I'll have to jump on the Kibler train here, he probably would be a GREAT choice for the final reveal stream!
I've been disappointed with Frodan at least during the last two, if not three, reveals. He never notice when a new card pops up, he doesn't mouse over new cards long enough for players to read it, he doesn't play the new cool cards to show us how they look when he instead has lethal....he doesn't check out the gameboard stuff....he constantly bitch about his deck compared to the deck he is faced up against...he doesn't really give any good insight/opinion on cards....basically I don't enjoy watching him on the reveal stream, he feels too noob at Hearthstone or at least not up to date enough....I'm confident Kibler would do a much better job.
What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?
Well, you had Hemet in GvG, Ice Howl in TGT, Wrathion in MSoG, The Vorax in Un'Goro. All very uninspired cards that are also garbage... Boogiemonster at least has a tiny bit of flavour, growing bigger with every minion he eats... (Vorax I don't see why you wouldn't consider uninspired, it's just the Djinni of Zephyrs effects a little modified...
Personally I don't mind most legendaries. I do think it is a waste of space for cards like the ones I named, because they are literally just awful and even if you somehow get some use out of them, you literally would rather see any other effect on them. Tyrantus for example, it's a bad card, but I still like to use it. An untargettable 12/12 is actually a problem to deal with, it's just really slow.
While I agree some of those aren't AS unique because there are similar effects, like hemmet / BGH, The Voraxx / djin, or because they don't do anything as flashy as Sylvanas does... you have to admit that straight up "gain +x/+x when Y" is the lowest you can go in terms of creativity. That paired with being straight up an unplayable card in terms of power level makes it IMO the least relevant legendary of all time.
Look, I even play Nat, the darkfisher on my "help your buddy completing his quest" deck... millhouse manastorm goes in there as well. Where will you EVER put boogey in a deck? That's the point.
@Franck
Nice try dude, but that's a rage quit during a random stream. I saw his video explaining why he thought the quest needed a nerf, and honestly it sounded like an apology "Sorry I have to complain about this, but maybe nerf this?".
Honestly, I'd be willing to give anyone precedence over Kibler. Ever since I saw him reviewing The Boogeymonster and defending that a legend slot should be spent with that aberration of a card, I've started noticing that he is physically incapable of being harsh when it comes to blizzards shortcomings. It's like he doesn't want to burn a bridge, because he earns his living giving game companies advice. And that is fine, but then don't complain when I don't trust his words when it comes to talking from a player perspective.
If you're giving some streamer the space, give it to someone who will give them shit if they f*** up REAL bad, like Kripp.
Yeah your right Kibbler has never EVER been critical of Blizzards design decisions kappa
We have always had "bad" legendaries. They do it on purpose. You don't have to agree with it and can spout your opinion from the roof tops. Hell on the point of Boogeymonster I even agree. But to say he isn't "harsh"? He has been quite vocal a number of times on cards or design decisions he didn't like. Maybe it didn't seem "harsh" as he is an actual designer and knows how to be critical without being an ass hat.
I didn't say critical, I said harsh. Sometimes they do little mistakes, that's ok, that's to be expected, you can be critical in a lighthearted manner.
Boogeymonster on the other hand is an insult. A worst Grull? As a legendary people will actually spend their pity timer getting? That's outrageous. I'm ok with bad legendaries that do things, that justify the 1-of restriction in a deck. It's not a matter of "we need bad cards", I agree with that, it's a matter of don't print uninspired filler garbage on legend slots.
And, as I said, he never gets harsh when it's appropriate, and I feel this is due to him not wanting to burn bridges. And that is fine from his businessman perspective, but I don't like him talking as if he represents the player perspective. For that end I'd much rather have kripp, who wants HS to thrive, because it means he gets to stream and earn a living, while at the same time not being as filtered and ready to trow some curve balls at devs.
Here is where you and I see things differently. Being harsh is NEVER needed. You simply do not need to be a dick to get your point across. Well thought out arguments are always more effective. I don't think he has ever claimed to speak for all the players, if he has feel free to point me to it. There is no doubt in my mind Kibler wants the game to thrive as well, if for no other reason than because it's where he makes his money, he just feel he needs to call shit "Stupid" when that honestly doesn't help anyone.
Listen I understand people liking Kripp, honestly he is one of my favorite streamers. He voices his outrage, outrage that a lot of us, myself included, may feel at times. But Kripp, as far as I know has never been a developer. Meanwhile Kibler has, I think that is why he is baby raging over shit. He knows first hand what it is like when criticism is unnecessarly harsh. I think that has as much to do with as not wanting to burn bridges.

Nope he straight out called the card bullshit. Doesn't at ALL matter what stream it was or when it happened or how, it's the 'harshness' you are looking for.
Kibler would be the best at this. I was dissapointed with Frodan during the last 2 reveals. He doesn't even care to hover over new cards for us to see, I mean isn't that why he's there? To show us those cards, what they do and maybe a little insight, Frodan is absolutely terrible at this.
Just want to point out that I highly didn't enjoy the one with day 9, it was so bad, cringy, forced humor, not funny or entertaining in any way. At one point day 9 sneezed on the HS dev's face, I was like "no..... just no...".
In short, Blizzard shoulnd't experiment with this, just let Godbrode do it ("god" refering to his marketing skills) along with Frodan or someone you have no doubt woudln't screw it up and that's it.
Just my two cents.

Kripp would be interesting because I wonder if he will be salty while brode is there.
Kripp is dead honest about what he thinks, and that's not what bilzzard needs when revealing new stuff. Kripp will point out poor design when he sees it, while blizz needs you to say "OMG what a CRAAAAAAAAZY card."
Exactly. I love the Kripps xp

Kripp - Let's be honest it would be funny as fuck to see Kripp and Ben Brode talking about cards. "WHAT AN EXCITING CARD, 4 MANA 3/2 CHARGE AND LIFESTEAL, THIS CARD IS SO AMA-"
"Terrible card only will see play in Arena."
Amaz - would be terrible.
Trump - would be funny but terrible.
Kibler - Could be a solid choice, good representation in hs community.
Day9 - Not bad.
Frodan - gay af but still a good choice imo.
Firebat - actually could be a solid pick, he seems collected and doesnt seem to be cringey at all.
Thijs - would be a memorable reveal stream.
Disguised Toast - would be awkward.
Let's be honest here though, they'll prolly bring in Frodan, a game director of HS, or some small streamer that like 500 people know. But if Kripp ever is able to be on a reveal stream, it would be SOOOO entertaining.

Kripp - I agree with you. He is way to brutally honest lol
Amaz - Fake hype? eh.
Trump - I would like to see this actually. Trump sometimes has a lot of initial hype.
Kibler - would be great in my opinion, better than frodan
Day 9 - same issue with him as I have with Frodan which is...
Frodan - the guys knowledge base of the cards is woefully lacking. Not sure what his sexual orientation has anything to do with it though.
Firebat - I think would be interesting as well.
Thijs - would be fun as well, very expressive guy
Disguised Toast - Seems like he may already have a gig with the look at these crazy interactions. Also doesn't seem that awkward to me.
I would watch it with Noxious, but I think he's moving on to Gwent. He doesn't do valuetown anymore.
He has said on his stream he'll come back to HS for the expac. Additionally he has said he is starting to get tired of gwent. We'll see I suppose. I would like nox too. He was actually the first HS streamer I ever watched. I remember he would sit there and eat entire blocks of cheese lol.
I wish Noxious would do it too, but ya I think that ship has sailed. But speaking of Valuetown, ChanmanV would actually do pretty well. For that matter I would watch Alliestrazsa too. I enjoyed that interview with the Dev she did earlier.

Why not just someone acting as lich king in a custome.
Who is better to review the lich king expansion than the lich king itself?
Since this is either put random streamers in and comment about them or discuss Brian Kibler.
I shall take the first root... p4wnyhof

Who actually wants to watch Kripp complain about every card for 2 hours? Oh 50,000 people twice a day on YouTube. Got it.
Disguised Toast!
I heartily approve of your impersonations.
