My question is "why do people think Hearthstone is F2P?" It is not really, and that is okay, since you dont buy the game. Hearthstone is NOT F2P if you want to be competitive or if you want to play multiple decks, unless you are a top arena player.
I fucking hate when there's some random f2p player complaining when they have to buy something. Like holy shit they have to make money somehow. I'm guessing OP is 13 or so cuz a normal adult can see this
Preach. Blizzard just gave a whole class that dominates the meta right now for free, yet they want more. I may not agree with a lot of things Blizzard does, but at least I'm adult enough to know that this is a business venture, not a charity.
Screw it. Let's make more unreasonable requests. I wish Blizzard would let us dust all the free uncraftable stuff they have given us over the years. #mycardsmychoice.
Truly obnoxious replies. I would expect nothing less from this community
There is nothing wrong with wanting or being able to craft individual cards from adventures. The only reason it’s not allowed is so you are forced to spend more money on the entire adventure.
I’m kinda sick of hearing the “they have to make money somehow” argument as if they don’t release three huge sets every year that require $150 or more investment just to get SOME of the cards. If you really think Blizzard needs to make more money off adventures than you are just an idiot. After a set period of time from adventure release, you should be allowed to craft the individual cards. This way people who want the adventure can buy it and play it immediately and Blizzard can make a profit from it. After a while, the cards should become available to craft.
No what's obnoxious is people wanting their cake and eating it too. Even developing adventures costs Blizzard money in man hours idiot. If people wanna be F2P, more power to them. I don't begrudge them. I will however begrudge the fact they want to be on an even keel with players who do in fact spend money for the product. But that's the welfare mentality of society today. Gimme, gimme, share the wealth even though F2P contributes nothing to the games future development.
If a person doesn't want to pony up for an adventure, fine. Wait for rotation and craft it in Wild. If you want it now, pay for the privilege like the rest of us. People act like holding a job is hard. I've been working since I was 10 to buy the things my mom couldn't buy me herself.
Idk mate but for f2p player saving a decent amount of gold for packs that will take more than a month and then having to save up 700 for chapter is pretty insane. Seems pretty ******** if you ask me, atleast make the adventures cheaper, not be 700 for 1 chapter or if you could craft the cards to cost as you were crafting them golden idk. Lets say you have taken 2-3 month brake from HS and you return 20 days till the next expansion how can you save soo much gold
im f2p player and i have all adventures unlocked and have most of the cards for any deck i want to create, you just want to get everything for free in no time, just invest your time in a game and you will get that, crying in forum for easy way is not an option
Lol look at all this assholes responding to your post! I have the same problem. I don't care about single player content and of the cards of this adventure i care about 2 of them the 1/2 for warrior wich is rare or common cant remember and the dragon for hunter which is rare. I couldnt care less about the other cards and the fact that you cant craft them is retarded.
I want to play enrage warrior but for me to that i need risky skipper and thats in chapter 3. Now for a somehat returning player saving this much amount of gold + saving enought for card packs is insane. I dont want to spend 20 euro for just 1 rare card.
There are certain RULES and you HAVE TO OBEY THEM and not babbling bullshit about BS.

You wait. If you've taken a break and come back then you save your gold and grind the exact same amount as someone who had to grind for gold before the adventure was released. If you don't want to wait, put a bit of actual money into the game. It costs money to develop and maintain, you know that right?
There's not some charity that supports game developers so you can consume as much as you like for free.
Why should anyone or anything cater to you at all?
Why is it that freebie players are usually the most entitled? What service do you provide in life for others at no charge? I'm going to hazard a guess and say none.
Or why don't you design and develop your own game and cater to all the free to player people such as yourself and see how you like the constant abuse you'll get?

Then you don't get them, it's really simple. What are you struggling with? My 11 year old understands the model of free to play and he doesn't complain about it. Think about that for the second before you inevitably shout and swear because you aren't getting your own way.
Yikes who said free, would be really nice if you can CRAFT them with the fucking dust you made. If blizzard thinks this is the way to go sorry to say but it aint it . Guess someone is salty he bought the dumb adventure
You're right! This clearly isn't the way! That is why they have been selling adventures since year one. They are delusional because this CLEARLY isn't the way to go. Username checks out.
Great job at calling someone salty after opening a complain thread.
Ofc thar you're not supposed to be able to craft adventure cards. It is called good business. How would they make money from selling the adventure if players could just craft the cards?
bro first up, watch your talk, there is no need to express your self like that.
secondly, all other adventures with card rewards you can craft those cards without buying the adventure, so dont being able to craft the cards of this adventure doesn´t make sense.
i agree with joker, you should be able to craft those cards without buying any chapter.

You've missed on crucial factor in regards to crafting adventure cards: All of them have rorated into the wild format. You couldn't have crafted them prior while they were legal in standard.
Exactly! People are being really rude on here today. It's a legitimate point. If someone wants one specific card, I do think it's pretty unreasonable to have to buy the entire adventure. There should be an option to unfavourably acquire individual cards (perhaps twice the normal dust cost)

That is still a bad business decision. In order to maximize the profits a company must charge for the whole thing. There is already a loss in profits because you can get the whole thing for gold so a portion of the playerbase who are swimming in gold will get it "for free". At an unfavourable crafting cost the company risks further financial losses.
Here is an example: Timmy is saving gold for the new set. He currently has 3000 gold and he is aiming at 5000 gold so that he doesn't need to pre-order. He isn't a stranger to pre-orders but if he can avoid them he will thus he is saving gold. An adventure comes out and now he has the possibility to spend his gold on it. Here are the possible scenarios that can impact the company's profits:
A) Timmy buys it with cash. More money is made. Mission accomplished.
B) Timmy buys it with gold. Now he won't have the gold to buy 50 packs so he will preorder. More money is made so this is even better!
C) Timmy can craft the cards that he wants. He doesn't buy the adventure bit just crafts cards instead. He also saves up 5000 gold so he skips buying the preorder. No money is made resulting in utter failure.
Exactly! People are being really rude on here today. It's a legitimate point. If someone wants one specific card, I do think it's pretty unreasonable to have to buy the entire adventure. There should be an option to unfavourably acquire individual cards (perhaps twice the normal dust cost)
Why? The cards are readily available for you to acquire with in-game currency.
If adventures could only be bought with actual money, which was once the case, you may have had a point. But it would still be entirely up to Blizzard if they wanted a stronger P2W-model.
Right now, this argument amounts to nothing more than whining.
This adventure in particular actually rubs me the wrong way. Every other expansion has came with one or the other that you had to pay for with either packs or adventure being the whole expansion. With this one they gated a handful of cards, and put them behind an extra $20 paywall. Not only that, but it put 1-2 cards for a lot of “good” decks that you had to buy it. Yes I understand companies need to make money, but I also understand that sometimes gaming companies do more now than they ever have to maximize pockets at the expense of player experience or retention. To me, the adventure felt like a double dip. They got into my pockets once with DoD,( which I dropped all my gold too) And then I see Rotnest Drake, and have to get it for the current deck I’m playing. So really my pre order was $20 more to get the “full expansion” experience. Not only that, but it was an adventure. The % of people who do the content more than once, is so small to the people who play it once, get the cards, and never even highlight the tap again, it makes me wonder why they would ever pour actual resources making one ( never mind they also had battlegrounds, a new expansion, an upcoming expansion, and Demond hunter all to deal with during the time they were also making this). And anyone who is going to say “I replay them constantly”, you are the minority here. So now if I’m a new or returning player and want to be competitive from the get go, there is an extra $20 on top of the entry cost. And sometimes for what feels like only one card. I believe if polled, the large majority of active players would have just rather the cards be in packs. The only real benefit to players is the fact you get a good amount of dust for all the cards that are bad or you don’t need.
I understand the struggle of f2p all to well, I was one during Naxx and LoE. I agree that you shouldn't be able to just out rite craft the cards, but man.. DoD pre purchase + Gala Adventure is a bit on a steep side. Before we had a lot of time in between expansions and adventures, but this double smack on a wallet.. I understand that f2p did not have fun AT ALL. In fact, as a customer I did not have fun at all too lol. Very "greedy" vibes detected. I'm happy that at least I don't have to buy AoO single player stuff, step in the right direction I guess.
I want to play enrage warrior but for me to that i need risky skipper and thats in chapter 3. Now for a somehat returning player saving this much amount of gold + saving enought for card packs is insane. I dont want to spend 20 euro for just 1 rare card.
Well GOOD NEWS! For that price you actually get a lot more then 1 rare card.
While I agree it's rough to be competitive or even just try new fun decks as they come along as a F2P player, that's just how it is. If 99% of the adventure doesn't interest you, I can only assume the bulk of the expansion was equally useless. So why bother spending hard saved gold on a bunch of packs at all? Just craft as needed and save the gold for what can't be crafted.
2800 gold get the entire adventure. You get 5 legendaries and a bunch of 2x epics, it's more than you can expect from 28 packs.
Though if you just want a few specific cards it might suck.
If they were craftable, I would never have purchased the whole adventure (used money), as only Rotnest Drake, Skipper, Manasaber, Bomb Wrangler, Bully and Amazing Reno see reasonable play and I don't even play some of the classes. At least for now.
The model sucked, but we were warned before hand.
