The main advantage that he gives is it's a card draw, which should provide you card advantage.  If that one cards trades for 2-3 of thiers, it is a huge win.  Plus you've gained more card advantage since the card did not come from your deck.

He's not a must have, but he's very good.

But in most midrange/aggro games, I do not want card draw from Kazakus - and Kazakus doesn't trade for 2 to 3 of theirs, it's almost always a 1 to 1 trade that Kaz is not winning.  The best result from Kaz is often clearing their board and summoning a 5/5.....second BEST results in just resetting the board but still at a tempo loss.  In midrange/aggro matchups, how can that be justified?

Important enough to have been an auto include in every competitive high lander deck out there.

Even if you don't get the effects you were hoping for, you would still get sweet effects that can tip the game in your favor; Kazakus alone has won me many games, and that is just in standard. In Wild he is absolutely bonkers with brann.

Yes I get that it's been an auto include in lists thus far.  That doesn't mean there is no room to discuss it as NOT being an auto include.
1 to 1? Then you are doing something wrong. At the very least it's 2 for 1.  You are getting a character on the board and most likely killing or sheeping at least one of theirs. That's a worst case. I didn't mean card draw in that you want to choose the draw 2 cards option, but that the card you get from Kaz is a card that was not in your hand, so that's always a card draw.  Regardless, if you are not killing at least one of theirs, and getting a character on board, then there is a problem.

As a non-native speaker: odd attack value means what?

Their attack is not divisible by 2. So attack values would have to be 1,3,5,7,9, etc.

I put one card in my deck and I'm now 9-1 against Jade Druid.  Wish I played more of them.

posted a message on Hearthstone meta is consecutively polarizing and it's not fun

Arena has been quite fun while the meta sorts itself out.  Yes, there are still discover cards, but you don't see decks built around it. Trying to predict a few cards is fun.  I understand the frustration with predicting what they will get every turn.  Try arena for a bit.  The meta will calm down in another week or two, then build a new deck to counter what the meta is and wreck house.

posted a message on When can you actually start judging your deck?

Depends on the meta. I have days that I lose 10 straight. I quit, then the next day I win 10 straight with the same deck.

Usually if I lose 3 in a row, I make a change.  But it's based on the meta.  Were all 3 matches vs aggro? Were all 3 matches vs control?  Sometimes I change and still lose 3, then change again.  It's about finding the right deck for the meta during that hour. Sometimes it changes quite a few times during the same day.

posted a message on Why is the MMR so fake? Matchmaking is rigged!

I experience this all the time. What's even worse is that there are days, that I cannot win.  I lose 6 straight, go to arena for 0-3, Go back to ranked and lose 4 straight. Punch the computer and go to bed.

Next day: Win 10 straight with the same deck.  I haven't figured out why there are streaks like that.  I've learned that I just need to get off that day, when I'm having one and wait for a day or two, Then the win streaks happen again.  Usually happens about twice per month. /shrug

posted a message on Turn 2 Rogue Quest completed in ranked play

The deck may not be broken, but it seems very unfair.  There isn't much you can do about their play.  Unless you just want to play aggro all them time.  Was playing Healadin. Beat everything except that deck, so it was ok, but I can tell you that in 10 straight games against Quoge, they completed the quest by turn 5 at the latest.  As early as turn 2. Maybe I'm really unlucky, but 10 straight by turn 5 seems like they don't have that many bad draws.  I'm not angry. Just frustrating that I could never get a win streak since every 3rd game was against Quoge.

Yes, I could change decks, but if I beat everything except that one deck, seems like a bad idea to change.  Just a bad streak for me I'm sure.

posted a message on Are we really better than we think? Impact of rank floors on rank distribution

I log in on other accounts once or twice per month, just to hit 20 to get the card back.  I sometimes level them up to 15, but don't really try.  I would say that I probably play 10-20 games per month on those accounts.  If I remember right, rank 17 put me in the top 48% of players.  Seems ridiculous that I can be that high playing so few games.

If Blizz really wanted you to know where you stood, they would not count those accounts.  But they count them all, so you can feel good about yourself and keep playing.  If they told you that 80% of players were better than you, then you would probably quit.  It's a mind game.

posted a message on Forever stuck at rank 15....

Your homebrew deck is probably better to get higher ranks.  If you are playing a netdeck, then good players know what card you are going to play each turn, so you have to be really good to beat them.

I've been playing a healing pally, just because most people don't know which card is coming each turn.  I can tell by the way some people play, that some people know what's coming, but the majority of people make misplays, due to not knowing.

It's the pally deck that was on this website. I definitely didn't create it.  The only thing that has beaten it consistently is quest rogue.  They complete the quest by turn 5 every time i play them. /shrug

Got to legend, then never cared to grind again.  Usually hit 5 each season, but depends on my time. Some weeks I don't have time to play at all.

posted a message on Yong Woo: Easier to get Wild Cards, Deckslots, Promo Heroes are Coming Back

This doesn't hurt the game.  Yugioh has done this over and over and the game continues on.

I'm the guy that paid $300 each for needle worms to be able to have fun and play them in a tournament.  A couple of years later, they released them as commons.  I didn't feel cheated since I had 2 years of fun times watching people get frustrated playing against them.  My hobby money gives me fun for however long until I move on to something else.  There's enough people that feel this way, that the game would be fine.

If you dust normals to dust the golden, then you get a refund of what you spent to make the golden. So, you basically get the gold version for free. That's the advantage.
