The only one actually viable for that role is Kipler. The others are too social awkward to make the curious role that the guest streamer is required to play. Its a New expansion stream, not a review, they should help hype the expansion, not review Its potential.
Have you tried seeing people like Theis, Kolento, Trump etc. Casting for some of the matches? They're so awkward that it almost hurts. Toast, Kripp and Wowhobbs are kinda like that, which would make the experience way less enjoyable .
Thats also why they brought Day9 for the Un'goro reveal, a chill guy that's easy to excite .
Tldr: Kipler is a fine choice, the others would ruin a portion of the hype.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
It doesn't matter who they get honestly. Being awkward or whatever wasn't the problem with Frodan, it's the fact that they are there specifically show off new cards and interactions. What we got last time was a guy who was oblivious every time he drew a new card from the deck and played to win. Tell whoever you get not to do that and direct them a little better, everything should be fine. Can't help the production guys grow a spine though.
Okay here are your favourite streamers during the Expansion Reveal:
1. Disguised Toast - Wow! Just look at this priest card. It has very interesting interactions with the priest spell. It's time to break the game!
2. Brian Kibler - This is the Neutral Legendary Dragon - Sindragosa. Just look at that badass card art and the effect. I can play this card all day long. Now next card - Sindragosa!
3. Kripparian - Did you guys even test this card. How can you print such an op card. This is Bullshit! I can already imagine Drooling Noobs wrecking me in Arena.
They don't pick Frodan randomly. He isn't awkward, he can interact and joke normally with Ben Brode, and he is used to being live on hearthstone events. The last bit applies to Kibler too, but his fake laugh, along with Brode annoying laugh I will have to watch it on mute.

I wouldn't put toast in the category of socially awkward, he's handled his own in the outside world a few times

Lol, I would say Toast is the most socially awkward of them all if anything. I remember at the bahamas tourney, where he streamed, he had no natural interaction with anybody, Frodan and Kibler told him to hang with them but he acted like every other socially awkward person and stuck to his game and stream.
He has a lot of ''personality'' when it's online and he is alone making videos and terrible jokes but put him together with someone in a live environment and he just becomes this quiet nerd who can only play this game and comment on it. Really doubt he would make a good pair with Ben Brode.
Kripp would be interesting because I wonder if he will be salty while brode is there.
Honestly, I'd be willing to give anyone precedence over Kibler. Ever since I saw him reviewing The Boogeymonster and defending that a legend slot should be spent with that aberration of a card, I've started noticing that he is physically incapable of being harsh when it comes to blizzards shortcomings. It's like he doesn't want to burn a bridge, because he earns his living giving game companies advice. And that is fine, but then don't complain when I don't trust his words when it comes to talking from a player perspective.
If you're giving some streamer the space, give it to someone who will give them shit if they f*** up REAL bad, like Kripp.
I would like to add Firebat to this discussion, actually. He's a streamer who likes to entertain, can interact very well with other people and isn't overtly serious about the game, while being known for matching out cards and game theory intensively, and he's done a good job with the cards he's been given to reveal in past expansions. Plus, he's familiar with Blizzard and has casted before, so we'd get everything we're asking for in the above comments. Not that I like him or anything baka.

Yeah your right Kibbler has never EVER been critical of Blizzards design decisions kappa
We have always had "bad" legendaries. They do it on purpose. You don't have to agree with it and can spout your opinion from the roof tops. Hell on the point of Boogeymonster I even agree. But to say he isn't "harsh"? He has been quite vocal a number of times on cards or design decisions he didn't like. Maybe it didn't seem "harsh" as he is an actual designer and knows how to be critical without being an ass hat.
kibler always talks about cards positively while Toast can think of combos with the revealed cards. and that what blizzard want .. more hype
Amaz will ruin the hype because i know he is an honest guy and he will flame some cards and we will know immediately that he is lying when he talk about a shitty card positively , i like him alot and i watch his streams the most but i see many people hate him so i don think he will be a good choice.
when we talk about reviewing cards , trump is by far the worst, completely a bad choice, he will keep lying on the whole card reveal
and Frodan ,we always see him, i think Blizzard consider him as plan B when non of the streamer agreed to reveal the cards.
thijs and savjz dont appear on events alot but they may be a viable option, specially savjz
thijs may be less than ok duo to his accent
TL;DR
kibler and toast are the best option
savjz and thijs are ok
the others arent good choices ( amaz - trump - frodan )

I didn't say critical, I said harsh. Sometimes they do little mistakes, that's ok, that's to be expected, you can be critical in a lighthearted manner.
Boogeymonster on the other hand is an insult. A worst Grull? As a legendary people will actually spend their pity timer getting? That's outrageous. I'm ok with bad legendaries that do things, that justify the 1-of restriction in a deck. It's not a matter of "we need bad cards", I agree with that, it's a matter of don't print uninspired filler garbage on legend slots.
And, as I said, he never gets harsh when it's appropriate, and I feel this is due to him not wanting to burn bridges. And that is fine from his businessman perspective, but I don't like him talking as if he represents the player perspective. For that end I'd much rather have kripp, who wants HS to thrive, because it means he gets to stream and earn a living, while at the same time not being as filtered and ready to trow some curve balls at devs.

Yes they're all complete garbage or only see play in fringe for fun decks, but at least they have wild mechanics, they feel like legendaries.
Tyrantus is a good example of what Boogey feels like, in a slightly less revolting manner, because at least it goes well with the druid idea of ramp > big stuff. Still, people complained quite a bit about that legendary when it was spoiled.
I would like to see some other player than Frodan (no offense).
Disguised Toast maybe?
Brian Kibler?
Kripparian?
WowHobbs?
Is it even possible?

Kibler's great, he has a fine diction, good camera appearance and presents his opinion in a simple and comprehensible way.

Check out my entry for this week's Card Design Competition. Vote for it if you like it.
I rather have Frodan than any of those streamers.

Not Frodan, for sure. "You guys wanna see what these new cards do? Fuck you, I've got lethal."

All of these popular players/casters pretty much are horrible cringe fest. Give me Falcone and I'll be okay.
