stuck at rank 9, switched from secret pally to mid range and am going 50/50. I just feel stuck. Finding a lot of entomb priests as well, any suggestions? I usually get to rank 6
Same boat my fried. I breezed from 17-10 in about 2 hours (88% winrate) using secret pally then got to 10 and pretty much hit a wall. I've managed to get to 9 now switching between priest, warrior and midrange but it's a struggle. Hoping to at least hit 5 this season but the meta is crazy.
im slowly climbing with dragon priest. the only matchup that I hate is Reno(anything). got a paladin to 1 last night when he said "sorry" and dropped a reno.

can't get past rank 10 with eboladin? lol
Considering I've only been playing about 5 months and I have 2 kids and a full time job, and I still managed to get to rank 5 season 19 with midrange Paladin, I'd say I'm doing pretty well. So sorry we're not all as good as you. I'm flattered one of your 3 posts was to insult me though.
If you aren't getting to rank 5 or better pretty easily with secret paladin, I suggest you slow down with the deck switching and try to learn to play better. Secret paladin is on the easier side of decks to play, might as well learn to play properly sooner than later unless you plan to quit the game in the next couple months.

I can feel the salt while reading the sentences so i can't pay attention to what you're saying. I got to legend season 17. I know how to play this game lol

Nope, can't get past Rank 10 with Eboladin. The deck is garbage. Worse than Face Hunter worse than Aggro Shaman.
Rank 10 is pretty much when just purely messing around stops working. People actually start to TRY to have a real deck at that point. Thus you need a half decent deck that isn't flatly countered by the meta.
Myself, I'm finding that my very silly decks are floundering HARD against the meta. While I see a good bit of aggro, A LOT of folks are using very slow and greedy decks, especially with Reno. Thus there's two ways to go:
1. Go for minion based control decks. Midrange Paladin works VERY well for this, especially if you never stop hitting that hero power. Nothing like them wiping your board 10 times only to realize that the dudes just keep coming.
2. go face. Not ebaldin. HYPERFAST secret paladin can work (secret keepers and Divine Spirit, that sort of thing) or aggro shaman.
Once you have the dekc, STICK with it and learn it. For all the talk of brainlessness, it's VERY easy to not use an aggro deck correctly and fail with it. Thus you need time, and games, and some analysis of yourself to use it in a way that works. You also have to allow yourself to LOSE. If you're falling apart due to a 3 loss streak or switching decks then you aren't going to get anywhere. Ranked aren't gained by a 99% win rate. They are gained by playing, OVER AND OVER and just making sure that you win at least half of your games. JUST half. That means 24 losses from 50 games is ok. Think about that. Do you LET yourself lose 24 times without giving up?
Just play what you are comfortable with thats all that matters. I hit legend with mid range pally and have been doing good with it so i would say its a good pick.
Ever since LoE came out the meta is all over the place the standard decks I've been playing won't level me up the way they used to. I've been using Mid Paly, Secret Paly, dragon priest, face hunter, mid hunter, or control warrior and usually climb to level 10. I could get higher, but don't have the time to grind it up further.
This month has been crazy where I'm getting bounced back down and can barely hit level 15. I made it to 13 and keep getting people with Renolock decks or face hunters with better luck than I. (and I know how to play...I have over 4000 wins). I just can't get any thing to be consistent because of the LoE cards.
I really wish I knew what would level me up consistently.
I've been playing a midrangey zoolock deck and it's worked pretty well. Climbed up to 7 this morning (and then lost three straight to a mech mage with a crazy start, a face hunter, and a warrior (still mad about that one))

Dont worry - normal people with lives tend to hang around between ranks 5 through 15 and thats perfectly fine. If you are enjoying the game then thats what counts. I get all pissed off sometimes but afterwards realize "who effing cares"? Its a silly card game. :)
I also run a midrange paladin a lot and got to rank 6 but have fallen back. Sometimes you just get bad cards and go on losing streaks. Not much you can do but switch decks or change cards if you think it will help.

I win due to skill and lose due to bad RNG. :D

Mid-range druid with double combo works well for me so far.
Control and Dragon Priest as well as Renolock and Secret Paladin work for me this season.

Midrange Pally to get to Rank 5. Definitely not easy though. The meta is quite diverse with no clear favourable matchup, all are like 55-45 at most.

renolock is the best deck on ladder imo
Ive been swinging around a lot, between rank 8 and 11.
Only real progress i been making is with odemians pally deck.
Try normal midrange zoo with bgh as tech . Just reached rank 5 with it a couple of days ago .
Mornings; Smork Shaman. Evenings; Combo Druid.
...plus the occasional offering to RNGesus

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.

Right now I'm at rank 4 with a pretty standard Tempo Mage deck. I got to rank 5 without too much effort.
