I love some of the mechanics they introduced in this particular expansion.
Kabal's Reno support cards are brilliant in my opinion.
Hand buff mechanic is...fair, even though it could have some unfair potential.
But I want to talk about one part of the game that's been introduced.
Jade Golem. I thought this was going to be either the most broken mechanic ever introduced or
just be too slow, but it turned out to be pretty broken.
Who would've thought that 1 mana 1010 wasn't broken enough?
I know it's a little too early in the season, but now this deck effectively erased a viable deck
that was playable for years: Control Warrior. Control warriors are on the verge of being playable.
Now this is only for the future reference and future reference only.
I think it is absolutely fun mechanic and people should play around with it til it is nerfed a bit.
We could just nerf the Jade Golem itself or nerf the Jade Idol to:
I couldn't find the pure image for the card.
That was my review of this expansion so far. What do you guys think? What is broken and what is not? Do you think Jade Golem is broken like me or do you think otherwise? Leave your opinion in comment down below.

It's not that hard: control wins aggro and loses to midrange. Combo should never be included in this equation.

Jade golem punishes control in general. This is obviously bad for the game. You need control and that right now is reno of any kind. However they get destroyed by jade. I am actually super nervous when I que up rn. Some matchups are just so pungent that it makes me not want to play. Who wants to play control when if you que druid you are almost guaranteed to lose. So instead people play aggro. Simply but jade is destroying matchup balance
we thought c'thun druid was going to be broken but it wasn't. We thought karazhan beast druid was going to crush the meta but it didn't. We expected golems to be druids' best friends but no, they are girls' best friends. First time I'm really happy we have those people playing retarded face decks keeping in check jade golems. On the other side, face decks are really easy to counter with some new amazing tools from this expansion.
Reno Kazakus destroys Jade Druid, you just Brann/Kazakus for two 10 mana potions and show them who the king of value town is. Even without Renolock, I think the cycle of Control Warrior > Freeze Mage > Jade Druid > Control Warrior is ok.
I played only like 20 games so far. I met Shaman, Hunter & Lock who go face and some anyfins & mysterious challengers...so when it comes to my games played there are no pros...
I need to try first myself what cool deck i can beat out of the new cards. So far i couldnt figure out how to use the new cards smart :P
Reno decks are great against Pirate warrior, not so much against Jade druid... Played a few matches with Druid and 3 of them were against reno-Kazakus mage. Won all 3 cause i kept playing threats and he couldn't deal with it. I've played against a dragon priest and got rekt. you could possibly try that.
Actually playing Grimy Goons midrange Pala and damn, this deck rocks! Had about 8/10 wins, some vs midrange shamans, guess just had some luck cause didn't meet any pirate aggro warrior. Also counter some jade druids with this decks.

Eh I say increase it to 2 mana and call it a day. I think it would be completely reasonable this way and keeps it still relatively usable which is important. Aggro already destroys them and I've noticed some Jade Druids begin putting things like Living Roots to ease the pressure.
Although Jades may seem pretty strong, they did in a sense create this 'balance triangle' between the factions that we are currently seeing; which imo I would take any day over facing Shaman over and over again and being able to do nothing about it except play more SHAMAN.
I LOVE Jade Druid. It's easily killed by Pirate Warrior or Hand Hunter, yet it keeps the most annoying decks in check.
I've defeated Control Warrior only once in the entire time I've played Hearthstone. Freeze mage, Reno anything... They're so pathetic and lame. They're even easier to pilot than an aggro deck - they hardly have to make any tough decisions on when to trade.
So to all Control Warriors out there? BHAHAHAHA. Good riddance.
I think that Pirate rogue with Leeroy, Cold Blood and other stuff is better than many of these jade golem decks. Even better than goon decks. Might be difficult to play versus kabal decks tough but can't really see any Kabal decks in ladder lol. Like everyone still playing Midrange Shaman or Druid and with that I'm just facing through
Played about 40 games on ladder so far. Blizzard just absolutely took a dump on the slower meta they've pushed since Old Gods.
* Cancer face decks are more powerful than ever. Turn 4 pirate warrior victories are not uncommon. Zoo is still great, and once someone figures out hand buff paladin, we will see a lot of it.
* Nearly all control loses to Jade Druid. Sure Renolock is favored, but the old control paradigms stand no chance.
Honestly, I wonder what goes through Blizzard's head. Just like secret paladin being so broken from the start, it makes me wonder who the hell is on the balance team because there is nothing balanced right now about pirate warrior or jade druid.
I just played aggressive buff paladin with whole bunch of charge minions. It's a lot more powerful than I thought. I even produced 1 mana 9 8 Southsea Deckhand with charge. I thought I was gonna lose that match since I had bad opening, but I beat that guy down.

I saw both Dog and Savjz make #2 legend with Reno Mage and Warlock, respectively. The decks definitely have the tools to beat Jade Golem (though, Pirate Warrior is more popular in high ranks).

Too early to discuss what's broken, bro.

Once people find control decks that beat jade, we've got ourselves a good meta.

Absolutely no sympathy for control decks.

I think Jade Golem is surprisingly turning out to be good in Rogues with Gangups and Raptors. What do you think?
