Video game giant Activision Blizzard Inc., maker of games including World of Warcraft and Diablo, fosters a “frat boy” culture in which female employees are subjected to constant sexual harassment, unequal pay, and retaliation, according to a lawsuit filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
A two-year investigation by the state agency found that the company discriminated against female employees in terms and conditions of employment, including compensation, assignment, promotion, and termination. Company leadership consistently failed to take steps to prevent discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, the agency said.
I agree and support Alliestrasza and Lt. Eddy. Your comments?
I think any sensible person would agree. This year we already had the Zalae affair, and now this. Even so, I think it is clear that this is a problem that goes beyond Blizzard Activision, it is about us as a society and how we can establish guidelines so that in our small communities these things are not repeated.
This lawsuit is HUGE, she is totally right to bring atention to this. Blizzard should make an statement about the whole situation. I don't think people saying "i don't care" understand how big the problem is
This sucks all the way around. Sure, punish the people who did all of this but don't punish all the hardworking people who put a lot into the artwork and game design. I want to see the bad people punished but I'm sorry, I just want to play some hearthstone and see some new cards.

As much as I agree with this, there has to be done a lot more to change anything in the grand scheme of things.
Like I have seen comment sections on YT already where people are starting the "These women just made this up to get rich" bs. Wtf is wrong with people? Someone committed!

A state agency investigates and finds discrimination….. amazing. There are two sides to every story and I don’t jump to conclusions. These companies are under constant assault from lawsuits because everyone thinks all corporations have endless piles of money. I know one thing for sure is that everyone will be paying higher prices for their products if any lawsuit is successful.. I don’t care about anyone and their personal bs and tbh this garbage doesn’t even belong in a game forum, nobody cares.
I'm generally not one to comment on this sort of thing, but these streamers are perfectly justified in withholding their card releases as far as I'm concerned. They are doing what they can to call attention/bring awareness to workplace discrimination and moreover to stand against it. If some people are upset that they can't see some cards on their virtual TCG a little earlier than they would otherwise and don't think that standing up to one of the largest social issues we currently face in America is worthy of that relatively trivial inconvenience, then frankly I think they should reconsider their priorities. This is bigger than Hearthstone people, and it's certainly bigger than getting a sneak preview of some virtual cards you think might be cool.
That company man, tries to correct one wrong with another. What releasing cards has to do with the harassment of female employees?? Dont make me wrong they should be punished severely if accusations stand. The playerbase though are the company's clients. You cant promise things and then just take em away because of ur internal shit. Thank god its gaming company in that case and not something else.

This is not just a "one person accuses another person" story and your ignorance is part of the problem. Why do you even post a comment if you don't care about this? It seems like people were discriminated, assaulted and someone even committed and this is your reaction? So you not paying higher prices is more important to you than the things that (apparently) happened? What a crazy world we live in...
I don't know all the details but seems to me that if you want to make a stand, cut your ties. Don't wait a day to then do your goofy card reveal and continue to benefit from promotion provided by a company that you're making a stand against.
Doesn't seem like taking a stand to me. Seems like virtue signalling. Release a video explaining that because of these things, you do not wish to be associated with the company anymore, will not be streaming their games until at least some verdict has been reached and will not promote their products. I'd have full respect and support for that.
Putting a reveal off by a day just seems like you want to look to be making a stand but not actually have it get in the way of the privelages that you are receiving as a content creator. The accusations sound pretty bad, not a company I'd like to work with/for. But sure, put it off for a day, get a pat on the back for the great work you're doing to fight for fair treatment and then jump back on, make a goofy video and celebrate the same company a day later.
Seems to stink of hypocrisy to me..."oh no, no, Blizzard, you misunderstand me, I still want to do my card reveal and get the hits from the views etc, I'm just going to push it back a bit because you're awful, terrible people and I need everyone to know that I don't support all the awful things you do. I do however support your continued support in my channel please thank you very much kindlyyyyy"
If you read a bit about Blizz’s CEO, you start wondering if you should keep giving any money to his company. Now this is another stone to their grave, and I know it’ll help me quit my HS addiction.

Ok, next time instead of not revealing the card, don't get a card and give it to MarkMcKz.

Curious what folks that have left the company have to say about this? Chris Metzen, Ben Brode, Mike Morhaime....
Like we needed more confirmation that the Blizzard we grew up with is long dead.

Not clear from the reporting when this behavior took place.
There should be a news post on this I think, I doubt this will be the last we hear about it.
Maybe it was never really alive...
