Based on the releases, it looks like Paladin got the end of the stick 3 Expansions in a row. No direction for the class, just printing whatever is coming on their mind. 1 Reborn minion at the moment to support the Quest and Sir Finely is unplayable unless there is more non-duplicate support (Other than the Neutral Legendary). How difficult is it for them to choose a direction and stick with it? Warriors are getting a new Archetype that is supported with every card they revealed while they have Mech and Bomb warrior, like is this a joke right now? Am I missing the big picture here or is the developer team lacking creativity?
Paladin got some really good murloc cards and the Quest. Yeah, Blizzard is giving all sorts of stuff to paladin, but I don't think Paladin would be unplayable next expansion, it will be probably be in the same spot as Shaman is right now, not top tier but also not Priest tier.
STILL OMG! What is this terrible, terrible world we live in where I don't have all the information I want RIGHT NOW?
Somebody help me!
Woke up on the wrong side bud? How about you actually express your argument in a logical way other than looking like an ignorant moron.
Agree with me and my whining or you're a moron.
Classic hearthpwn.
He doesn't have to agree with me, hell where did I state I want him to be on my side. I asked for an argument not a moronic statement like that which doesn't benefit any party but his trolling soul.
clearly its still punishment for odd/even pally that plagued us for a year+.
I hope thats not the case, printing those cards to begin with was way too restrictive for future designs and as we saw they HoF them. I only played Even Control Paladin when that was around, now they just want to make the class only a rush archetype.
The argument is that: (1) we haven't seen the full set yet; (2) they have been introducing the same amount of directions they've given other classes; (3) you just don't like what they are.
Most thought Secret Paladin would be better than it was. It didn't end up being very good, but it doesn't mean that it wasn't a "direction." In this set, there's an obvious aggressive package that would work with secrets.
This set also gives a pretty open ended quest direction. [Remember, people complain when you "force" archetypes on them.] Mech paladin is an obvious "direction" that paladin got. And there is the heal direction which worked, but not in the way it was anticipated.
So yeah - paladin has just as much "direction" as most classes. They haven't been great, so you don't like them and pretend they don't exist.
FWIW, because sets are designed in advance, the early rotation of Baku and Genn implacted some classes way more than others, and Paladin is among them. For example, Mage basically lost all of Rastakahn.

The argument is pretty clear even for a non english speaker like me, it is wait until the end of the reveals. There's nothing moronic about that, moron.
Well on one hand I do agree, I main Paladin and have been confused by the Dragon/Heal/Mech/Big-Minion/Murloc/Handbuff variations at times. But I still find it to be the most fun and intriguing class I think partly because of that variation, I mean now they are pushing Reborn and Murloc again which genuinely excites me more than anything, especially for cards Sir Finley of the Sands, Tip the Scales, and Making Mummies. The other cards have been pretty odd fits especially in the context of the legendaries. We obviously still have to wait and see, but I must say, I'm both optimistic and excited for Paladin this expansion.
As you mentioned, the Quest has an open ended direction, but a restrictive one such that we probably will not get this keyword again later on (Only if they considered it as Lifesteal). Secret Paladin never took off against Control and other strong tempo classes. They printed support for Healadin and Dragadin with such little details that never took off. With the reveals for Paladin right now, we got 3 1-Health minions that work on the side of aggro, an epic spell that works with Murlocs, a singleton legendary and the quest for Reborn. When you play other classes, you get the feel of the class and not a put everything together and hope it works. None of the other classes have received cards that didn't help them for past expansions, everything synced. So why make the Quest restrictive and about a new Keyword rather than about Heal or Dragons?

I am also a Non-English speaker so that doesn't out weigh the fact that the comment was not needed. He could've simply said what he just did after which was professional and at the same time educational. Wait until the end of reveals? The class has almost 80% of its cards revealed with no direction but only randomness, wait for the last 4 cards to decide the fate of the class or look at the other classes getting power house cards for expansions while Paladin struggles an entire year to even get a decent Archetype up other than OTK, which was printed with (1) card support.
This thread's getting a little overheated. Let's "reign in the flamin'" a little, please. I'd prefer not to lock it and let the discussion continue.
Cheers! :-)
My intentions is to get others view on why Paladin has had no definition for a while now, not trying to troll or flame others. Thank you for letting it continue, I appreciate that.

They have no clue what they are doing, they are just throwing shit at the wall and hope it sticks. This years expansions have been pretty trash
Guess it will be Shirvallah, the Tiger OTK all over again :)

Honestly that's what its looking like right now, there is no flow for the class, just randomness.

I interpreted it as wait until all the fucking cards are released before you throw a fucking bitch fit.
