The only emote I use besides the starter greetings is an oops if I happen to forget clicking end of turn and I am tabbed out of the game.
This is why I genuinely wish there was a "sorry" emote like what we've seen in a couple Tavern Brawls. Although it would probably be a bit annoying if it starts getting used right as an opponent is going to kill you...
I use "Wow" emote in Arena when my opponent (hunter) starts with coin and Knife juggler, i play a 2/3, he plays a secret, i attack the juggler, snake trap activates, juggler deals 3 damage all to my 2/3.
I just do Wow when someone top decks a second specific card to get Lethal or clear my board. But usually do Well Played after I win or the game was super interactive and enjoyable even if my opponent won, never say Well Played to Casino Mage though xD. Usually just Hello for Hello as well if someone says it to me. I also do Oops if I make a misplay or activate something I wasn't planning on. With that said though some of them seem a little BM though why would you ever say Thanks or use Threaten to anyone besides to BM? Idk why but I can't stand when Malfurion does Thanks "My thanks to you" so many people spam that for BM.
GREETINGS at the beginning: You may not know it yet, but I am going to crush you.
GREETINGS before the end: I have won. How does it feel to be crushed?
WELL PLAYED during a game: I have an answer in my hand for everything you just did.
WELL PLAYED before the end: There is a Concede button. You can push it now.
THANKS: You made a big mistake, didn't you?
WOW: I hereby acknowledge that you know how to netdeck.
OOPS: RNJesus doesn't love you, does he?
THREATEN: Is your slow playing caused by a congenital defect?
Any other versions to share?
I'm sure this is just supposed to be a joke, but it's kind of sad that part of me can't be sure if you might not actually be serious about this.
At least I've encountered people on here whose paranoia has developed to such extent. xD
I'm the OP. This is the most cynical way to interpret the emotes, for sure. I usually Squelch at the beginning, but when I don't, I'd say that maybe 1/3 people use BMs in a friendly way; the other 2/3 don't. I freely admit that I BM. I mostly BM in Arena by using "Well Played" to mean "You can push the Concede button now [I want to start my next game]." I also WOW basically when any of the now-nerfed cards from KnC are played.
Some people are accused for being so sensitive that they think "Greetings" is a BM. Sometimes, "Greetings" is BM. Ceci n'est pas une salutation.
It's not paranoia if someone emotes constantly (Usually priests) or when some repedatly heals your face when they can't spend their mana on anything else (Priests again) or when they rope each turn and do mousemovements of a card back and forth (Usually priests) or if you win against them they add you and call you netdecking lucker (Usually priests). I fucking hate priest players.
Greetings: greetings
Well played: well played
Thank you: Thank you
Wow: wow
Oops: oops
Threaten: threaten
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
I just simply mute players at the beginning of all my games. It became a habbit after l got BM'd almost every game.
My signature says it all...
...The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude to the problem.
WELL PLAYED... WHOOPS!.. HELLO - at the beginning.
= Hell-oops! I misclicked. Ok better apologise. Oh the cooldown takes a while. Wait is it turn 2 already? I mean... uhhh... HELLO!
Damn.... I look like such a troll....
I go "greetings" at match start. If someone actually greetings me back I use "wow" cause nobody does that anymore
I'll then use em as the game progresses. RNG in my favor? "wow"
You just undid my awesome play? "Threaten"
You're playing one of the top 3 decks I hate (Jades, Quest Rogue, Big Priest)? No emotes whatsoever. It just encourages them.

Threaten: I'm going to leave you at 1 health, play Yogg-Saron, and then watch him Pyroblast me 3 times in the face and lose.

I have no idea what emotes mean because first thing I'm doing after mulligan is pressing "Squelch".
can't delete posts? sad!
I played against someone back in KotFT who was obviously in love with their new Gul'dan because every time I killed a demon he did the "Thanks" emote.
