I know we only saw some of the cards, plenty to be revealed, but i think the power level on this expansion is too high and we didn't even see half the cards yet.
so, i wanna hear your thoughts about the power level.
I'd say its about average. There is the occasional standout card but most the cards are mediocre. This opinion though, could change dramatically when the full set is revealed.
I think Blizzard learned their lesson from the Witchwood expansion and looked to add a fun factor back to the set.
The decision of basing this expansion around Mechs serves a double purpose, since Mech decks were especially powerful (including Mecha Mage) in the days of GVG and most of the linchpin cards of a Mech deck are dirt cheap to craft, meaning you can play on a budget in Wild. (So thankful I never dusted my Mech cards!) This is a push to have people checking out Wild again. Hell, they have finally made Metaltooth Leaper not only playable, but necessary. This is what an expansion should do - it should be awesome as hell and also inject new life into cards that were seen as niche. (Remember how much of a liability Baron Geddon was before Frozen Throne, yet he is considered essential in Elemental Mage with the introduction of Frost Lich Jaina?)
It seems high now, but it could be overhype. A lot of the cards seem really good, but they don't slot easily into any deck we currently have so they could end up being duds.
Maybe a little too high, but all the new archetypes are really interesting and look to be actually viable. I like how with Witchwood and Boomsday they took the two worst classes (shaman and warrior) and gave them fun, solid decks. Only problem is that more and more cards are getting powercreeped.
I like the new cards to change the meta so it seems right to me... Though I have serious concerns that they were too conservative with the mechs and they won't see play at all. And there's also the possibility that they other control decks will just be just be too slow to beat shudderwock and mall druid.
Above average so far. Some cards like dr boom are madly overhyped imho. And there are a lot of cards that could be potential sleepers, especially the legendary spells we've seen so far.
Druid is looking absolutely busted so far. This could be frozen throne 2.0 for a while
probably seems so good because witchwood wasn't a hard act to follow seeing as it was such a fail. lol
Your opinion on that one. WW has been one of my favorite sets and led to my favorite standard meta possibly ever.
On topic... can't tell. The magnetic thing has the potential to be really great or bad depending on how it shakes out. There have been some potentially great cards previewed. Normally I can make some solid power predictions for cards but I'm stuck currently. I think there is probably a few cards we've seen so far that are too powerful. Biology Project just sets off so many flags for me. However I think all around I'm going to hesitantly say the power level is OK across the board with only a few possible offenders.

while yes most of the witchwood has had many different decks being played and most classes having at least 1 top tier deck at some point, if you take a look at all the decks being played right now, how many of them are using witchwood cards? not many, that's the point I was trying to make.
It's still way too early to make an accurate read , and considering the community overhypes, under values cards before release, until.
Corridor Creeper, Hadronox, Zola, Bonemare, All 3 of the Princes were basically dismissed as bad. Just some examples of cards that were dismissed
Pretty SURE Uther was over hyped as shit lol.
Won't be long though before the meta settles, nerfs are implemented and we can really discuss power levels over 9000
I remember when Frost Lich Jaina was regularly shit on when she was introduced, even though I knew the second I saw the Hero Power that the card was powerful.
Seems just right. I have noticed a steady decrease in power levels since Kraken. Mammoth's power levels were lowered to account for the high power and all the problem decks that received the highest levels of bitching came out of lingering Kraken cards (jades, Raza, etc.). On their own, Mammoth cards were not particularly overpowered, it seemed.
Now, Mammoth cards are causing all the salt and, for the most part, we define the highest meta decks by Mammoth cards (Hadronox, cube, DKs, etc.). Raven's expansions are not as overwhelming in terms of raw power. The most abusable cards in Boomsday will no doubt create frustrating combos, but will likely do so with Mammoth cards.
If all Raven expansions are of the decreased power level we've been seeing, then next year has the potential to be far more balanced.

It seems just right to me. Some cards are totally overhyped by the community so it appears stronger IMHO.
You might change OK" to "just right" which is a positive thing.
How would you define "too high"?
It makes it so that the cards printed in the next two years have to be more powerful to match the cards printed in Boomsday.
The power level is crazy, but considering the previous 2nd exp of the year introduced Hero Cards it isn't that surprising
Don't mind me just passing by
If it's anything like the rent, then it's too damn high!!!

after witchwood everything seems broken , but witchwood had to be underpowered as 1st expansion

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP

This expansion seems strong because there are so many potentially game breaking cards, even if the support isn't there yet. Biology Project, Eternium Rover, Demonic Project, Electra Stormsurge. Flobbidinous Floop, Giggling Inventor, Myra's Unstable Element, Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, The Boomship, Zerek's Cloning Gallery, and Mulchmuncher are all really strong cards. I could see any of these cards creating something game breaking and we've only see less than half the cards. This is going to be one of the most influential sets to date.
