1. Conjurer's Calling will be nerfed before October 2. Octosari will be played in aggro decks 3. Mogu Cultist's WR will be no more than 35% 4. There will be a decent combo deck with Blatant Decoy 5. People will forget that Hunter is a class 6. Choose One Druid will be T1-T2 7. Holy Ripple won't be played 8. Dr. Boom, Mad Genius will be nerfed/put to Wild this expansion 9. Hyena Alpha isn't going to be as meta-defining as people think 10. Overflow won't see play
1. I do think Zoo Priest will be strong(T2 imo), but it will be a zoo priest that doesn't use the quest. The reason being you have to run cards that are bad for the quest to be activated as well as the quest takes too long to activate.
Based on the current standard card collection, and the existing metagame, these are my predictions for the best Uldum’s cards (in no particular order):
1. Conjurer's Calling will be nerfed before October 2. Octosari will be played in aggro decks 3. Mogu Cultist's WR will be no more than 35% 4. There will be a decent combo deck with Blatant Decoy 5. Ancient Mysteriesis OP and not in secret archetype but in conjurer (specially cyclone one). Will be nerfed "to add a random secret to your hand. It costs 0" and will not see play again.
1) Highlander deck won't work, tier 3 at best. When you compare Reno Jackson and Kazakus to the new cards it's clearly not worth the investment
2) Bazaar Burglary Rogue will be very good, you can achieve the quest early and then have a 3/2 weapon for the rest of the game. It remind me of good old Odd Rogue. Plus Pharaoh Cat is the perfect card for a deck lacking good one drop.
9) Cloud Prince is a busted card. You can just play Ancient Mysteries and wait on turn 5 to play the secret and this for some powerful tempo turn.
10) Quest Druid is potentially good, but the lack of win condition really hurt. Overflow + Anubisath Defender is a great combo though.
That's all, I can't wait to see how wrong I was.
20 days after, it's time to see how good predictions were.
1) Wrong, both mage and hunter proves to be very strong highlander deck.
2) Wrong and Right. Quest rogue is bad, but Pharaoh Cat is a stable for rogue deck.
3) Wrong. Highlander Hunter is the best hunter deck, but Secret Hunter is second, and Hyena Alpha is played in both, so I was a bit right.
4) Right. Even if people still play Murloc Paladin, it doesn't have that much impact in legend ladder, where they is more Reno Mage and Control Warrior that destroy them.
5) Right. But I thought it will be in big spell mage and not Reno Mage, guess it still count.
6) Wrong, but after the nerf it will be. And Combo Priest was a hard deck to figure.
7) Right. Quest Warlock is Tier 5, if less.
8) Right and Wrong. Bloodsworn Mercenary have good potentiel, but Aggro Warrior doesn't suit the meta. But Control Warrior is far more played than Bomb Warrior.
9) Wrong, but still think this is a busted card, it just that Secret Mage doesn't have enough early game tempo and good secret to make up for this.
10) Right. Quest druid have seen some play, but only the ones with actual win conditon (Malygos or Nomi) have made it to the top.
So far it's not bad, almost 50/50. Big mistake was on Highlander deck not being viable because I thought Bomb Warrior will still be on meta.

f2p btw
I don't have too many wild predictions
1. I do think Zoo Priest will be strong(T2 imo), but it will be a zoo priest that doesn't use the quest. The reason being you have to run cards that are bad for the quest to be activated as well as the quest takes too long to activate.
2. Quicksand Elemental will be the best non-legendary neutral in the set.
3. Arcane Flakmage, Cloud Prince, and Ancient Mysteries are so unbelievably strong, it's stupid. I'm not sure there is a deck for them right now. But good god, I fear the day.
4. Pyroblast + Naga Sand Witch + Alexstrasza will be a combo in some deck.
Octosari is gonna a create accidents.
I see a dekkster follower here

3. Naga Sand Witch.
4. Bazzar Burglary.
5. Corrupt the Waters
6. EVIL Totem.
7. Restless Mummy.
8. Hyena Alpha.
9. Frightened Flunky.
10. EVIL Recruiter.
Tier 2 at most
Love is pain but I'll endure that pain if that's what it takes. 🖤
Holy Ripple only in full Northshire
