None! I think Hearthstone's refusal to provide full access to the game at a set price, and instead using the CCG booster pack model to obscure its actual price, is unethical, and I'll never actually support that with money. It's fun though, so I'll keep playing Arena, and casual when I need to do some dailies and grind gold!
Unethical? It's a video game... I reserve the use of "unethical" for things like deforestation, slavery and payday loans.
Hearthstone has probably SAVED me money because I've enjoyed it so much I haven't bothered buying any other games for the past 8 months ;)
I'm not planning on investing money this time. Have lots of gold to suffice arena for a long time, and I'm not playing constructed except for ranked 20 cardbacks every season.
Still experience tells me I will dump some into it.

I'm freaking compulsive when it comes to spending money in games... this idea of "free to play" thing was aimed at retarded consumers like myself I'm sure, since it's a lot more profitable then just getting a one-time purchase or a monthly fee. I have all cards except 5 crappy Legendaries that I have no interest in crafting, but that could easily be arranged any time I wanted. All my cards in my deck are Golden (I play Control Warrior, so it's a bunch of Leggies and Epic/Rare cards mostly).
So I'm getting at least 3x 40 packs today, to start with. If I'm feeling lucky I might get more. I lost count of how many 40 packs I bought in the past, but it's funny, sometimes I'd get 5-7 Legendaries in a 40 pack (once I even got 2 golden), other times none. Also I have a friend who only managed to get King Crushes and Cenariuses, so sometimes I think it's messy the "randomness" of the boosters, so many duplicates at times, it's like GM just switch a button and says "ok from 10 a.m to 10:30 a.m Cenarius will be the 'thing' on NA boosters"...
After opening my boosters I will just disenchant duplicates and craft my own Golden versions of whatever I want (Iron Juggernaut, wait for me!).
I had spend 35 euro back in February, since then I gathered all the cards I need and now I have 3600 gold for 36 packs and 7000 dust to craft anything important.!

Oh, gotcha! I use it to describe "anything unethical."
Not spending any. Not worth it. I retain interest in the game only if rewards I get from packs are meaningful and not just duplicates of the stuff I have. And honestly, there's a lot of crap among new cards, so I'd better slowly get all the fun\useful stuff by crafting.
after seeing how much costed me a litle rock (les than a gram !!!) ,... i think i would freely paye at elast 200+euros on cards of a game i play all the days...
43 packs for 50 bucks sounds about right. Seeing as I don't collect for all the classes, that should be enough. Am I gonna have to dust my golden hogger is what i am wondering....
^^ this 100%

Let's put it this way: I'll be taking out a second mortgage on my house after GvG launches.

Probably buy a 40 pack for a good start, then supplement with arena from there with the gold i have.
There are 3 kinds of people in the world. Those that can count and those that can't.
Didn't they datamine that we're all getting 3 packs for free? Just sayin, don't forget to add that to your total! :)
Go check out my podcast: The Happy Hearthstone Podcast
I have like 5k gold so probably those 50 packs plus either $50 or $100 more depending on how my GvG collection is looking after the first purchase
"I hate Hearthstone. This game is a joke. Let's go play a real game." - Xixo on me beating him with his own face hunter list
Oh, gotcha! I use it to describe "anything unethical."
I have 2200 saved gold, ill buy 15 packs, so along with the 3 they are giving us for free, ill open 40 packs.

Nothing on release day - I'm going to wait 24 hours in case there's any problems with the shop. (I *will* play some arena, though.)
Then I'll be getting 40 packs. :)
I have enough gold for 28 packs, plus the 3 free, plus my arena pack = 32. We'll see what that plus 5835 dust gets me before buying more. :-)
Probably will buy another 40, though.
Feel free to add me if you play on NA! iMPose#1429
Same here :D

Well I don't feel so guilty anymore!
Unbowed. Unbent. Unbroken.

Probably as much as I need to get/craft the cards I want for the 2-3 classes I enjoy playing.
I'll see how it goes after I've spent the 3,5k gold I've saved.
I only do my dailys, and never play arena, so getting competative w/o buying some boosters would take ages.
Gonna buy 80 packs + the gold I have. Hopefully It will be enough for most of what I want. But I can't bring myself to spend more than that
