You do realize this is like the shortest they have ever done from starting reveal to release, right? This is by far the best. While I do agree letting streamers play early was a bit of a killjoy for me, and let down some deckbuilding ideas that I love for the beginning of each expansion, but tbh it’s my own fault for watching it. It changes nothing if you just didn’t watch.
Facts don't affect his feelings, I guarantee it.
On the subject of streamers getting to play the new set earlier, two things to keep in mind:
1. This is 100% fair, in that anyone who wants to put forward the immense amount of time and effort it takes to build a solid audience around this game will be able to enjoy the same perks. It is 100% fair that different amounts of involvement and effort result in different rewards.
2. The first few hours of a new set are always fun to watch . . . and by that I mean watch what streamers have the biggest audience so that you know card-for-card what the majority of your opponents will be copying. At least now, with the constructed decks already observed, I will be able to snipe copied decks from the first moment.

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
No one can ever, ever win with this fucking community.
There's literally NOTHING you people won't bitch and moan about. I've given Blizzard plenty of shit in the past, but I simply can't imagine myself being so fucking asinine and obtuse to whinge about this.
Obviously I did mean 1 full week of a time between last cards reveal and initial release date. As a too long period, under our circumstances.
People forget that it's not just new expansion, a whole new year with 3 addons to transition, meaning that it's absolutely nothing to do in the current game state but arena if you are non wild player. And blizzard abused our boredom and inability to play normally by letting narrow circle of favorites to do it instead of us.
p.s. I do know how the world works, I'm not delusional but I do believe that all customers should be treated as equal, all streamers should also be treated equally. Meanwhile we saw that only a few close puppet streamers like kripparian were in the sacred list.
I agree that allowing certain people the chance to use new cards ahead of time sucks, lots of advance knowledge is a tad unfair. The wait time didn't feel any longer than usual, get over it.
I can only disagree as this is probably the fastest they have gone from reveal to release and I feel hyped since there is a lot of different theorycrafting to explore - many interesting cards. Looking forward to try different portal shuffle styles of decks where I think Warlock with Plot Twist and demon synergy probably will be the best, but I will try it with every class just for the fun of it - I doesn't think it will be competitive, but we will see.
I can only agree that I feel a bit sad that some streamer got to try out the new cards before release, but then again it is not highly competitive streamers (Kripp, Trump, Toast etc.) - Still would wish they had released a brawl with two premade deck as they did back in TGT.
"they showcased the new cards by letting a few select streamers play them. THIS IS SOMEHOW A PERSONAL ATTACK AGAINST ME AND I GET EXTREMELY UPSET WHEN I'M NOT THE CENTER OF ATTENTION"
+ this is actually the shortest time between reveal to release ever. Wasn't even a full week. I remember when we had 2 weeks between the final reveal and the expansion release
Exactly this! And the Package deals are good ... People just want everything for free ....
just seems like salt , because OP did not get 50 pack for 5 bucks and was not allowed to play early and therefor hates on others ...
You sir just made me write my first post, regardless years of being calm and silent.
I play Hearthstone since the begining. I've saw nerfs - Leeroy 4mana gone, Conceal 0 gone, Mind Vision stealling a card gone. I've saw boosts - Tinkmaster,(anything else actually?). This community has gone in a wrong direction. What is the purpose of all the topics in this forum or that forum or all forums around the world, when all of them belongs to the salt thread and that is confirmed by everyone. Everytime someone show his points and arguments another dude comes just to kill the thread with a comment like: "Whining boy back to the salt thread where you belong".
I've read OP's points and i agree with him. You can play real masterpieces for 50 bucks on any platform. Games in which some guys actually put efford to make them . What do you get in hearthstone for 50 bucks? Oh yes, 40 packs, with guaranteed 1 legendary in them. SO, you get nothing. What is the expansion bundle (i will talk about the "cheaper" one)? 50 bucks = 50 packs, 1 legendary. Yes in terms of logic it IS better than the basic offer, but what the hell are you out of your mind? Fifthy dollars for a few legendaries and if you have the greatest rng luck - 1/5th of the expansion set.
That is when we go to the next step - dusting. I want to skip this one. I dont want to go in full rage mode. In two words - dusting system is made so you can take bad decisions for no reward at the long run. I am sure that the guy in blizzard who invented dusting system proposed or invented wild format as well. Milk the users!
The real blizzard employee who has to be found is the guy giving popular hearthstone streamers the chance to kill the hype by showing us most of the interactions and to show real decks ready to be netdecked before the actual expansion release. In my opinion this was the one fun thing left in the game.
Now its your time to shine, quote me and say that if i dont like the game i should just left. Please remember that if a big stack of the player base left you will be also in pain (maybe the game will die, maybe you will not find it okay to queue for 5-10 mins and will left yourself. I will continue to play the game, but I will not give a single cent to Blizzard till i find a real change in their marketing behavior. I think all of us should boycott them, so we can be heard! Thank you for spending your time seeing my point!

And who prevented you from NOT viewing said streams? Noone was or is forced by Blizzard to watch a few selected Twitch characters playing with their latest toys. If you don't want to have your release hype getting killed (as if people would actually boycott the rotation because of it...) you're free to avoid those events. Otherwise, you only have yourself to blame.

+ YOU a simple player, not streamer, could play with the new cards at a Fireside Gathering.... so nothing unfair here
I love hearthstone. I’ve played pretty much every day for the past 4/5 years.
But mate, if this reveal season, of a card game, is enough to devastate you and make you feel not yourself, then you maybe need to re-evaluate your priorities a bit.

I did not watch the streamers. It was ugly way for blizzard to sell more, by showing the ingame content. For example when i preorder a game, i dont want a walkthrough to be uploaded by the devs but if so i will not view it.
I understand that you are a netdecker. I can not blame anyone for netdecking because we are playing with very small amount of cards and if you want to play with a homebrew deck i assume that you are a masochist. I will tell you what I usually do when an expansion hits - I am trying to make a homebrew deck and edit them a lot of times. When I get a win with my deck in ranked I become very happy. Thats the main purpose of gaming. Later when I play against the same decks, I see for myself which are the good outs for my deck and I am switching to them. If you open packs and then open twitch to see what to play, that is your way of having fun and I respect it. Have a nice day!
Maybe it’s because I’m a gainfully employed adult with common sense, but the level of childish entitlement I see in posts on these forums is comical.
1. Blizzard is in the business of making money. If their product is too expensive for you, then accept the consequences of being a F2P player, or get a job. It really is that simple. Folks should be happy there is even a F2P option at all. F2P players literally add nothing to the game other than being a possible win for a net decker. Not to mention that over the years, F2P players have made guides for others on how to be successful at it in order to get better cards.
2. If I ran Blizzard, I too would get social media streamers test driving the product. Anyone that watched the past couple days has had just as much insight into the expansion as the streamers themselves. This will further drive sales while everyone is making the newest power decks. Again, it’s all about profit. And last time I checked, the entire world had the opportunity to attend a Fireside Gatherings to open packs and play test early.
3. Just like back in my MtG days, all you hear is the constant whine about “netdecks”. Yeah it sucks, but it’s human nature to pick the best options for achieving goals. I’m sorry your 1,000,000 damage turn 15 OTK meme deck got mollywhooped on turn 5 by aggro. Want your combo to go off? Play against the practice AI in normal mode. Expecting casual mode decks to be any different than ranked mode decks is just plain dumb. People play test net decks in casual so as not to lose any rank. It’s casua’ls actual purpose.
4. Yes, the dusting system sucks. See #1.
TL;DR - Grow up, get a job, have some common sense about how a business runs. If this game is actually making your life suck, go do something else.

If you have some great ideas don't be afraid to go through with them! I've gotten into a habit now of not watching any card reviews or other gameplay videos because i don't wanna be influenced too much in my deckbuilding decisions. The time goes by quicker too if you don't see other people having fun with the cards and getting excited about them.

Ugly? You're talking like this isn't a common thing. Early screenings of films for critics and early access for games is insanely common. Yes, it helps build hype and get word out there ready for launch.
Fifa do it, their content creators also get early access and stream etc.
You come across as incredibly naive and blinkered to be honest If you're not happy, put the game away.
It seems to me that Blizzard cant win. If the release is to long, people complain, if the release is fast, people complain. But I agree letting streamers play cards we cant is a bad move on Blizzards part.
i think the sentence you're looking for is "people complain"
