In my opinion, I don’t see a Priest stealing things flavorwise, since the priest should be like a “good” entity. Mechanically speaking, stealing the same cards you play is very annoying, is like playing a mirror match sometimes. Rogue “steals” random cards of the class, they can be anything!

I dont love the mechanic, but priest copying cards is a shadow mechanic.
Why people hates the steal mechanic of Priest but at the same time love Burgle Rogue?
While I don't personally have a distate for either, I would presume it's because Priest tends to take your cards specifically and often remove them from your own control, wit Mind control effects and similar. Just taking copies of your card as a rogue (and to a lesser extent priest in some cases) is much less of an annoyance.
I am personally the exact opposite and that is because rogue gets to shuffle an ungodly amount of stuff into his deck, automatically winning the fatigue game vs my fatigue decks (not an autowin MOST OF THE TIME because rogue kinda sucks at staying alive) while Priest (exept benedictus) does not
The problem that I feel like people have with priest is that it takes cards from your DECK which are generally way better than random class cards, also Priest is way better at surviving to use those cards
I feel like the "How dare you use my cards against me!" arguments reek of hypocrisy. If I thoughtsteal an OP bullshit card from you deck, then you were planning using the same card! Like someone said above, it is like a mirror match. If you don't get upset when the other control warrior plays his rattlegore, then why should you care if a priest does?
Also I literally have had a warlock bitch at me for burning his yshaarj with a thoughtstolen tickatus. Said it was completely unfair. Made me laugh.
Because Priest-theiving is actually good (or close enough to it) and Rogue is mostly bad. No one cared about Thoughtsteal when it was bad. No one cared about Shifting Shade. Folks cared about Drakonid Operative because it was a strong card (5/6 + Discover for 5).
Plus, plenty folks just hate Priests without a reason.
I personally love burgle rogue and at the same time despise playing thief priest. Every game is different with rogue. Which for myself is less tilting and more fun. Plus have made most of my friends from great games that could have either way. The thing with priest is their removal cards have no thought out into them whatsoever. Just my two cents for what it’s worth.

Priest takes it ridiculously far and can steal more cards more precise
*Priest continuously resurrecting minions*
Paladin : "By the holy f***"

Because Rogue thievin' is slow, expensive and random.
Priest thievin' specifically pulls your opponents cards, which they can then ridiculously discount.
It's truly apples to oranges, and comparing the two is of little value.

Priest usually takes copies of cards that are in your deck, whereas rogue takes random cards or discovered from the entire class.
Getting your own chosen cards used against you is more annoying that just using a card from your class.

such salt much BM.
I made nightmares about Entomb back in the days, when I was playing N'Zoth Pal. I haven't seen my Sylvanas die once against priest I think !
Meme comment about priest is that he beter uses your cards than you would do :)
Other important aspect is that priest also has mechanics that allows him to steal from the board...
Right? I always want to play an I'm You, but Stronger memedeck, but it is never very good...
