Sadly yes. Have very little luck to beat them with most of my control decks, except maybe dragon priest. So its either hyper agro or flare hunter. Btw, inb4 not-so-smart people with "you just learn to play against them!" argument.
I've only got 1 loss (and probably a dozen wins) against secret pally by using a control pally. As long as you get Zombie Chow, Mini-bot, or Flame Juggler in the opening hand, you just auto-win.
The only loss I have was when I had no turn 1 or 2 play and he had double Secretkeeper double Secret by turn 2.

Secret paladin isn't technically aggro, the aggressive version is not that good.... midrange secrets is best.
This of it as face hunter, with shredders, highmanes, etc.
Second Point:
All card games favour aggro decks in the long run. Reasons to play an aggro deck: -Cheap
-Fast Ranking
-Easy to Play
There will always be aggro decks. In the long run, aggro and hybrid decks are going to be powerful. The only thing that competes with them is really strong combo decks such as patron.
I don't think it's secret paladin. Aggro druid inevitably was going to be a thing when darnassus was introduced. Face hunters had always been around. Tempo/Mech mage/Zoo are decks that can adapt from being aggro or midranged depending on who they're facing. I'm not sure what other "hyper aggro" decks there are out there. And the best secret paladins are hybrids right now too aren't they?

Funny that everyone thinks aggro is the way to go, when a secret Paladin with a halfway decent draw can match the early pressure of aggro and then pretty much insta-wins turn 6.
If people want to starve out Secret Paladin, the meta actually needs to slow down, not speed up. On an even draw, most Midrange Secret Paladins are unfavored against a true Midrange deck. Against most control (which rarely, if ever, will poke the Christmas tree), 1/3 of the Secret Paladin's deck is pretty much useless until the control deck decides to open their presents (in which case they already have an answer for whatever jumps out of the Jack-In-The-Box).
Here's the thing about this though. If the meta slows down to more Midrange/Control style to try to starve out Secret Paladin, what's going to become popular again? Aggro. When Aggro becomes king, then Hybrid decks will take over. Once the Hybrids take over, Midrange/Control will come back, which will lead to Aggro coming back again.
The meta will NEVER stabilize. It will always be rotating between these styles. As players, we can either accept this fact for what it is and adapt as the meta changes, or we can post in forums about how OP decks/cards are.

Holy shit that is so true ^^ Very impressed at the perspective. As a long time yugioh player (quit when I turned 15 this year), I realized that all other card games were totally different from yugioh. Yugioh had archetypes and each deck had its strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes there was one busted deck and some competitors, other times every deck was so fucking broken it was ridiculous. The fact that this cycle happens in all other games is something I didn't think about because we never really had aggro or control or midrange.
OMG Lol I saw that thread on reddit. Yeah I thought it was stupid that bots could do that and get people to legend. If only I had tirion *sigh*. I really do like Secret Paladin though. It's a great deck and works a lot of the time (too bad I can't play it because of no Tirion).
That is because majority of secret pallies are already under rank 10. Kappa
You might wish this was a joke but there was a post on Reddit yesterday with stats on bots, with SP bots having a winrate of over 60% below rank 5 and bots also reach legend with it. Literally a dumb computer program repeating the same thing over and over will always get to rank 5 with secret paladin. (Did you wonder why your scrub friend thst couldn't make rank 10 made legend this season?)
They also created a bot that played Chess that most Grandmasters couldn't beat.
Chess must be easy to play too, right? Since "literally a dumb computer program" was able to beat the best players in the world on a consistent basis?

Title says it all. The only way to handle and deal with the juggernaut that is Secret Paladin is hyper aggro. This meta is turning into dogshit.
Yep. It makes me quite sad since I was looking forward to having a more slow meta so I could have more fun.
When your opponent has lethal:
I also want to express the displeasure!
I'm a reactionary player so when I build a deck that would counter this deck, it becomes utter garbage versus the other 95% of Hearthstone decks.
Not sure if hyped yet.
Flare kappa. Paladin is my favourite opp now

So Correct , I have finally decided to give my self rest from hearthstone.
Luck plays far more of a role now than ever and games rarely go into the 8th turn.

indeed.
I see about twice as much control warrior in ranked as I do any aggro deck. This is one of the least-aggro metas I can remember.

I'm rank 10 on NA server and hardly face any secret paladins on my journey to this point.
