To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard just keeps testing what they can get away with, the more people who buy into these sort of things just confirms they can keep selling more and more expensive products and people will just eat them up.
This will be a common occurance in future as long as people keep buying.
I get what your saying but ultimately you can choose to pay and get heroes or not. I know you don't believe in paying so don't get pissed when things you want to get are behind a paywall. You may believe it's badbusiness practice and I agree but at the end of the day for blizzard to make people want to buy their bundles they have to make you incentivized to buy there products. Limited edition things you can get will sometimes be behind a paywall. It sucks a lot but I think you should stop bitching and either buy it and get the skin and don't and wait for the next f2p legendary.
They should offer incentive such as more packs and cards for a lower price, not this. Although I don't like Mecha-Jaraxxus so I don't particularly care about not getting him (I'm never gonna buy packs, they're too expensive for RNG stuff...luckily for me I was here from the start and can get most of the good stuff with ingame currency). Cosmetics are fine to be purchasable with real money imo, but a lot cheaper - 10 dollars for a skin? Chuckle.
Jesus Mother of Hitchens, this fucking thread . . .
The meta is diverse, the legend climb is doable, even with Whizbang. There are 4 highly viable warlock decks that can get you there whether you're skinned as mecha J or not.

It's already happening with Overwatch. Because people bought the $15 Pink Mercy skin, now ActiBlizz is doing more $15 limited time skins.
I'm calling it now: Come time for next expansion, there will be another hero locked behind an $80 preorder.

It's not a hero lock behind an $80 preorder! It's a hero portrait, that makes no difference on game play. You can take it or leave it and, neither gain or lose a thing. Some of us don't mind paying $80 for a new hero portrait AND 80 PACKS !!!!!

I just came here to see how this thread was still possibly going but I suppose I should contribute. I like the pre-orders and the special little bonuses, 10/10 would keep buying again.
So people telling you the skin is ugly anyway are making subjective statements, yet you claiming that this hero portrait is too good-looking to be locked behind a paywall are stating fact?
I know this thread shouldn't be active any more, but whatever, if you can't beat em, join em.
If they released a cool rogue or hunter hero that I had to pay the $80 pre-order for, I'd probably be pre-ordering before a single card release haha. I didn't give a shit about Jaraxxus so I settled with the $50 pre-order. Now that the release has come and gone, I fail to see how this $80 bundle has impacted gameplay in any way.

Stop complaining, sure people really want a hero skin that his 0 impact on the gameplay, but you’ve gone too far. Do you not know how businesses work? They gotta spice up their stuff to sell it to the consumers. It’s a choice, not a must do. If you are really this angry, id just stop playing hearthstone altogether because when next expansion comes around you’ll be making another post saying, “Blizzard has gone too far (part 2, told you so)

And I will preorder both packs again. I really hope Blizzard will make a new mega bundle. Especially considering I would buy these packs anyway - so this is a deal for me with a really nice bonus.

I certainly hope so. Rewarding the players who make the game possible should be celebrated by everyone who wants to play the game.
People willing to spend money are subsidizing f2p players' experiences. If anyone should be complaining, it's the payers for not getting more perks.

This whole post comes down to types of camps/people. Those willing to pay to get extra things, regardless that they make no impact on how the game is played .... And those who want what others have, but do not want to pay/go threw, what others had to do in order to get those extra things ....
SOOOO .......
Basically, people who don't mind spending money on games they enjoy playing... And cry babies...
Yes, it is absolutely people like me who allow Blizzard to get away with publishing a f2p game.
I will wear that scarlet dollar sign proudly. As I've said before, instead of being scandalized by perks for folks who pay, consider a simple "thank you" at your next mecha-J opponent.

But still, price politic is beyond absurd. I will never pay 50$ 3 times a year for packs that will just "go to wild" after year.
Seriously, 11$/month AND you don't even get all cards need to play? Are you fucking kidding me or what?
Even if they allow to play ALL CARDS available for 11$/month it would be absurd.
And now for about few years already this looks same every expansion: you have gold for 1-2 legendaries and if you are lucky it will be meta legendaries and it will be enough to get some 10 or even 15 rank. Same (one) deck, boring gameplay, boring shit. I stop playing in about 2 weeks after expansion because it is boring AF. Pay 50$ or gtfo. Even worse: pay 50$, get random useless shit and gtfo.

Get away with what exactly? Getting rich people to buy things they want to buy? Meanwhile folks like me have to suffer... having Guldan as my Warlock?
The whole 'rage over microtransaction' thing really doesn't work here for a big reason: it's F2P. F2P, by design, is meant to have microtransaction BS. It's similar to having to tip at US restaurants: it's a built in part of the system. We accept it because it's optional and because if we didn't accept any of it we would be looking for an up front pay system. What makes $15 for a Mercy skin less acceptable is that you should be buying the D.Va Black Cat skin you already had to pay $40 up front.
Do note, if the original microtransaction system in Star Wars Battlefront 2 was in a F2P game, it would've been more than acceptable. Not GOOD as there's a lot more generous games out there, but it would've done fine and probably made a LOT more money.
Does that mean you HAVE to accept all of this? No. If you feel it's stupid, then that's fine. But just saying that this is the F2P world and a skin that does nothing isn't going to raise eyebrows when there's real problems with the lack of support to new players to fight over.
Does that mean Blizzard will do more stuff like this? Yes. Will the community accept a LOT more of stuff like this? If Blizzard improves other areas of more importance, like balancing and the F2P experience? Yes.
Havent spent a single dollar on hearthstone since frozen throne, I can safely assume i spent WAY more then the vast majority of ppl, With over 160 legs 59 of which are golden, there is just no incentive to buy anything anymore, not packs and certainly not a 80$ skin, blizz need to up their game if they want me back as a customer.. something better then locking a skin behind a 80$ bundle to compensate for their shrinking paying playerbase.
Making the constructed arena a permanent, separate game-mode would certainly helps, and while they're at it, also bring heroic brawl as a permanent mode..

If you seriously think skins are in any way important.
1) You've never held any form of responsibility in your life
2) You're under the age of 18
3) You're not even using your own money
