Am I the only one that has actually enjoyed the meta after MSG? I see a ton of whining posts but not so much of anyone saying they like it.
I think I like because TOG meta was so random with cards such as yogg and that just was not fun at all for me. After Khara most the decks seem to autopilot themselves with the shaman being the perfect example. Now it at least seems like a lot of the decision making (albeit a lot being in tech cards) has been brought back. It's not pray to win with yogg or just play on curve with big minions as much as it has been.
Of course everyone gonna jump in and say there is no decision making with face warrior but it really is very easy to beat them with a few tech cards. And surprisingly enough a few of the same cards aren't half bad against jade decks.
Aya Blackpaw is one of the strongest legendarys ever made for sure... That doesn't make it the best designed tho...
I still think it's way better designed than Yogg, Cthun or even Dr. Boom. There is no randomness to the card which i really can't stress enough how much I like that. I feel like it is on the same power level as Boom but the no random bullcrap makes it much better designed in my opinion.
I quite like it. I think pirate warrior's dmg is too high and too consistent, and I think jade idol recycle should be capped... I don't have a problem with it holding an an edge versus control decks, but there is really no reason to make it an auto-loss... and it's going to ruin tournament metas I think.
But all in all it is a good expansion. I'm a bit sad that mage is shaping up to be the new dumpster class.
And m/r shaman is still top dog, not much change there.
The meta is always interesting once an expansion hits. We'll have to wait a bit to see what decks end up on top before I can call it a great meta, but i'm definitely having fun rn and I'm hopeful for the future
We can't allow are-selves to give into pleasure and fun, we must stay strong during these trying times and let salt flow freely with a negative attitude.
My only concern is with jade druid: Aggro has to beat it fast or it loses and control is too slow to win unless it is also a jade deck. I think its driving people to play aggro so we will get stuck with this meta of two choices with all the in betweens being not quite good enough.
This meta is by far the worst I've ever played so far imo. Their is absolutly no interactions between players.
Seeing your oponent play insanely strong golems for 1mana or minions/weapons that have been buffed insanely high and litteraly watching these being played w/o being able to do anything about it is just not fun. The only solutions to 8/8 golems or 6/6 3mana costs minion is defeating you oponent before this happens... Meaning rushing face as fast as possible, and this is not my description of fun.
When the only counter to something is win before that something happens, that is just the worst.
The problem which I'm having is trying to find a deck which is both fun but also doesn't feel like I'm winning just because I have excellent RNG. So I'm enjoy trying to create a new deck which is something I don't usually like doing. (And trying to create a good Control Warrior is not going well for me...)
The only thing I don't enjoy is like you said losing to very aggro decks, as well as to the Jade Golem Decks. However I do feel that it could change in a few weeks and even if it doesn't, I know that when the cards get rotated out, it will be at that point we will know for sure it the game has become more balanced.
But when I consider all things, I do feel that this expansion has created something more interesting. To be honest, I think the reason why some are complaining is because it's a very different way to play the game unlike how it has been. However when I look at the game, I think it's going in the right direction. It's not great step, but I do think i think it's a good step for the future of the game.
Yeah i think control warrior took a pretty good hit this set but then again control warrior has been viable for quite a while now. And you can still play warrior with the face variety so I'm not that upset about one archetype going downhill.

Face Warriors have many tough decisions.. go face or maybe go face?
Hell yes. So many fun decks to play.
Yeah, I think face warrior and Jade Druid are more easy to counter than Midrange Shaman.
As annoying as Pirate Warrior is I still prefer to play against it than Midrange Shaman. Was super close to uninstalling because of that deck.

Mage dumpster class? In case noone noticed, Freeze Mage is auto-win vs Jade decks and Dragon Priest :P Pirate warrior is more of a 50/50 though

My Entry for this week's Card Design Competition - Season 8.16:
Plenty of people are taking care of that for me this time. I took one for the team and did it the last 2 new card sets so imma sit back and enjoy now.

i defnitelly not enjoying at all, damn, nothing i play seens to work for more than 3 games.
need take time to make new pic and signature using the new cards.
Definitely enjoying something different, making terrible new decks that are fun to play.
