When completing a full set of weekly rewards won't even give me a full level, my enthusiasm will certainly pale towards the end of the season.
How many levels do you think this will be the case for? Considering you earn xp whilst also doing those rewards, I haven't done the maths so is it the last 10 levels etc?
The weekly quests give 6000 xp, and the first level you need more than that for is 38. Adding the dailies will push you over the top, though.

Which I think is when people play the least and they have the most trouble exciting the player base.
I really think they should reward players for sticking with the track, but the XP-Reward ratio just seems to... stay the same. With things just taking longer at the end of the track.
IMO the real problem is that completing quests and leveling don't *feel* very rewarding, regardless of whether it gives less/more/same amount of gold as before. You used to be instantly rewarded when completing a quest. Now, when you at the higher levels have to complete up to a week's worth of quests before getting your gold, it feels more grindy and less rewarding.
I am NOT f2p, I preorder and I bought the battle pass (mainly for the sweet Warrior skin). I don't want more gold, I want more *variety*.
The leveling rewards are just varying amounts of gold from lv 30 (or 35, don't remember) and onwards. Why not add to it in different ways, not more gold, but stuff like additional dust, golden cards and more tavern tickets. It would add variety to the track and make each level actually feel different. If level 36 and 37 give the same rewards, why do I have to grind more for the higher level?
as far as I can tell there's not a big payoff until you reach the higher levels and start collecting the gold. this heavily punishes the casual player.
Blizzard should take most of the gold from the level 50+ range and distribute it evenly throughout the lower levels. for example reduce the gold gained from 150 to just 50 once level 50 is reached, then feed the difference into the lower levels.
level 50+ should be more of a soft reward with diminishing returns rather than the main goal.
no cap, mate ... at least not yet. I am 46 and there is 7500 requirement... FeelsBadMan
But how?! I've been playing way too much recently and I'm level 33. Do you just rope all day while doing other things or what? Do you skip sleeping? BTW the scheme here says it's at level 43 you have 7500, but I guess that you are the best source to confirm if it's actually right :)

The reward is the same through out.
The XP-Gold ratio is about the same between level 1 and level 50.
If you feel your level is too low, I'm still on level 24 (no Tavern Pass).
As others demonstrate, you can advance faster if you are willing to put in the time. Good to know that it's possible.
But quite honestly, IDGAF. The system feels horrible to play. I could theoretically let the game run in the background and farm exp in AFK matches, but that's dumb. And having it run in the background just slows down my computer (or at least makes it go louder), and I still have to dedicate some attention to it, when the whole mess with the new system mostly killed my interest in the game.
I still have not opened a single Darkmoon pack and I have no real interest in doing so for the time being. Unchanged, I sit on 18100g (since November 11th, I entirely ignore the reward track). Sure, I could buy packs, play new decks (or mostly just updated old decks) etc., but I don't care. And with every passing day, that the developers and officials rather sit it out and leave the game in the current state, I can't see myself bringing up any motivation. Their ongoing silence on the matter just gives me the impression that I should seriously reconsider whether I even want to stay in the game or not, because this, apparently, is exactly what they want.
I only do quests in the most efficient way. I log in every three days, do the dailies and weeklies as fast as possible (if it's even possible, thanks to Arena and Old Gods quests), and sometimes, if I feel like it, I play a round or two of Battlegrounds, which is the only somewhat fun mode remaining for me (and even there I'm waiting for an update).
At this point, I'll just hold them up to their word, that the new system "should" get you as much or more than normal. Of course, I play WAY less than I used to, but doing only daily quests at the very least used to give you between 1500-1800g per month (30x50/60), and that's before we had weekly quests. And the events (whenever they come up) are supposed to help people catch up who fell behind.
Either they somehow, someday, follow up on these promises, or not. If the new system is strictly worse in the end, and it sure looks that way, I don't care anymore if I fall behind from playing less.
My only problem with the battlepass is that feels slow as f... I have played a lot of games with that mechanic and almost everyone just make the exp required for every level stays the same with that at least you can feel your progress daily

I got lucky with many friend requests.

My apologies for the bit of misinformation. I thought the cap came sooner then 50.
