The guys over at the HearthSim and Hearthstone Science community are going to be collecting pack opening statistics, and we're not only trying to help them get stats from the entire HS community, but also collect statistics for our own usage!
What we need is for you to enable client logging before you open up your TGT card packs, and to send the data over to us and the HearthSim project.
How to Help
What we need you to do to help us out is to enable client logging, save your data, and then send it on.
This is safe. You won't get banned. Third-party deck trackers have been using log files for a long time now with no negative consequences - other than some system performance issues on low end systems, but you can disable it after you open your packs!
1) Enabling Client Logging
Below are some instructions to enable logging (Just for Achievements.log for card packs - see this pageto enable game replays), courtesy /u/flipperbw.
Here's how to enable it:
Navigate to your Local Application Data directory:
Windows: C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\Blizzard\Hearthstone or just %LOCALAPPDATA%/Blizzard/Hearthstone
Mac (I believe): ~/Library/Preferences/Blizzard/Hearthstone
You're done! The Achievements.log file can be found in the Hearthstone/Logsdirectory (same folder that contains the Hearthstone executable, under Logs/). The file is created when you log in and will always start with all the non-purchaseable cards in your collection.
Some of you may be familiar with the Hearthstone logging system. The Power.log file is a completely legitimate way to record your games into "replay" files and it's what tools like Hearthstone-Deck-Trackeruse.
What you are probably not aware of is the Achievements logger. Among other things, that log file tracks every card you gain through pack openings or other means.
2) Open Up Your Packs
Now that the logfile has been created, you need to go in-game and open up your packs. Now, you can either keep your client open or close it once your packs have been open, but if you choose to close it, don't open up your client again until you complete step 3..
3) Backup Your Log File
Navigate to your Hearthstone installation folder (Default is C:\Program Files (x86)\ on Windows).
Inside of this folder should be a Logs directory. Go into it.
Copy your "Achievements.log" file to your desktop or another folder easily accessible. Once copied, you're safe to start up Hearthstone again.
4) Submit Your Data
Head on over to a site I've put up for the purpose of data collection. http://fluxflashor.net:8181/games/hearthstone/card-packs/ Add your achievements log file, and the site will process it to add your data to the collection. Data will be exported once we've got enough of it.
You should also send your data to the HearthSim project via Email. Send an email to contact@HearthSim.info with Achievements.log as an attachment.
Once Data is submitted, restart Hearthstone or delete the Achievements.log file.
Success!
Once you've submitted your card pack opening log files, we'll start compiling data and turn out some sweet information on them.
Yep, that is why it didn't work. The error was fixed when it was brought to my attention, it didn't look bad in the post edit.
Note to people submitting logs:
If you have submitted a log and want to submit another one, make sure you deleted your log file or restarted hearthstone after the first log was uploaded - this helps prevent duplicate data.
Please submit log files before crafting any cards.
Maybe Im mistaken but recently Ive realized that somehow the droprate for legendaries was dropped from 2% to 1%. Not only my experience but from data from many other players. I am curious if this expansion is going to confirm it.

The droprate for legendaries was always 1%. We've been seeing that since Classic and reconfirmed it during GvG madness. There's even a reddit post where the method that rarities are determined was put down, which would result in the same 1% for legendaries.
So yeah, if the legendary rate is 1% now then it's going as normal.
Well I can confirm that I opened 50 packs and Only got 1 legendary which was the Druid class'. I have bought 15 pack bundles before and ended up with 2 legendaries each time. I am bummed but stoked that we have new cards. Seems like drop rate definitely was lowered but I did end up with like 5+ epics. Game on! Now which Legendary to craft with the dust Hmmmm...

Good luck to them. :)

Ok.
Used to be a proud Handlock player.
Legend 17 times.
Still flirting with the ladder from times to times with Renolock.
I don't know what is the hard part on win10 seems normal to me ??
Unfortunately not right now. However, if you have a video, we could in theory add it later on manually.
I wanted to get some form of manual additions + proof done, but I ran out of time.
I'm on Windows 10 and the instructions work perfectly.
Sure
I am stupid, I literally called it "calledlog.config". Well, that's 10 packs that won't get tracked. Fixed it for my main account, though.
Not sure why there wasnt a space there, but its been fixed and bolded. Thanks!

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
No, actually it was in classic always around 2%. Not sure wheere you got a 1% date for classic packs.
I opened 50 packs and got 3 legendary, inclucing a golden one.

I opened 95 packs the first 30 I opened nothing but a few golden commons and a few epics.
I finished with 347 Commons 91 Rares 16 Epics and 7 Legendary along with 7 Golden Commons and 7 Golden Rares.
I pulled Acidmaw, Anub'arak, Varian Wrynn, Fjola Lightbane, Justicar Trueheart, The Skeleton King, Ice Howl.
It also left me with 2015 dustables.
I feel like I had pretty good success considering the first 30 were pretty underwhelming.
Opened 23 packs, got 2 legendaries, only about 5 epics.
