We all see that Hunters are flooding ladder, meta is so bad and boring now. What decks punish them and have positive winratio? Do you find way to crush them? Maybe Zoolock is solution?
Ive been rocking odd dragon warrior which melts spell hunter, secret hunters and has a great chance vs other hunter archetypes. The only exception seems to be rattle hunter. You just cant properly deal with their swing turns. You can tech in ironbeaks to counter it, but overal they make too much value.
Let's avoid the phrase "boring meta" a whole 3-4 days after the expansion releases. Are there too many hunters? Sure... but a yogg-like card has that effect. *Praise Yogg*. =P
I'd run warrior or even old taunt warrior with a few updates to it. Might not stop an aggro hunter but I haven't ran into many of those.
I’m playing a dead mans hand warrior with hakkar and just beat a spell hunter. I also tech in a Chief Investigator - nothing better than watching 5 secrets get destroyed!!!
i was trying out Zoolock but for some reason I got my ass kicked by their explosive traps and freezing traps. So I switched it up a bit.
Are people really beating spell hunter with odd warrior? I beat every odd warrior i've played in fatigue. They can't deal with Rexxar so as long as it's not on the bottom of the deck you should win. Just don't play your tracking(s) and don't play into super collider and there is nothing they can really do to you. The very few threats they muster can be easily removed by crushing walls, deadly shot, hunters mark. Big Spell mage does ok but i've beaten a lot of them in fatigue as well, it's a close matchup.
I don't think the answer to spell hunter is control, it's aggro. Zoo lock and odd pally are the tough matchups. If you can go wide on the board then they can't catchup and the deck has no healing or consistent taunts outside of Rexxar so they're vulnerable early. As long as they properly play around the traps it can be really hard to stabilize.
I played secret hunter before the expansion, and its main weakness is it's card draw. If you have early removal for a few turns, Hunter will run out of cards in hand really quick, and then you just have to finish. Warrior is a tough match-up, I barely won, I was lucky enough to draw my second kill command to hit 10 in face. Odd warrior perfectly counters the hero power too. Just play smart and carefully and Hunter will run itself out.
Nobody mentioned Odd Paladin but it is sadly the best deck against hunter by far, that's why it's so prevalent right now. If you hate hunter and your dignity just play that brainless shit and enjoy the wins
Mecha druid, tog druid, maly druid, gonk druid if they have a board, even shaman and mecha priest... However, paladins (all archetypes so far) are easy prey, as well as all other shamans except from even shaman.
How the hell do I know? I play spell hunter, got a decent sample of games so far.
Huh it seems so many decks counter hunters they should be extinct by now. Psychic Scream is literally best single counter you can have for spell hunter, messes up their entire synergy. You also have to play around secrets properly or just tech for them.
Hunter is only part of the problem, and hunter always thrives while the meta is shifting.
Expect that when the meta settles it'll be like the brawliseum meta: odd pally, maecha'thun druid, malygos druid, deathrattle hunter, and odd dragon warrior

Without looking at any stats and without any experience in this meta! Probably the good old resurrect priest or maybe mecha'thun priest.

Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Control warrior. Throw in a few chief investigators and farm that ladder.
I was playing new decks but yes, too many hunters right now so I'm back with mecha'thun priest to farm them.
Discolock EZ

I am having luck with deathrattle rouge. Double keleseth is too good even for them

Healadin with lots of taunts and AoE seems to work.
hunters are weak to taunt druid, if you have problems wiht them just play taunt druid.
Big Spell Mage with Arcane Keysmiths and those elementals that are free drops after 5-plus mana spells. Both of those disrupt traps quite well.
Zul'Jin isn't a worry since you more than likely have AOE stockpiled vs. Secret Hunters.
Jan'alai to kick back and take advantage of frost traps.
Big odd mage punishs them hard. Got near 70% winrate against them from rank 5 till 3
Agreed. Beat almost all odds pally and spell hunters with odd mage.
