I disagree totally, playing any kind of Control deck against Control Warrior is frustrating. Who is going to Hecklebot the opponent's Elysianna ? Who will get better cards with Elysianna ? if you can even get there in the first place. I'm playing Control Shaman atm, but it's just very frustrating to be completely outclassed by Boom. It's just so much better than Hagatha.
And those being kind of the only Control decks right now (handlock is more of a midrange deck imo), no, Control vs Control has never been less fun. Midrange deck is what is fun to play, for me, this expansion.
Handlock does work like that, u put a threat on board every turn. As i said, all pros will agree that it isnt a control deck and u will for sure lose alot more with it if u threat it like that. The name handlock is from an old deck that started back when there wasnt any expansions, the deck was a proactive deck that pushed alot of damage on the midgame, if u put alot of control cards in it, it will become a control deck, but it will no longer be able to carry the name handlock.
Handlock is a control deck, it just plays more proactively against other conventional control decks like Control Warrior. Doomsayer, Shadowflame, Hellfire, Siphon Soul, Omega Agent, Lord Godfrey etc. are control cards. Or which lists are you referring to? I don't know where your claim "all pros will agree that it isn't a control deck" comes from, but I'm interested to hear the names of these pros.
I have to agree. Most guides for Handlock call it a control deck. You have to have a pretty twisted, narrow definition of "control" to claim otherwise.

That's so not true lol. Typical bad player rant. I win most of my mirrors before I even get to play Elysiana. And when they play Elysiana, I still generally have 7-8 cards in my deck, because those bad players who don't think skill matters, I guess they just forgot they shouldn't draw cards in this matchup. Turn 3 shield block, much skill such coin flip, LOL.
Also never seeing anyone with Baleful Banker, maybe start with this, remove this card from your deck, it'll get better.
You're right, I misspoke. It's not skillbased outside of rank 25. I don't know where you found players who are drawing cards in a control warrior mirror but it sure as hell isn't a rank where stats are relevant
I could have guessed you would say that. This is outdated though, you should say I'm rank 50.
Get good now. You didn't lose you mirror because of a coin flip, period.
Then teach me, senpai! I want to learn the skill to queue into noobs who draw cards in control warrior mirrors so I can win all games 100% too

Always possible. But conversely: who's going to get a second (or third with a lucky Blazing Invocation) Elysianna to gain a massive fatigue advantage?
Warriors are tough, but Shaman definitely has some advantages.

Well, I don't know if you really played this match-up yet, but it always comes down to double Elysianna on each side. First time I played this match-up I thought "hey let's play a third Elysianna so I win against double Elysiannas" but after the 2nd Elysianna you actually already reach the 50 turns limit.
So there's not point in trying to out-fatigue Warrior since you are going up to the 50 turns limit if you both survive that long, but you usually don't. Not because you die from fatigue damage, that ain't happening because of the said 50 turns, but because over that much time, you just get outvalued sooo hard by Dr.Boom that you can't hold.
Leading up to what I say : either it's a draw after 50 turns, either I get outvalued very very slowly (I know it sounds like i'm actually in pain haha), or someone Hecklebot out either Elysianna or the Banker/Shudderwock. Or we go toe to toe, but someone gets Bomb + Banker + Grommash things like that with his Elysianna while I get Windfury spell and 2/3s xD. The random part of Elysianna is uuuuh.

bomb warrior is the new meta

To those who say Handlock is not true control, i shet on your statement. Fight me.
control vs control is "who built the greedier deck that otherwise is complete trash?"

Join me at Out of Cards!
The only remotely viable control deck is warrior and variations of bomb warrior. Nothing else comes close.
That's what happens when you break the game though.
Bomb warrior and tempo rogue will dominate the meta for the next 2 years without nerfs.
The best aggro deck ever and the best control deck ever.
Would you please share deck code? I'm looking for good control shaman deck. I hope it will be new Control lock :D
