Exactly! People are being really rude on here today. It's a legitimate point. If someone wants one specific card, I do think it's pretty unreasonable to have to buy the entire adventure. There should be an option to unfavourably acquire individual cards (perhaps twice the normal dust cost)
Dude calm down. They bear no effect on the gameplay, don't matter at all, the art is still freely available elsewhere and they've already explained why they made the changes.
I'm pretty skeptical. It's called Mistress of pain, first of all.
Edit: Are they freaking serious. They actually did it.
I guess it's because they would rather have a female character portrayed as a queen (position of power) rather than a mistress (a servant.) Honestly this change makes no realistic difference but it's more in keeping with changing times and honestly I'm all for it. Any new change to Hearthstone is welcome at this point.
Am I the only one who is excited for a fresh new look to parts of the classic set? Some of these cards looked really old and janky. I know many of them didn't see much play, but it's cool and interesting! More in line with the whimsical nature of Hearthstone these days as it strays away from its WoW roots.
Plagues aren't keywords? It'll probably end up being like a Spellstone mechanic where every class gets a unique one or something. Or it's just a one off thing and the presenter rambled too much about it.
I agree that Barnes is a bit much. It was cool for a time but should be reconsidered I feel. Thing is, there are plenty of wild cards that I feel could do with an adjustment.
For Barnes, I think he could totally be a 5 mana 4/5 with the same effect, just to control how early he comes out on the board.
I actually don't understand the logic behind this card. Why does it exist like this? A potentially powerful effect in the late game, but it will always be overshadowed by cheaper or more powerful cards. It's true many of these are rotating out of standard, but even shield block is a thing... This could've at least started with more armour so that it isn't a dead draw in the late game. Make it like a 4 mana gain 5 armour upgrade each turn and at least then it has some potential.. This is honestly one of the worst cards I've ever seen, like it's up there with purify and at least purify was fun.
I completely agree with these points. To people saying that you can just 'not watch the stream' I say, that's true - but consider the fact that people are excited to get home and see new cards being revealed by the people who should be most passionate about them. People really look forward to these, they're allowed to feel disappointed by things.
Peter Whalen was the only remotely good thing about an otherwise incredibly poor reveal stream - and I agree, I think this is by far the worst Hearthstone reveal stream ever. I am excited for the Rise of Shadows expansion but I feel this reveal stream was one of the worst things to show the fans. Now I understand that technical problems arise, and I think they all did a good job of calmly dealing with the bugs involving the Lackey mechanic, but the main problem was just how boring it was to watch. I loved seeing the new cards, but I should be feeling excited after watching the stream. The constant roping was just unbearable, I felt like shouting at my screen 'just play your f**king cards!'. It was incredibly frustrating to watch two people I've never seen before, boring me to death and I even decided to skip forward a few seconds every once in a while just to keep the pacing pleasant to watch.
One of them at the start made the excellent point that this expansion is a brilliant time for new players to get into Hearthstone, but I can't help but imagine how awful their first experience with the game must be if it's this stream.
I'm not even going to bother talking about how Cora was generally a poor choice for this stream, but she was also one of the contributing problems I had with the stream.

If this is a troll it is an excellent one. No do not under any circumstances disenchant that card. It is insanely versatile and strong

I like both pretty equally actually, but they're very different games

To be fair though I'm looking forward to this and I don't really care about a tournament mode, but as for the average player I have no idea

I mean, surely you just Plot Twist a couple of times and you're most of the way there?

yeah to be honest, her deadpan delivery and sarcastic style is actually quite strong in my opinion - but yeah nothing will ever top the Brode :D
