Ever since Tickatus was printed, people have been crying that control decks cannot exist in standard because of him. Now Warlock is gone (haven't seen a single one in 50 standard games) so where are all of those control decks supposedly oppressed by Tickatus? So bronze players had no idea what they were talking about? No way!
I see control warlock, control warrior, and control priest with regularity in Diamond. Does Clown Druid count as a control deck? I see that too. On occasion, I'll see slower hunter, mage, shaman, and DH decks too, but they probably can't be classified as control decks.
I'm not sure which of warrior, priest, druid, and warlock is the best control deck though. I still lose to warlock when I play other control decks. It's hard to overcome the loss of 10 cards.
how else would you know that bronze players don't play control ?
What you're saying makes no sense... Did I say they don't play control decks? I just pointed out their pathetic cries about "Tickatus oppressing control decks", that had been appearing on this forum for several months.
I playing control priest and is doing good now warlocks are not that prevalent but every single time a cursed Tickatus is played I want to trow the deck away and play with hyper aggro.
Tickatus is the mostly insanely OP card ever printed in this game history against any slower deck, period.

I have also seen those frequently. That is certainly one aspect which is good about the game right now. Aggro, midrange and control all have their place and see play. But in my opinion, everything looks extremely overtuned. Aggro decks are too explosive and have too much refill, midrange decks cheat too much mana and control decks either have way too many too good removal tools (Warlock) or generate way too much cards (Priest).
I would love HS to be more like arena, where you actually get to play expensive minions, think about board trades and so on. The power level in in standard is too high overall.

Combos that can regularly kill you on turn 5-7? Nah man, got to be the card playable only on 8 mana that doesn't affect the board in any way shape or form. Man, that's a spooky thing right there.
I'm not a legend player at this point and I never said so. I play F2P since beta, but mostly with Warlock (hell, I still don't even have 60 level with all classes). When he's good I play a lot, when he's not, I'm doing mostly dailies. I reached legendary rank in the past twice: with Cubelock and with Zoolock (when it was still good). Now I'm D5 and not even trying to climb any higher. I would have to play tempo / aggro deck to do so in reasonable time, but I despise them.
I haven’t played the game in a little while, but the reason Control decks don’t work in Hearthstone like they used to is due to every archetype (including control) becoming faster with higher impact cards and increased card draw. Tickatus was just an extension of that. He wasn’t THE problem, just a very visually obvious part of it.
Make no mistake though, Tickatus IS bad for the control archetype, especially for players who don’t play meta lists.

I have no doubt about that, but the point is, they were crying "Oh, I can't play my cool control deck, because of Tickatus!". But now Tickatus is gone, so where are all these "cool control decks"? :D. Those people were obviously playing slow, greedy and simply bad (in current, very fast paced and aggro oriented meta) decks and they were getting salty after losing to pretty much everything, but Tickatus was their scapegoat, so they were lying about him as the sole reason of their misery, "forgetting" about aggro and combo decks around...
Well, n00bs usualy cry because of tickatus and argue he is the reason of why control is dead, but when 11 out of 10 games are against aggro that kills you by turn 5....theres no control deck that can resist to that
If you tanked your MMR or stayed around at certain rank floors you faced a lot of Ticklocks. I used to play around with Highkeeper Ra Rogue and as my WR was probably around 45% it felt like I was in purgatory at Diamond 5 with Ticklock being the biggest matchup I would face followed by Stealth Rogue.
I think a lot of people who grind more optimised lists just avoided the experience and don’t have a clear picture of what the game was like to play back then for a lot of people (I assume).
Granted you can blame them for playing greedy decks, that’s a fair criticism, and a lot of the moaning was completely misguided, you’re right. I suppose I just understand their frustration, they probably just need to take a break though and/or try another game.

As for me they can play whatever they want, it's not my business. I can even understand their frustration, because Tickatus can be truly annoying to play against, but blaming him and only him (and not aggro / tempo / combo decks) is simply dishonest and pathetic. Now it's the best moment to point out their lies though, because Warlock is no more in the standard meta (for the most part), but I still don't see any new "cool control decks" that were supposed to come out without Tickatus being around. Just same old Control Priest and Control Warrior with pretty much the same playrate as before.

So you're in bronze too ? I mean that's kinda funny.
Anyway, why would anyone play control decks in bronze ? When you're at such low rank it is best to farm opponents with hyper aggro.
I generally never play control when I'm below gold 10. Then between gold 10 and diamond 5, I play mostly control.
Yyy... why would I be?

Im playing control warrior in diamond 2. I see a lot of control decks lately TBH.

And how about Il'gynoth? Losing 5 random cards on turn 8 is OP, but dying on turn 7-8 by OTK combo played from hand is not? Interesting...

Ceterum censeo classum magi esse delendam.
Then show us your legend rank number pls :))

My only hope is mess his hand with Illucia but is almost 100% lose too.
The problem is I play against Tickatus 10 times for each time I play vs combo DH, the deathrattle variation is much more prevalent now.

In adition, when you lose against warlock with your control deck, 90% of those loses are not because tickatus, they are because of jarraxus
