Do you think you would like HS better if there were no RNG in the game? Obviously there will always be luck involved with card draw, but as far as card effects, would you like the game better or not as much?
Define ''better'' it would become more skillful (it would be like chess with card draw-rng), but it probably wouldn't be as fun to play. Rng is good for the game as it makes it more exiting - too much rng will make it boring though (it's kind of like spices in food, a bit is good but a lot ruins it)
RNG is good for Hearthstone when it allows some sort of read. Like I know what potions I can get from Kazakus, but it is a gamble, a choice I have to make. Bad rng is, Oh i have this firelands portal, oh I got Leeroy off of it. I guess I win. Another example of bad rng is drawing none of your antiaggro cards in a match against aggro and losing because of that on turn 0. These are reasons why Hearthstone needs to move away from babbling book type cards and dramtically slow down early game. That doesn't mean kill aggro, but let's make the powerful aggro cards come out in the later game. Dragon Warrior is a great aggro deck that hits hard all game but still finishes opponents in the late game. That is what we should have instead of the turn 4 wins pirates enabled.
The RNG is what gives the kinda new players a fair chance. Without some RNG the game will be like playing chess but only depending on the card draws. Sometimes I think that's what can make hearthstone a good game (not now because of the pirates) and enjoyable to watch even.
It has good ratings, it has card draw, you draw 10 cards in the start, then you don't draw automaticly anymore, just with cards. You also can replace 3 cards in start.

I have question for you first, what would make Hearthstone different to other card games without it?
While it debatable whether or not RNG is becoming too powerful, the reason why this game stands out compared to others is because it can do something which most card games don't do, that is it allows players to make actions which are out of their control. Yes it may work for you, but it could also backfire on you. That's something which most card games can't do.
It'd be a different game, not necessarily a better or worse one really. I'm not sure whether I'd like it as much though. RNG to create goofy or laughable moments is sort of woven into the fabric of Hearthstone's identity, and taking that out would completely change the nature of the game itself.
No i really like RNG, as long as it is fairly costed. I like RNG with reduced card pools more, but I don't mind super-RNG cards like Saraad either.
I think (trying to) playing around rng cards is actually the most skillful thing you can do in Hearthstone, and I don't know it's just fun and entertaining in general.
When it comes to cards like Piloted shredder, Dr boom, old Yogg, I definitely DON'T want more of this. Because they are undercosted, aka overpowered, that generally means the worst outcome will still be fairly powerful, while the best outcome will be simply gamebreaking. And because they're OP, it also means they are generally uninteractive, because the opponent CAN'T interact with it with the same amount of mana crystals.
Sorry, but here you are very wrong. It needs undercosted minions/spells for it, because if not, nobody will play it or it will simply be not successful.
See Priest: He got Shifting Shade in WoG, and we all know how good priest was in WoG. It's a strictly worse shredder and it was simply bad. To be viable it needs a strong rng-card, because a weak one will nobody play. But it also needs to be a risk with it. Does it need to be as strong as Piloted Shredder? No, but for example Piloted Sky Golem was actually pretty fair.
Do you mean without any type of RNG, like card draw RNG, for example?
You commented here without reading the post?
Ok, my bad. But the poll says: "Would you like HS with NO RNG at all?". I think it's conflicting statements.
Understandable, I did have it worded a bit weird. I guess my question is more along the line of HS having cards with RNG effects. I think there are too many-particularly the early game. Like how many games have been decided (essentially) from perfect or perfectly bad Arcane Missiles? Too many in my opinion.

Still not sure if I hate Hearthstone...or love it.
I think the game itself would be better, since you would have a system extremely more fair for players. But being a better and more fair game won't make it precisely more enjoyable, HS is meant to be a fun game and RNG does it part on that.
People will cry anyway tho, take out RNG and they will want to avoid topdecking by not letting you play the latest card you draw, ask for nerfs on Novice Engineer or some shit like that. There is some people than you will never be able to please.

Play against a pirate Warrior, and count how many times his deck uses RNG. Then ask yourself, "Do I want to fight that deck every time?"

A little less RNG, yes. Remove RNG altogether? No.
Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
Less RNG would be better.
Card draw is Pure RNG. Says enough

I can't wait for Gwent's release (to all)! It has very little rng, and it's a nice game overall (check it out if u don't know it OpieOP)
RNG makes hearthstone fun, it makes us all laugh sometimes, that's the best thing about it.. :D

Do you mean without any type of RNG, like card draw RNG, for example? No, I don't think it's good idea for a card game.

poker is almost the same thing.
if the best always wins would not be funny for casual players--->no rng,no game no money for noone.
in hs ther s also the fact that a deck counter another, btw rng is still relevant for that reason.
