It has been a little over a week now and I'm wondering if I should still wait or start crafting decks. Have you crafted anything and what kind of deck (competitive meta deck or meme one)? Or are you still waiting for the meta to settle (if it's not) or maybe potential nerfs?
I want to craft because I'm eager to try new stuff and don't want to play "old" decks.
On the other hand I don't want to invest my dust and gold into powerful decks that might be nerfed, and in the way like Kingsbane Rogue was (+40 dust only).
Well, when they said there will be no emergency nerfs, I just disenchanted the preorder duplicates and crafted Tempo Mage, Pure Paladin and Big Warrior - the only decks I wanted, and I'm having a blast playing them.
Exactly, I don't understand the logic behind waiting. The most fun part of the expansion is when it is released when people are trying out new things. If you wait until the meta "settles," then you will be playing in a stale meta. I guess it matters whether you want to play the game for fun or to climb.
To answer OP's question, I would craft any of the neutral legendaries since they seem to fit in multiple tier 2-3 decks that probably won't get nerfed (except Keymaster Alabaster, that card sucks right now). Besides that, I think we would have to know what type of decks and classes you like playing.
well I already opened or crafted most of the good, meta defining or deck defining legendaries or epics printed on this expansion (opened 140 packs so I have all commons and rares). I am missing a couple legendaries and that I still want but don't have the immediate dust to get them righ now, specifically Ras Frostwhisper, 1 Potion of Ilussion, Soulciologist Malicia, Sphere of Sapience and Headmaster Kel'Thuzad, which would add to 6.8k dust and I have it but technically don't.
What I mean is I haven't clicked the mass disenchant button (as I said I don't super need those legendaries and the epic but they would allow me to play some other decks, mostly for fun) so I'm sitting at 4.2k dust on that cause I don't want to press it and then the nerfs come in a week and I could potentially lose a lot of dust. I also have like 2k in extra gold cards (don't care about cosmetics so I always dust golden cards that I already own 2 regular copies of) so I could simply press the button and also dust extra gold cards and get all the remaining cards but as of right now I'm just waiting for nerfs as I can pretty much play 99% of meta decks anyways.

Well not everyone has the resources to just play everything and/or whatever they want so they want to wait and not just jump into the first deck that looks fun or OP cause it might end up being total garbage or it could end up getting nerfed and generating huge dust losses.
Don't follow up destructive and troll opinions to craft anything. Most of stuff u craft become useless due nerfs on an archetype or when the next exp comes. This one is very OP and will be a lot of nerfs. Follow your mind, follow ur guts. Not everyone has a dad to buy bundle for us. GL

Yes some of us have a job so we can enjoy playing HS and other games
Other players have different collections, playstyles, gold and dust resources, everything! You do you man, if you see something you like, go get it. Don't let anyone else make you second guess yourself.
I crafted Jandice Barov to add to my Highlander Mage that I ran last expansion. I used Galakrond Warlock with no Soul Fragments which also doesn’t use any legendaries from this new expansion to hit Standard legend this month. Point is... I generally used what I opened already.
However, once the first set of nerfs roll out, I’ll hit the mass disenchant button and craft what I want. Better to not waste your dust on decks that may only be good or OP for a couple of weeks.
I wouldn't hit mass disenchant ever any more. Just dust your extras one by one until you have all the dust you need for the cards that you want to craft and sit on the rest of the extras waiting for future nerfs. As we learned from AoO, nerfs can still come very late in an expansion so start by disenchanting the 'safest' cards first and wait on the others
This depends a lot on how much dust you have. I had a good stash of dust laid by when the expansion dropped, so I went ahead and crafted Infiltrator Lilian for my Tempo Rogue deck and a few epics as well. But I'm holding off crafting any more until the first round of nerfs. So in my case, I was able to compromise and craft some fun stuff and hold the rest of my dust back. If you have a good sum of dust, maybe you want to do the same. If you don't have much, maybe hang onto it.
But also, like a poster said above, you do you. You have to decide how to balance what's fun now (craft stuff and play it) vs rewarding later (hold onto your dust).
This says it all. I start feeling like a dragon sleeping on my dusty pile of gold but, even if I could craft all decks I want, I tend to wait for the meta to settle and ideally the first round of nerfs... Just crafted Kreen (because he sounded nice in a quest hunter deck) and secret passage (Kingsbane new friend)...
- I won't craft anything first week for sure, it's too risky, I'll just wait for a bit to figure out what's good
- Alright two weeks have passed, and now I know what's strong, but there's likely going to be a nerf patch coming soon, so I'll just wait for that
- Okay the nerfs are in, but now we have to figure out what's good again after the meta shift, I'm not about to craft stuff that doesn't see play for a long time to come
- Okay, so now we're half way through the expansion, the nerfs have happened, the mata has settled afterwards, and we know now what's good and not, but I still have to figure out what exactly I want to craft, what decks/classes I want to play and not to mention a second wave of nerfs is likely to happen, so I think I'll wait just a little bit longer
- Okay, now that the meta is figured out, there won't be any more nerfs and I know exactly what I want to craft, but we're only one month away from the next expansion and the announcement just dropped! I'll only be able to play with the stuff I craft for one month and when the next expansion drops it might become unplayable
- Just wait for the next expansion then, I'll start crafting then for sure
- Go back to the first point
Every. single. time.

So, yeah. My question above... Wait or no?
Im still waiting. After the nerfs
I'm still waiting as some of my decks didn't really need an update to win games.
still waiting to see what will be the next meta/deck archetypes
Well, when they said there will be no emergency nerfs, I just disenchanted the preorder duplicates and crafted Tempo Mage, Pure Paladin and Big Warrior - the only decks I wanted, and I'm having a blast playing them.
I'm just wastin' all my dust to shaman garbage legendaries for 2 years.
You guys wait ?? And miss all the fun ?
Go craft the deck you want bro, waiting is boring

i crafted cards that at the moment seems powerfull or they are played in lot of archetypes

Wait...buy more packs and wait.

Don't craft anything. Wait for the new expansion.
