I was just laddering for a while and I encountered this type of deck various times. Why did they buff Naga Sea Witch ? Have they said anything about this? This is not a salt thread, I just want to know if Blizz has said somehting
This is what they have said back when they changed it:
We made the change because we think these rules are easier to understand because they're more consistent with other parts of the game, not because we wanted to buff Naga Sea Witch. We were worried about it's power level and have been watching the play/win reports in Wild. Right now it's not one of the best decks, but it could grow in winrate as players get more practice. If it does become a big problem, we'd probably nerf Naga Sea Witch, rather than reverting the rules change.
HSReplays puts the play-rate of the card at 3% - it peaked at 9% about a week after the buff. As it turns out, the combo is too wonky - if the deck doesn't draw Naga, it simply has a handful of dead cards, and loses. Even if it draws the combo, the deck doesn't have much game against aggro, and loses. Owing to Tracking, King's Elekk and Stitched Tracker, Hunter has had the most success with the combo. However, Midrange Hunter simply has a better win-rate - it's currently at the top of tier two from rank 5 through Legend on Metastats. As a result, the play-rate of Naga in Hunter has fallen from 29% to 16% over the past month. It's a powerful combo - presumably, more cards which might help the deck become viable will be released in the future, but there currently isn't any problem with the card, either with respect to game balance, or play-rate of the combo, or any other metric people tend to bitch about.

Don't drink and draw.
Yep. They have said something.
It was a deliberate buff to bright eyed scout that shares the same mechanic.
It is unlikely to be nerfed as there are stronger decks in wild.
The change they made was them "fixing" it

The buff actually makes sense, sometimes it's hard to deal with, but I think it's possible... I think Razakus is harder :)
Its not that good a deck
