Built what I think might be as optimal as you can get for evenlock. Still not certain if warlock benefits too much from 1 mana taps but a turn 3 mountain giant doesn't sound bad.
This is the list I have been running lately. I gravitated towards this list due to the exclusion of Kindly Grandmother. The card feels really slow and overall awkward in all stages of the game. What do you all think of the card in midrange hunter overall. For the most part the cards seems to be considered by most to be a staple to the archetype. I feel like the card can't stand on its own and needs activators which the deck does run but it feels bad to drop this at any point of the game and hope to have or draw something like Crackling Razormaw or Houndmaster to ensure not falling behind with the low stats. Just want to hear what others think since I do believe that my opinion is defiantly in the minority.
Tell me what you think of Kindly Grandmother in midrange and weather or not its too slow or not and what cards to use instead. I will say that I was using lists with the card prior to using this list and hit a wall at 5 with them. However after switching to this list I have climbed upto 3 fairly easily.
Doesn't seem to be a stable 5 drop this time. Which is good instead we will see decks use 5 drops that synergize with their deck. Will be good to see different cards. Examples are Direhorn Hatchling for taunt warrior and Tol'vir Warden in the quest hunter.
Might look like a Webspinner reprint but this card is not just better as its a battlecry but some the cards you can get off of this are insane. This was the 1 drop hunter needed for quest. Something that is equivalent to cycle and is sometimes better. Even though it might be a copy the original was really well designed and so this one will be too. Very excited for hunters potential.
If only this card had a little more to it and it would decently see play. Something as simple as a 1/1 body attached it would defiantly makeup for how slow this card is. Otherwise a card that is most effect in the early game to ensure you get the spell you want but bad in the early game due to the loss of tempo just will not see play. Maybe if the quests and the other new cards slow down the game enough but still might not be enough sadly.
If they get rid of Gadgetzan Auctioneer any time soon they will destroy rogue. They have failed to introduce any other successful archetype for rogue and they know that. They know if they remove that card they will have another class with no identity and just another "hunter." I guarantee they will rotate it out eventually but they need the time to come up with a more successful plan for the class. And I think thats a good plan.
This is not true at all .
A lot of pro players have had succes with aggro rogue lately . Sure, the deck will lose STB soon but I think it can do well enough even without him .
You literally said it ur self. That deck dies when it loses stb. We are talking about the future of rogue as a whole. Having just another aggro deck is not a good thing. Plus that is mostly a tournament deck where you can decide what you play against and remove bad matchups. There isn't really one now but there used to be a difference between ladder decks and tournament decks.

This all goes back to the whole idea of certain deck archetypes being forced upon the players. You are correct in saying there isn't much of a draw back to reno right now and that is because the options they gave us and what they didn't give other decks. 3 of the class legendaries from this expansion are specific to highlander decks. If that doesn't show how much they forced upon this style then I don't know what to say. Reno was cool when it was first released because it forced players to use less used cards as a result. Twisting Nether is a good example of this. That was fun but now when they create more cards specifically for that style it takes away from the deck.
There is a time period after the nerf is live that u get full dust value. U can open up the card during that time and still get full value. U can buy packs during the time to get dust if u want. That is what I would do.
Seeing a lot of the stable cards I have become use to seeing so often makes me excited about what is to come. If it wasn't already clear the next expansion has a lot of pressure on its shoulders as how it will or will not replace these cards. In blizzard we trust!

I think we can already give warlock the forced archetype of the expansion award
