrong road if it means he can further go about his business.

Egyptian: Set and Anubis were always fascinating to me, but I find disorder and violence to be much more interesting/satiating than just Death and the Underworld. Because of this, I enjoy Set much more.

I find Anubis interesting to the point where I decided to involve him in a Hero Card set I created. I feel like this turned out controversially well, which is nice.

Chinese: Xiwangmu seems up my alley, as she is described as a nightmare feels. Yanwang is about my speed, but just like with Set and Anubis, Yanwang feels too much like a one trick pony comparatively.

Japanese: Omoikane, the Deity of Wisdom would be about where my interests lie. I try imparting wisdom where applicable, within reason. You shouldn't be trying to make yourself wise with others at every opportunity, but find where it's most appropriate.

Greek: Apollo, Ares and Hades are all about where I find identity and interest. I feel like I enjoy the idea of Apollo more if I'm identifying with one in this Pantheon, but I really like Ares, considering Ares helps bring a darker side to humanity, as you could consider Ares responsible for the existence of atrocity during wartime. In general though, with Hades, I tend to enjoy the Hell characters often, so why not consider him? Apollo is described by Wikipedia as the "God of music, arts, knowledge, healing, plague, prophecy, poetry, manly beauty, and archery."

Concerning Rome, Rome and Greece practically share a Pantheon, assigning names differently.

There are so many cultures that exist that I'm going to leave it at this.

It's a culture that's being bred over at places like Youtube. Cynical critics get attention, are revered, and are generally regarded as cool. Being a kiss ass isn't very positive either, but put all the behavioral shit aside and think for a second just how bad it is to be not just cynical but also getting details wrong.

Side note, I'm digging the art you're using for an avatar.
