I just have a simple question of what rank do you people think is a good rank or at least not a bad one. this is at the end of the season if you were at this rank you wouldn't be disappointed
i went to rank 10 with several decks without losing a single game so i would say rank 10 is fairly easy to achieve. plus some friends of mine arent really that good at this game and they reached 10 also. but everything afterwards is imo a good job, even reaching 5 is not that easy as many people on this forum say. and everything beyond rank 5 requires a decent amount of skill and a lot of time
I don't know but after rank 5 people just rope you every turn like this game is hard. People should be required to play 10000 hours of chess so they can develop a brain before playing this game, hate ropers. kappa.
You don't need a brain to play HS, so your post makes zero sense. Maybe you should start practicing chess? .... Kappa ...
There is no difference between 5 and 1, I've been there many times. It's all about who wants it more/has more patience. Nothing to do with skill. The only thing harder about 5-1, over 15-10, is no win streaks.
Remember, many players shoot up the ladder with Face decks, then switch to control, so it doesn't look like they did it cheaply. These are not great players. There's a lot of donkeys in the 5-1 region, and many of them do slip through to legend. Those ones you see at 3K+ on streams, if they weren't locked into legend rank they'd have slipped back to Rank 10 very quickly.
75% of the people cannot reach rank 15, so I'd say you're good enough if you're at this rank or higher. Reaching Legend is mainly a dedication to grind, and high rank players are all very evenly in skill imo. At a competitive level, rank 5 is what's considered "good".
I disagree, it's most likely the same, it's after all math, there's one winning player and one losing player. That the curve isn't linear is due to the win streak system. But the theory remains the same, as one player wins the other losses, hence there should be 2 ppl below every person that have got a win.
by saying its outdated i meant that the table he gave was from september 2014 and I think that some things have changed since than
to avoid a novel, I'll just say I think "good" is rank 10 give or take. even with all the cards, there is a wall to get past from about 16 down to 10. A million different random decks to painfully claw through and you need to be pretty good (and have a good deck) to get past that. After 10, I'd say someone is "very good" down to 5. I think after 5 you are excellent. To get to Legendary, you have to be in the top 1% (or less) so in anything in life, the top 1% is incredible (even if you play op decks). The word "good" should not be so godly. If you have all the cards at your disposal and spend some reasonable time on the game, you shouldn't be stuck above 15 all season long. In that case, you're probably a "bad" hearthstone player :)
that being said, without some bad players, we have no way to measure the "good" and better.

It's not just the win streak system that messes with the numbers, but also the fact that you cannot lose stars at rank 20 no stars. These two mechanism constantly generate stars. Furthermore, One has to account for starting stars. Your last sentence doesn't make sense at all, but perhaps I'm missing what you intended to say.
Rank 15 = average Rank 10 = good Rank 5 = very good Legend = excellent However, I truly think that the best of the best are the architects, those who find their own working decks according to their local meta.
I think people's answer to this question will large lychange depending on the highest rank they've attained but I think to draw the line of "good" at legend is pretty extreme. I think it is fair to draw the line of "excellent" at legend because anyone can hit Rank 5 with a decent deck and a fair understanding of its mechanics and matchups, but hitting legend requires a lot of time and effort and some luck that a lot of "good" players haven't managed or can't frequently manage.

For me, from rank 5 to legend is the real challenge.

5 is okay, 4-1 ist better and legend is good.
With the comparatively little time I am investing I am always quite content with Rank 10.
Everyone play a top - tier deck with even less than 50% winrate are able reach rank 5 so cant supposedly rank 5 is good .
You need reach legend to be consider as a good player .
You need reach legend to be consider as a good player .

Quoth the raven...
Legend
It's more than able because winning strike bonus
Rank 20, obviously! Kippa
THE ELEPHANTS WILL DESTROY YOU!
Rank 15 = average
Rank 10 = good
Rank 5 = very good
Legend = excellent

Not all who wander are lost.
I think 10 shows competence and 5 means you're good and have time to play.
