i have noticed that i spend more time on hearthpwn than i do playing hearthstone. does this seem weird? and does anyone else find hearthstone becoming more and more glum, and so come here to read about hearthstone instead?

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
It's like when I get a new pc build and spend more time tinkering with configuration to squeeze out few more fps, rather than actually playing the games.
Love browsing the salt threads as it is very entertaining to read, seeing the love hate relationship everyone has with this game makes me feel I'm not alone.

i never thought that it is just the community that i enjoy. i spend more time on hearthpwn just reading comments/threads, than the news. mostly because there is not enough news, but i think that if hearthpwn stopped posting news and was only for decks, threads, and card design competitions then it would still do okay.

Nope me too. I'm barely playing the game right now I'm SOOOO bored with this rock/paper/scissors meta. I actually played so little I dropped to rank 12 to start the month! I haven't been out of rank 10 for a WHILE now! So yes coming here and reading the board IS more entertaining than the actual game right now.
I knew I was in a similar holding pattern when the site achievement for visiting for 365 days straight popped up. Some aspect and some posters on this site I find very educational.
For instance, my most recent development is playing odd-Shaman with an interesting deck from a poster here.
Similar, the game is fun but if you think about, a lot of the content around it we enjoy is actually the result of community rather than Blizzard's own doing:
Streamer twitch/youtube videos showcasing various meme decks, funny RNG moments
These forums discussing announcements and play styles as well as showcasing new decks
Deck trackers and HSReplay data
Really, the game would be rather mundane without them. In a way, this is an indicator of how good fan-made content can be and I'm hoping Blizzard and other gaming companies make it easier for the community to enhance games in the future (i.e. via APIs) rather than fighting them through obfuscation and ban threats.
Things are pretty stale in Hearthstone right now. I was playing The Elder Scroll: Legends but the new client is too buggy at the moment (but in my opinion, it is just as much of a solid game as Hearthstone). I am playing MTG: Arena currently but I will probably be back once the next expansion gets announced.
we all play this game so we have topic for talk :) hey all its good game i really like it.
Even if there's no matchup communication only friend talk, There is still good player's communications on site's like this and you still enjoy it more than in other games that why i love it.
Hearsthstone Keep it going.

Well, if you like the theme, it is much more easy to a site be fresh with news topics, posts and articles than a game...
Why not enjoy both at once? Hearthpwn is one of the things I alt+tab to when facing slow opponents
Legend with : S65 Freeze Mage, S57 Maly Gonk Druid, S57 "Okay" Shaman, S53 Boom-zooka Hunter, S53 Maly Tog Druid, S52 Wild Tog Druid ft.Blingtron, S50 Quest Rogue, S49 Dead Man's Warrior, S41 Wild Clown Fiesta Druid, S41 Hadronox Jade Druid, S40 Wild OTK Dragon Druid, S35 SMOrc Shaman, S33 Jade Druid, S22 Control Priest, S19 Control Priest
Great, I'm not the only one then :-D
Depends on the day. Some days hearthstone is fun and some days it really isn't. But that's pretty much everyone's experience with this game
I only do quests, and on here all the time. Specially while waiting for things, ie. Doctor office. Nice to see not just me.
